Out of every figure... 6" or 12"... this was my most anticipated. I got mine today... and was, too, dissapointed. I immediately removed the clothing from her and switched it with Vampire Buffy and Vamp Buffy in the Pink Sweater outfit looks AWESOME... but still no justice is given to regular Willow with the vampire clothing. I took a few pics, but they aren't ready for viewing now. Ugh PICTURE IS HERE...

Thanks Gooball. I hope everyone who is disappointed writes a letter whether or not they return the figure. I'm also hoping you are right that the problem could be just the exclusives and maybe Sideshow will offer to replace the heads of the not so good ones but I'm kind of doubting they will be different.
I really think if enough of us let them know how displeased we are with this figure they'll make sure nothing like this happens again. I also mentioned that I think they should've posted a updated picture of the figure if it changes that much from the prototype.
Yes, I'm keeping mine, she is passable as Willow from a distance and the outfit looks great. I'm hoping someday they'll do a proper job on a Willow figure and I'll buy two and put this outfit on her. I'm also thinking of putting the outfit on Vampire Willow.
They arrived with a Sideshow catalogue which has Willow shown as the prototype version (and doesn't say prototype either) and it really bugs me that they are still showing us that figure when the one we got looks nothing like it. And the box has the prototype Willow on it too and it's like rubbing salt in a wound to see how beautiful she could've been.
So please, everyone write them and tell them how bad this figure looks.

And then when I get oz i will put the Dingo's shirt on regular willow and raise her hands to her face like she is a screaming fangirl.

I am disappointed in the face changes. It looks as though the chin has changed. And the paint is definitely not the same.

I got her today and am not impressed. Her face looks a little off, her pupils are too small and looking in different directions and her chin is off. I wish that they would have kept the figure the same as the prototype. It would've looked so much better.

I might be sending this back. I love the outfit and from the neck down she is just so darn Willowy-cute but I am on the bandwagon with the face.
I am starting to get the thought into my head that there are alot more important things that my money can go to *coughcreditcardsstudentloanscough* than figures that I don't LOVE.
But if I do send this Willow back then Vampire Willow is going back to- I did only get her because I thought the two of them would be too cool next to each other.
I feel bad though because I want Sideshow, DST, Palisades to do well- and I feel kinda guilty being so nitpicky over what is otherwise an awesome figure.

Well, I can live with how she looks but that doesn't mean I'm pleased. I don't think it is being nitpicky to expect the figure to look the way it was advertised and how they are still advertising it. I want all these companies to do well too but I think they should be making sure their customers are happy too and sending us out what we ordered.
I will say, the figure has grown on me and I can see Willow in her but I would've preferred the original version and because I've seen that this one will always be lacking to me.

Send them back. And don't feel guilty. Sideshow doesn't...you can be sure of that much.

I called this morning to complain and the response on this is overwhelming to Sideshow. Which personally I think was a good thing. Apparently alot of us called. Today they said two things can happen: One a recall which is unlikely Second is they will turn out another Willow much better than this one soon, So I am holding on to mine and see what they do

Thanks Slayathon for that info. I e-mailed them but haven't heard a response yet and I'm glad that they seem to be being bombarded. Again, I think whether people are keeping the figures or not they should let Sideshow know how displeased we are. This is their business and they need to keep their customers happy or they won't have any customers left.
I wish there would be a recall but I suppose that could be very complicated and the idea of a better figure is nice but then we have to shell out more money for something that should've been done right the first time. I am keeping mine and had thought that if they make a better Willow figure I can buy two and give one the cute outfit she is wearing now.
I kind of feel that Sideshow should also offer the next Willow figure at a much lower price to make up for this fiasco.

I dislike the face... but I'm keeping mine... she looks great from a distance. So I set up some yellow tape on my floor which I cannot cross.... because from behind the tape, she looks great... but one step over, then its a disaster area.

THIS IS PURE DISAPPOINTMENT!!! Excuse me but how did SideShow mess this up? My main disappointment is that they fixed Vampire Willow and we end up with a messed up Regular Willow. I really wonder if they messed this figure up since they are rushing these out now. They had enough time with Vampire Willow and if I am correct they did delay it, right? Well, I would rather have a better Human Willow and a not so good Vampire Willow. Willow is my favorite character and I feel that this ruins my Sideshow Collection since my favorite character is not my favorite Sideshow Figure. The clothing and everything else does look great but the face has extremely changed from the picture we have all seen for a long time now. I really do wish this looked like the normal way it should have.
Tell you the truth, I noticed a problem right from the start with GD Buffy and Angel. Buffy to me looks good but I always felt that her eyes are too pink and she looks like she is"scared" unlike the really good "proto picture". Angel's picture looks fantastic and then you open the box and its like ... ummm good but could look and should look like the picture.. Does anyone here buy any other Sideshow Figures? I wonder if this is a problem with just the Buffy line or if the other lines suffer from these drastic changes.
Bottom line for me, I do not think I will send it back but it is a huge disappointment that this could not look better. A HUGE DISAPPOINTMENT!

I could not agree more with the disappointment felt here. I was so excited to see the Sideshow box on my doorstep when I came home yesterday. I opened it up, and UGH!
This is really atrocious. The prototype was SO much better than this thing. I will be returning mine for sure, and also letting Sideshow know how disappointed I am. I may give up on this line, as I've been disappointed with the past few 12" Buffy releases.
I may just stick with the DST lines. They take up less space and are much less expensive.
Sideshow, I'm really disappointed and this excuse for a Willow figure makes me want to just give up on this line.

I'm still outraged as well. Everytime I walk into my Buffy Room and see her I just cringe. I agree, the Vampire Willow turned out AWESOME... but then they blew it with my most anticipated figure (and favorite character as well, if you couldnt already tell).

Funny, I haven't received mine. It has yet to be charged as well and still says processing on my account page. I wonder if all the complaints have slowed down Sideshow shipping the product out. Are there others out there still waiting for thier figure and, os course, wondering what it will look like?

The picture on the box is slightly better than the figure. I'm not sure about Angel. I'll have to look more closely.
