I dont know how ive just seen this thread but these are some of the best entries ive ever seen in a competition. You guys have really stepped up the work. Fantastic. My notable favourites are American Horror Stories Nun Bust- Great choice of face. American Horror Stories Nun and RubberMan (Superb technique for him!) Gachnar and Fear Itself Buffy. Super Sculpting and the bases are fantastic Spider Demon Buffy. Superb work here Sasha. The pose is very natural and it has great movement. Love it Halloween House Buffy. Great idea, very creepy. And i particularly love Sashs ABADDON. Such an awesome character. You've really captured her likeness and sass! Awesome work Ofcourse all entries were superb. If i knew about this thread and had time to vote, it would have been very difficult to

I've never seen or used this technique for casting before, great work! Its a great idea for a one off, saves on expensive moulding materials. The shape looks pretty spot on and the colour is nice. Looks shiny. Nice leather wrapping on this too. And I agree, it is a fantastic weapon (Plus it has a wicked name!) Great work Ah okay, fair enough. Although I made it from a pretty thick slab of resin, as I said it's very strong/sturdy so I doubt it's going to get broken. It's not a flimsy bit of plastic... I also have no intention to mishandle it, merely display it. I only imagine it would break if it were slammed against another hard surface... But then again I'm not planning on using it as a toy (or as a weapon to kill demons in a Hell Dimension under the streets of LA). For that reason I'm sticking with just the leather straps, it's not a toy This is a common problem i face with my props. Resin is strong, unless it is dropped or slammed against something. You could drop it from a height and it would be fine and then sharply lay it on a surface and it would snap. Especially in thin long sections (the shape of the casting plays a huge part in the strength) But as Greg said, it is not a toy, its purely for display. Once its on the wall/display case. It is unlikely to be played with.

Great replica. The modifications are sweet! Not too sure of the gold, but it could be the photos. Seems a bit lack luster but I cant remember how the gold looked in the show. But gold spray paints seem to go 2 ways. Extremely tacky or elegant. This one does look elegant. Did you seal it? I learned never to seal gold paint! And the smaller leather cord looks great Great work

Which pig? The amazon one? It looks like there are slight differences between the Aurora Plush pig and the factory x pig, but they do look very similar, it's mostly the snout and the fluffiness that differ. Yeh the Amazon one. I know the photo looks like it on Amazon but apparently lots of Buffy collectors have brought it and the item they actually received looked nothing like the image

Great idea, not seen a piece with Giles in before. The base is a nice shape. Her hair-sculpt is nice and her face looks serene too. I'm not keen on the pose of the leg, it seems a tad awkward rather than graceful. I think her trousers could do with being a lot lighter too. At the moment they look like jeans rather than grey cotton pants (Could just be the lighting in the pictures though) Cant wait to see Giles

Hey All Ive made my first paper Prop Replica from Buffy. The Tarot Deck as seen in Primeval'. This deck was used during the Enjoining Ritual to defeat Adam. Included are the four cards 'Spiritus', 'Sophus', 'Animus', 'Manus'. As well as a Ritual card and numbered Certificate. Each card measures 10cm x 17cm. The artwork was created by myself and printed onto a thick card stock. 2 Sets are included in this set, so you can have one set displayed and the other set to play with. I hope you all like, I am really pleased with this set. Available to purchase now from my brand new Facebook Shop! tinyurl.com/willowswarlok

I love Evanescence! Amy Lee has a very specific look and you pulled it off. I would never have known she was made using a Claire head! Her dress is beautiful too. I first thought it was a Jonax Hex figure but great choice! The base is lovely too, the fake snow works well. Ive seen it but never used it. The likeness is great, i think the heavy makeup brings out her likeness even more. The hand in the hair is a nice touch. One nitpick. Her folded arm seems a little short. Might wanna check that against a real figure arm. It could just be the photos but the space between her elbow and wrist seems rather short. But overall, thats a small part. Great figure. Never seen an Amy Lee before and this one is great Wayne

Great work Gregory! I'm surprised you managed to sculpt the jacket AFTER you added the hair. Hair is always the last thing i add to a sculpt. I wouldn't worry too much about making the jacket too "fat". Isn't it Angels jacket anyway? Its probably supposed to be over-sized. I agree with BA1, at this scale you can really push the folds and creases. Looking great so far. Cant wait to see her together Wayne

I think this is a great figure. Much better than my first customs. There are obviously things that need to be fixed for next time. sanding down some of the lumpy parts, joining the neck smoother and finishing the hair to match the shoulders. but for a headswap and repaint, this is a great figure. You should be very proud. Maybe get some smaller brushes to paint the gold detail next time but overall i think think its great Keep up the good work

These are awesome Sasha! The likeness to Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender are awesome. I had no idea they had figures out. Very cool! I was going to mention Mystique's name but I see you are going to fix that. I particularly like how you have done Mystique's skin. It looks very natural.
Great work!

Hello Everyone. I have been promising a brand new Prop Replica for a while and it has been so difficult to keep it a secret! But now I can finally unveil it. I first planned this at college 6 years ago but finally had the time to make it and do it justice. I present to you, the Shadow Caster from Season 7 "Get It Done'. Buffy and the Gang use this to tell the Origin story of the Slayer. To me this is one of the most iconic props from Buffy and has never been made as a replica before! This has taken an incredible amount of planning and work but I think it has really paid off. Again, everything was made by me from start to finish. I will be releasing information very shortly on how to order one of these for those who are interested. Thanks for looking and please enjoy the video. Better photos will be coming soon but I think a piece like this deserves to be shown through video! Wayne tinyurl.com/buffyshadow

Wow love this set. The first slayer is very fluid, has great movement. The sheer bandages look great. Buffy is one of the best Restless Buffy's I have seen. The only thing lets her down for me is the hairsculpt. Its rather harsh compared to the rest of her delicate body and looks shower-fresh for me, rather heavy and limp. Not silky and light. Hair can make or break a figure in my opinion, so here are some tips, if you want them You seem to have nailed everything else, so I hope you dont mind. The locks on the top of the head are nicely defined. But I think has it become a bit too much on the bottom of her hair (especially her left side). Not sure what type of tools you use but I usually use a thin metal sculpting tool. Define the locks but then very gentle add detail- which at this scale isn't much. Her right side has great form, I can see you use snakes to sculpt it. I would suggest flattening these ever so slightly next time you put them on, to make them less snake like, and gently blend everything together, just to stop harsh undercuts (which = harsh shadows in the final painted piece) Hair should have some of the wider gaps like your Buffy has on the right side but generally this will be where the hair splits over the shoulders, not the front of the hair. Hope that's helped

Why is the MAC willow in a DST package? I believe DST took the line over before MAC could release the Willow line. So DST released them insted Personally, i think that Willow line contains some of the best Buffy figures available

Thanks for the comments everyone Amazing. As if we would expect less. Could you do a comparison between the old and new one? Heres a photo comparing the new one to my original, You can see the shape is quite off on my first one. New one is on the left, old one is on the right

Hey Everyone I've been missing for a while again because I've been busy working on some new Prop Replicas. I stepped away from them because I had no time but ive been working on some lately. There will be a number of them coming (another hopefully very very soon!) This is a new version of my Urn of Osiris (I made my first one back at College around 6 years ago)The symbols are more accurate as i had reference to the real Urn. The shape of the urn has also been refined. These are completely made by me from start to finish. They are made from a very strong resin. Which means these babies pretty much bounce and wont get broken during Shipping. I will be taking "Pre-Orders" on these. And begin making them very soon. If you are interested, please feel free to drop me a PM and I can add you to my list. I am asking £45GBP for an Urn. Shipping is dependant on your country but will not be very expensive because they are very light! Also, if you havent seen my Facebook page, maybe give it a browse and like? www.facebook.com/willowswarlokThanks for looking Wayne
