Wow, this is impressive! First of all, kudos on having the balls to make a mould of something that isn't broken/damaged lol. And kudos on the great mould making. I cant see any visible seam lines and everything looks great! The Scythe looks a bit warped, but ive never seen a Tiki in person, so i dont know if thats how the Scythe actually is (You can fix that with a hairdryer or boiling water btw) EDIT: Just read that part lol Looks just like the sketch, cant wait to see this finished. Now the Gift Buffy please

I would love to make more of her and did plan to, but she has definitely been the most difficult to cast so making a mould of the finished project would only be more difficult down to the shape of the damn jacket. So I'll see how it goes on this one and if I have the patience to do her again. Wow, this is impressive! Now the Gift Buffy please Aha! Well I'll have to do a lot of completely original sculpting if I'm to make the Gift Buffy tiki but she would be one that I'd love to do, that's for sure maybe I'll put her on the list...

Love this Greg. I have always LOVED the Tooned up line of figures....and I have always wanted a Chosen tiki....I was so upset to hear SMG stop the production of these lovely pieces. Never understood why. I actually love that it looks like a prototype...but I agree will look cooler painted. I hope you do end up making more of these. I would love to finally add her to my collection of Tikis! :3

I've always thought about mixing those two statues to create the Chosen tiki by looking at them on my display shelf. I had the idea to find two broken statues so it would have been simple to interchange OMWF head on EOD body then repaint the whole thing, but you did it without breaking anything (except those fingers :/) and by creating an all new statue... very impressive, bravo I hope you'll be able to finish her she will be gorgeous

Wow! Great work so far. Really impressive casting! I'm so crap at that. I can't wait to see her.

So I've smoothed out the neckline where the casts were joint (spraying with primer really helps to show up all the imperfections better) and I've also sanded down the bits that have been sculpted. I've given it a basic paint over to see how the colours work... I'll post pics later when there's some actual visible progress. I'm waiting for the new paint to arrive so fingers crossed that'll be soon!! Oooh and I fixed the wonky scythe issue... Though the stake end now looks a little short. But it's toony so I think I get away with it:P

Um, I think you'd get better results if you hand paint rather than spray paint. Also I'm not sure if you noticed but the hair and the jacket are not the same color. You may be using a spray base for the hair. I'd say use a canary yellow for the brightness on the hair to brighten it up with a different shade.
All in all I believe it's a nice start.

You may be using a spray base for the hair. I'd say use a canary yellow for the brightness on the hair to brighten it up with a different shade. All in all I believe it's a nice start. I did notice that the hair and jacket are different colours... it's um, pretty obvious. I used a spray beige colour the same as the jacket. It works perfectly for the shoes and the jacket as they are the same colour.... and also the perfect base to work on top of for an even skin tone by adding the more peachy hues to lighten and pinken the skin. While at the same time it also works as the perfect base colour for her hair.... That's one of the good things about neutral tone spray paints. I'm obviously going to hand paint all the rest to get the colours right... You'll also see that I've sanded again over the jacket.... As I said this is only the first stage of the painting process... I wouldn't like to use a canary yellow on her hair as that is farrr too bright and basic a shade. Neither of the other tiki's have canary yellow and the EOD Buffy is set only a day before Chosen so I'm gonna aim to match the yellow of that tiki. but thanks for your last comment

The others don't have a shine... They aren't a gloss finish. So I won't be doing that no, but thank you

I really love her!!! I would just like to say, maybe rethink the color of her jeans. They seem a bit off and too blue. Should be a ligher more jean color! Like in this picture below. btw are you planning on adding the little flowerish pattern on her jacket?
