He's working on it. Give the guy a break. Deadlines are necessary evils for contests. They are not required for posting the results. And this is from someone dying to hear the results, even if I couldn't enter. We're not talking End of the World here. mothra Check your PM. I won't continue the discussion on the forum, but I'd be more than happy to via PM.

Wow, I am absolutely astounded! Thanks so much to EVERYONE. To Time and Space and this Forum and CMK1887 and to those who voted! And thank you for the kind words on winning! It's exciting to know that some of you actually enjoyed it!
I agree that all the *poets* did an amazing job and I was just the luckiest. (And I am so happy and thrilled!) It was so much fun to try and write a poem about Spike!
Again, thanks everybody! And, again, cheers to everyone because everyone deserved to win. But, trust me, I am very very very happy that it was me! Wow!!! I still can't believe it!!!

Contrats people. I read all of yours, and they were amazing! Ack.. I hope we don't have any more of these kind of contests. Poetry isn't my forte at all.

Kal-El - that was swell, and I have to stop rhyming with L, goldurnit. But how does one compliment a good bad poem?
PunkRawkerSpike, I just wanted to let you know that your poem gave me fits.

Should I be proud of that, or should I...be sending a check in the mail to pay some sort of a doctor bill? Lol.

Well, it's just me, but I think you should be proud. I've got anti-convulsive meds, so you needn't worry. But am I wrong or are you writing under two names? Which is which? Do you have separate personalities? Who *really* wrote the poem?
I want to know, mothperson

Thank you to all of you that entered the contest. Everyone's poems were fantastic! I'm hoping to have another "poetry-based" contest in the future, so if you have any suggestions for how you think it should be run, post them here, and they will be taken into consideration. How about some other sort of creative contest? Artwork perhaps? I'd love that.

How about some other sort of creative contest? Artwork perhaps? I'd love that. I love the idea of an artwork contest! But you'd have to have at least two categories ..... one for computer-generated artwork and one for natural hand-drawn artwork. That would be awesome. And, naturally, I also love CMK's idea of having another "poetry-based" contest in the future
