It must be because you tried to order three. Originally, there was no limit on the number of Spellbooks people could order. DST quickly corrected this and put a 2 per order limit. If your order had already been placed for more than 2, that's why you would get this error.
I'm not saying it's your fault or that you could have known this was going to happen, just pointing out why. Wait to hear back from DST about getting at least one. The Spellbooks will also be available in Musicland stores (should be pretty soon) so you can try to get one if you have a Media Play, Suncoast, or Sam Goody near you.

Yeah, I'll keep checking my Suncoast for them. If DST decided to limit order quantity after sales began, all orders entered before the change was implemented should have been automatically corrected to reflect the new limits. That way, the first customers who ordered could still get the item, rather than being shut out completely. I had hoped that DST would create a Buffy Collector's Club where members can pre-order or order product directly from them. (Like the Moore CS). I would pay to join, just to have this convenience. As it stands now, I will not order and pay separate shipping costs from every DST exclusive holder. I would rather stop collecting the figures altogether.

I'm really really getting nervous, I ordered ONE spellbook from DST with the 2 day shipping option on wednesday, las week. I should have already arrived but it hasn't and now hearing these stories is just freakin me out. I really need a spellbook and I don't live in the US so I don't have a Music Land store near me!!! I don't know what to do!!!

This doesn't sound good at all... I'm really starting to worry about my order, too. I only ordered one spellbook, and DST still says my order is "pending", but it's been pending since last week. *sigh*

Yes, I have 2 adresses one in Panama (where I live) and one in Us (where my aunts live), usually in emergency situation like DST (that doesn't ship internationally), I send it to my aunts and then they send it to me. :)But keeping on topic, What is happening with my Willow's Spellbook order!!!!!

What does "pending" mean? It means your order is in the process of getting shipped. It hasn't been shipped yet, but it' getting there. -CMK

Thanks man, I was worried there for a while. I thought I wasn't going to get it. You're welcome. Just in case, why don't you go ahead and check with Diamond to see what the long wait is about. It doesn't hurt to be on the safe side. -CMK

Can I complain here for a min? One of the only things that I though MAC did right, was allow all the members to pre-order every figure that was made (for the most part). As someone whom works waay too much, I just don't have the time or energy to chase down all these exclusive figures that are coming out.. and/or even if I do manage to figure out who haas what, it's hit or miss if I can get them before they sold out.
Then I get 2mins to check out the board, and now I see that DST had some of the Spellbook sets, but of course sold out very very quickly (jdging by the posts). It would have been nive for DST to email those of us that are Radical members and give us a 24h heads up or some such, especially since they won't even verify if/when/which exclusives they will/will not have.
And before you say it, yes I understand that they cannot sell certain ones due to the deals they made with the vendors, but how about a list that says "These we will carry, these we won't, and those that we do will go onsale on our site on xxxx day, and there are xxx amount available for sale to Radicals"
Unfoirtunatly, I really want these, and certain ones especially (I give them out as gifts for holidays).
So really - what is my alternative? Does anyone know of such a list that shows who has what? How about a place that I can pre-order all of them?

We can look at creating a list of places to pre-order for each figure. Until DST makes something like MAC's old Collector's Society (which we haven't heard anything about lately) the exclusives will only be available in limited quantities.

I can't forsee DST offering pre-orders of product that they offered as an exclusive to another retailer. The only way around this is creating another Collector's Club with a membership fee. This should prevent complaints from the exlusive holders since Club members have to pay to join and order product. Not all Buffy collectors will join, some may just want to order certain figures and are happy just buying from the exclusive holder. Others collectors, like myself, want every figure, so it's more cost-effective for us to buy from one source. I contacted DST customer service back in March or April and they said that the Radicals membership will fill the void of the MAC Collector's Society until the end of this year. They are working on something new but it's still in it's infancy. I can understand this, since DST will want to see how the new Buffy merchandise will sell before investing in the creation of a club. Is there any interest in the community for a DST Buffy Collector's Club? Sound off! ;D

I can see there being problems with the exclusives... and I can even live with that, but I really wold have liked a head's up email about the spellbook showing up in the store - it's really not that hard of a thing to program for the store to do, and frankly, if I had gotten an email but missed out, then it'd be my own fault, and I wouldn't complain :-)
That being said, CMK - that's a perfect list! Thanks (of course, it proves that I can't get everything in one store.. but hey, I can with tow stores, so I'll deal :-))

I really wold have liked a head's up email about the spellbook showing up in the store Just so you know, DST told me about the Spellbooks going up a week before they were put in the store. I created a thread asking who still needed to get a Spellbook and PM'ed the people that replied to tell them about it. DST didn't want scalpers finding out and buying up all of the extra Spellbooks (they put up about 150).

Well, I didn't reply so you didn't PM me but I did get to order one from their wedsite on the same day they put it up. I order it with 2nd day shipping and it hasn't arrive, it is still "pending" when it should already have arrive, I send DST an e-mail and got no reply. What is going to happen with my Spellbook?

I understand they didn't want scalpers getting in on it, but they did set a limit of 2 per person - right? depending on how you determine what a "person" is, that would have kept the scalpers at bay... (as in check the name or CC numbers and only allow one order per card.) Like I said, Im bitter... heck, I bought a tivo because I never was home in time to catch any shows... I joined MAC to get access to all the figures, and I joined Radicals (yeah it's free) knowing that no one will commit to what will and will not be listed in the stores, but I thought I'd at least get a courtesy email when things get put up for sale (and y'know, it'd be a good way to boost business as well)

I will check with DST to see if there is a way to send out emails to people with the "Buffy" interest box marked whenever new product is added to the Buffy category. Once DST's new "collector's club type thing" opens I believe this problem would not occur.
