Hey All Ive been planning this prop for ages but never seemed to get around to it because of the metal trim around the edge. Anyway, seeing how theres alot of replicas being made of this lately, i didnt want to post it on here, but ive been asked to. So here it is. The Gentlemen's Voice Box from Hush. Made from Oak, stained to match the colour from the show. The detail was drawn out by me and laser cut from Aluminium. Then hand bent around the box. I took particular care to replicate the number and position of the pins in the metal trim. I also managed to find the same hinges that were used on the original box. I will be selling a very small number of these but currently have one on eBay if anyone is interested. Ends in less than 24 hours www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251475336794?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649Anyway, enough chit chat, heres the pics. Hope you guys like Wayne

Yeh I have one of these. its exactly the same as the one on the show but tiny. Seems like they did just purchase a real trophy. Though I've searched for hours for the fullsize one and have been unable to find it but its a neat mini prop to have.

Since Sculpey is oil based and not water based, i use Lighter Fluid. I found that out years ago and have never looked back. Just pour a little out into a plastic cup or plate and brush it on. Dont flood the sculpey or it will do like mush. Use a soft brush to remove any strokes left behind. Lighter fluid will help to blend joints, melt stray lumps of clay and smooth areas. Although the fluid will help to smooth, you will still need to sand after. I use those sanding pads You'd be surprised at how many uses Lighter Fluid has around the home and art studio. It even says so on the side of the tin. Hope that helps

yeah i know for a whole body could i use liquid latex to make the mould but what could i use to put in the mould to make the arm legs or torso ?? Latex takes a long time to cure and there can be issues with shrinkage. For the best moulds, silicone is definately best

Yeh Josh, that will work for a face but for a full figure it wouldn't be adequate enough. Unfortunately an entire body and legs and arms present a problem when using Silicone, its not the easiest job but is doable

Im with BA1 here, the proportions are totally off. Her arms look longer than her legs...
The MAC Cordy is so dainty compared to the giganto DST Dawn/Glory. I think you need to swap those legs out. Also why waste a great pair of Cordy legs on a dress that entirely covers them?
You need to try and be a lot more conscious with your choice of parts. Its quite obvious that a Cordy figure that is barely 6" is not going to work with a Dawn/Glory figure that is pushing 7"

This is great (as usual) I know first hand how hard it is to capture Jensens likeness and even at this teeny scale you've managed it. He has the right amount of attitude and femininity that makes up his face. Superb work

Ive had some luck making moulds from painted parts without any problem. Depends on the silicone i guess. There can be some oil that could leach into the paint but if your paint is sealed, it should be fine. Maybe do a test if you can first?

Love this!!! I always love seeing OMWF Tara customs, especially with this recipe. It's a classic custom!! I would consider a lighter coat of paint for the bottom of the dress and the sleeves....not sure if thats the camera lighting or the actual color. It seems a little too dark based on caps from the episode. Also the corset seems to be blue, again not sure if thats the lighting but. Try a very light sea green color? Other than that very nice, I also love the choice of base. I agree with PJ here. I think the colours look off. Tara worse a turquoise-y corset and brown/orange skirt and sleeves. her outfit pops whereas I think yours looks a bit dark. I like the subtle hair extension, that works well. I also like the articulation in her arms. Did you not want to add some sleeve detail? I think it could make it more detailed Very smooth paint-job too!

For buffys hair i usually mix a brown, yellow ochre, white and a touch of red. I usually use a straw colour as a base too

Hey All Its been a long time since I've posted a figure. Ive recently had the urge to customise again and after having the posed body laying around for months- i decided to get cracking on this one. So I started with a PF Buffy body and then cut it up into pieces at the torso and legs. I then reposed her to be in a standing pose. I cut her feet off and sculpted new bare feet. I kept them bare so I could use them in future. I then sculpted the dress, hair and sandals. Premium Formats always present a problem when boiling, so i part boiled in sections so i wouldn't damage the sculpts. Then i finished the figure off using a heat gun. It gave the sculpey a real hard finish (probably similar to oven baking) The base was made by sculpting a rough shape in wet clay, then moulding and casting in light resin. I then covered in sand- this left some nice lumps in the sand. I added some fake grass and printed out a scaled down set of my Tarot Card replicas. Buffy is designed to be posed from a side angle, just like its shown in the episode. I of course gave her a slight blow to her dress and hair. As the ears were exposed, i gave her some ear piercings too! I hope you all like, Im extremely pleased with her and have many more planned Thanks for looking Wayne

Great to see your work! I always get excited seeing a new thread from you. I am a HUGE HUGE Chucky fan!
First of all, I haven't seen your Chucky custom before, but it amazes me that you have managed to do something that almost ALL companies have failed. You have actually got a likeness down on both.
The Chucky custom is great! He actually looks like Chucky. He has expression and the facial structure is actually correct. The scars and damage look spot on too!
As for Tiffany. She is beautiful! I didn't see the original one but even that was good! The new one is tonnes better though. The face is great, perhaps a little too round in my mind but that's just me being picky because its so awesome! The eyes are perfect, the expression is perfect. I would have perhaps like to have seen a slight open crazy mouth but the smirk is enough.
I particularly love her hair and hands! The hair is perfect, from behind it looks like a real haircut, kudos on that. The hands are perfect too. Tiffany has very unique hands, you captured them perfectly.
The attention to detail is superb. Any plans for a Glen? Although he disappointed me slightly. Perhaps a tiny new born evil looking Glen instead?
Superb work overall. Love it!

Woah. Bargain but damaged. Like BA1 said, its easily fixable. Id take a slightly different approach but either way would work. I would use Car Body Filler for the damage, this stuff is strong. It stinks but they use it on cars, so you know it will be strong. And it sands nicely. Personally. Id seal this thing up, its not likely you will store stuff in it anyway. Fix the damage, like BA1 said, stuff the areas with card or paper and fill over them. Then i would glue the front to the box and fix any more visible cracks. This book needs a repaint anyway (damaged or not) but i think its definitely do able Wayne

I really love her!!! I would just like to say, maybe rethink the color of her jeans. They seem a bit off and too blue. Should be a ligher more jean color! Like in this picture below. btw are you planning on adding the little flowerish pattern on her jacket? Looking good! I agree with PJ about the colours. I havent ever seen the Tikis in person so I dunno what the paint colours are like in person but for me, i think she needs to be dulled down a bit. Shes too bright and new. Depends on the style you are going for but compared to the prototype are, I would. -Dull down the hair, its a bit too yellow. -Lighten the jacket (the artwork seems very pale, though it could be the hair and jeans colour making it look different) -Jeans look too blue. They are almost navy. I would mix a green. blue, brown and white and try to match the proto image Of course its your figure so these are just suggestions Also if the stake on the scythe bothers you, you could use a stake from a 12" figure and glue it on Great work Greg, the casting outcome still impresses me. Its not easy. and her face is mega cute! EDIT: Just seen your comment about the jeans haha

I am HUGE Resident Evil fan and this screams Milla.
Her face seems to lack a bit of depth (Could be the lighting?) But the likeness is bang on, especially the eyes and mouth. Love it.
Great work Henz, I love seeing original sculpts

Wow, this is impressive! First of all, kudos on having the balls to make a mould of something that isn't broken/damaged lol. And kudos on the great mould making. I cant see any visible seam lines and everything looks great! The Scythe looks a bit warped, but ive never seen a Tiki in person, so i dont know if thats how the Scythe actually is (You can fix that with a hairdryer or boiling water btw) EDIT: Just read that part lol Looks just like the sketch, cant wait to see this finished. Now the Gift Buffy please

Hey All Not sure if you remember but when I was at College (About 6-7 years ago) I made a series of Buffy props. Scythe, Hammer, Urn, Angel Stakes, Hunga Munga and Spikes Amulet. (My old Hunga Munga can be seen here i44.tinypic.com/2i9pnw2.jpg)Ive recently remade the Urn of Osiris and began remaking the Trolls Hammer and Hunga Munga back in June. However, due to other commitments, these took the backseat. I have recently finished the remake of my Hunga Munga and I'm currently selling them on my Facebook store. I gave this one a more decorative handle to my last version. This is cast in reinforced resin and distressed by hand for an old look and finished with real leather for the handle. I only have a few more of these left. Hope you all like You can find this and my other props on my Facebook Store. www.facebook.com/willowswarlok/app_194374697299935?ref=tsthanks Wayne
