Suncoast has been getting in quite a bit of Star Wars stuff lately so if you might check there or Media Play/Sam Goody if you have one locally. My Suncoast got in more VOTC; they had Stormtroopers, Fetts, R2, Chewie, Vader, and Lando for 12.99 each.
I haven't found much lately. I picked up another 2 VOTC Stormtroopers at Wal-Mart this week but that's about it. Still haven't seen the Imp Scanning Crew Trooper or Cantina Scene 2 yet.

Thanks for the tip. I finally got myself a VOTC Stormtrooper at Sam Goody yesterday.
It's criminal it will never be available outside the VOTC line.

UPS dropped off two boxes today, one was Anyas & Taras from DST and other was the Sandcrawler from SouthernIsland.com. I got it for $48 dlvd. It's a repaint of the vintage R/C one and has 2 Jawas (not OTC ) and a repaint of the Death Star Droid. Cool window packaging on four sides, but the crawler is small. Doubt I'll be using it for a "purchase of the droids" diorama. Also found 2 Scanning Crew Troopers and another VOTC 3PO at Wal-Mart recently, so I now have 2 sets of VOTC.

Awesome deal on that Sandcrawler. Is it supposed to be like $60 or something? I might order from that place to get mine. I just didn't want to pay $60 for it I got the OTC Millennium Falcon at TRU yesterday, along with VOTC Vader, Chewie, Boba Fett, & Stormtrooper, the OTC Scanning Crew guy, and VOTC 12" Boba Fett. All for about $113... I used a "20% off one item" card I got in the mail, and another one that got me a $10 gift card for spending more than $75. I didn't get the free silver Vader though, as they were sold out (grrr ). But considering I got that Falcon for about $33 by using that 20% off card, I'm not complaining! I must say that this version of the Falcon is awesome. The light-up thrusters look awesome, even better in a dark room. Too bad the missile sticks out so far from the front, that sound effect is one of the few actually from the movies. New cockpit that actually stays closed is great, though I still wonder why they don't make use of the space behind and to the left of it. The holo game table sucks though, I hate that it now screws down as I don't want to put the sticker on it now. You can put the game table that came with one of the POTJ Chewies on that post, though it's not snug it fits perfect. Wish I still had my old Falcon and the 1995 Falcon... I'll bet that Chewie's table will fit better on those. I have a question, is there a "good" way to open that 12" Boba Fett? It looks like I'd have to cut the silver & black sticker that wraps around to the side, in order to open him up, and I'd rather not have to. I loved that 12" Jango Fett that this Boba seems to be based on, can't wait to get this Boba out of the box...

Yeah, the Sandcrawler retails for $60, but SI offered pre-orders on them for $40 this summer. I pre-ordered mine back in late June so they may have sold out at that price by now.
Sam's Club has the new OTC Falcon with the crew included (Han, Chewie, Luke, Ben, 3PO, maybe R2) for $60. I might get mine there if they have them on clearance after christmas. I have the vintage one and the '95 release so I'm not in a big hurry to plunk down more money on basically the same mold.
As for the 12" VOTC, you might be able to carefully peel back the OTC decal on both sides, otherwise you'll have to cut it. Hasbro could have just placed a cardboard banner under the plastic rather than this decal on top. This type of packaging is supposed to be collector-friendly anyway.

I checked their site, it's not even listed as out of stock. LOL I guess I missed out on that. Oh well, maybe I'll find one for a relatively good price someday. Not that I have the room for one right now anyways Hehe, I managed to get the 12" Boba Fett out of the package with little sign of removal. I just cut the tape at the top of the box, and unfolded the flaps to slide out the inner packaging. Had to be careful as those flaps are a tight fit. But it worked... just so you know in case you get some to open up Only problem with Fett (like any other 12" toy) is that he has a problem with falling over. I'm just disappointed that he didn't get all the articulation that the Jango Fett had. Or that the jetpack's missle didn't launch, or the thrusters swivelled...

Weee! I found the Post-OTC waves (Naboo/Coruscant) at Wal-Mart tonight. I got all five- Padme, Rabe, Sly Moore, Pablo Jill, and Yarua. Beware- the 2005 price hike is already in effect. These cost $5.88, and I imagine the Episode III figures will cost this much as well. Still looking for the following: Bib Fortuna Gamorrean Guard Slave Leia Both Vaders Scanning Crew Trooper- I need about three of these dudes Jawas Tusken Raider Snowtrooper

I can get some of these, I *think* they're still $4.88 at my Walmart. Plus, I get discount... don't tell anyone though Just let me know if you want me to pick some up and mail them out. The ones I know we have I marked with asterisks. We got in several cases with both Vaders, Slave Leia, Fortuna, and Gamorrean Guard. Only a case or two went out, the rest ended up either in a trailer outside or in the backroom (which is like finding a needle in a haystack either way). Somehow I doubt I'll be seeing those any time soon. I can't believe they're jacking the price, they ought to leave it. They don't sell that well, at least not here. That pisses me off. For $5.88 you can get a LOTR figure, which is bigger, has slightly better detail, and has way more articulation. Stupid Hasbro...

I got the Post - OTC wave too last weekend. I love Amidala's and Sly Moore's sculpted costumes, and good paint jobs. Rabé - worst figure ever! Bleh! And I was so looking forward to a good handmaiden. No one is going to want these things around a Queen.
Spike, that's cool you can see there are more cases of the Gam guards. I need one too. How can you tell there were several cases shipped, but not put on the floor?
I wonder about how well Star Wars sells too. Some intown places near me always sell their stock, while other Wal-Marts I've been too have a glut. I just think they release a lot of figures compared to other lines, and they haven't been moving because the demand, while always there, is not huge. You don't work in the toy dept., do you?

Well... the Vader is gone now, just some Slave Leias and one Fortuna. I found out what's up with the pricing... that new wave (Naboo/Coruscant) had something different on the shipping label, something about SW 2005 instead of the plain "SW Basic Asst." or whatever. I got one of those cases last night in the freight, but the crazy thing is the shipping label is marked $4.77. But they ring up as $5.88. All the other figures are still $4.77, it's just those new ones that were jacked up. But, since the shelf tags still say $4.77 and I didn't know what was up with the pricing, I managed to get Yarua and Amidala for $4.77 instead... ;D The department manager had me take the rest of the figures off the pegs and put them back in the box when I explained to her that something was screwy with the pricing. I didn't tell her I had bought those two though, lol. Edit: Spike, that's cool you can see there are more cases of the Gam guards. I need one too. How can you tell there were several cases shipped, but not put on the floor? ... You don't work in the toy dept., do you? Yep, I do It's one of the few reasons I think I'll stay at Walmart for a while. It's not too bad working there, but if I can't be working at a toy company, I might as well work in the toy department at a store... I'm one of the few people there that knows where almost anything is in that dept., and what people are talking about when they need something for their kid or whatever...

Wal-Mart had freshly stocked pegs of OTC today. I was able to score a Hoth Vader, the cloth-cape Vader, Bib Fortuna, and a couple Gam. Guards. They had plenty to go around so this assortment is still floating around out there.
Found the POTC wave at TRU. I tried to get them for 4.99 since the pegs were marked at that price, but they said it only applied to the SAGA figures. Oh well. I got 2 Rabes, 2 Pablo Jills, 2 Sly Moores, and Yarua. Didn't see Feltipern Trevagg and Myo. Rabe's head sculpt is crap, but Pablo and Yarua are sweet.
Also spotted the Sandcrawler at Suncoast today. Not surprising since they get a lot of Diamond Previews stuff.
12" VOTC are actually shelf-warming around here. Hope to snag a Fett and maybe another Stormtrooper on sale after christmas.

Glad to hear you got those OTC figures. I almost hope that those cases we have in the back aren't put out until after Christmas, so that they'll be marked down and I can get that ESB Vader and maybe a Gamorrean Guard for less. They do that sometimes with a toy line, if there's a new assortment coming up and they just want to get rid of the old stuff. Even if the toys aren't much different. Myo and the other aliens weren't in those POTC(?) cases. (What does POTC stand for?) I know there were only two Yaruas, he was the one I wanted the most so I had to choose the better paint scheme between them. I open my figures, and can't stand googly eyes or globs of drybrushed paint Three Amidalas, I think two Moores... I'm hoping those aliens will be readily available, I hate having only one shot at getting something because of spotty distribution. We never got the R1-G4 figure at my store, I had to get him elsewhere (got two actually). Ah, so the Sandcrawler is at Suncoast? I'll have to look out for it when I get out to the mall today. The mall that's an hour or so away... I might as well make the most of it

Myo and the other aliens weren't in those POTC(?) cases. (What does POTC stand for?) Well, that's good to hear about the aliens - I thought I'd missed them. POTC stands for Post Original Trilogy Collection. These pre-Ep. III figs sport the same overall card style as the OTC, but without the OTC logos. It's going to be confusing since Pirates of the Caribbean figs are also coming out in January. Yep, I spotted one of them, it retails for about $60. Forgot to mention that I also spotted the Naboo 4-Pack at TRU yesterday too. It's got a lot of Episode I army builders in it.

Found the 'new' Vaders, Bib, and a Gam. Guard at Wal-Mart tonight.
And I ordered Slave Leia from BBTS, so now I only need a few figures, and I'm done with OTC and VOTC. (Unless massive amounts of Stormtroopers show up after Christmas....)

Hey Spike, good to know we got a man on the inside here. Actually, ever since I became interested in the new line of Star Wars, I've been wondering how each toy department works, and how distribution at Wal-Mart functions.
I don't think Myo and Co. will be out for another couple of weeks. Let us know what else is shipped with those! So, what are your pegs looking like now?

I'll definitely keep you guys updated on what I see. Right now the pegs are kind of clogged up, though I noticed today that some did sell. Being the Christmas shopping season, I'm hoping these things sell down as all we have right now are a bunch of Madines, Han as AT-ST driver, Leia Bespin, some Dengars, etc. If anything, I'm hoping the OTC assortments hit clearance after Christmas, so when those Vaders/Gamorreans/etc come out of the back room I can snag some for cheap If they do end up on clearance I'll let you guys know, if you want any extras I can grab them.

Scored the POTC Cantina wave today at TRU, $6.99 each Dannik Jerriko, Myo, and Feltipern Trevagg: Also spotted repacks Han, Chewie, Dagobah Yoda, Scout Trooper, Sandtrooper, and Stormtrooper. But at $6.99, Hasbro can stick these repacks up their arse.

$6.99? Damn, I almost forgot that the newer SW figures are going up a dollar. Guess TRU marked them up $2 Congrats on finding them though. I wonder why they don't have the OTC logo on them? I know they're supposed to be part of next year's line... Guess I shouldn't complain, as I can't get tired of seeing that packaging style. It was the best back in the 80s, and it's still the best today. Remember all those cases of Gam. Guards, Vaders, etc. that I had mentioned being in my store? They dug them out and crammed them everywhere. There are so many outs in the department that it's a free-for-all when it comes to stocking. Doesn't matter how much of a mess they make though, as the new modular will be set in January, I think... sometime soon. And when that happens, look out for some stuff hitting clearance automatically as the new stuff comes in. Have you found the OTC Slave-1? I think it's a Target exclusive. I want it, but for $30... they should have thrown in a Han in Carbonite or the VOTC Boba Fett instead for that price. Oh well.

Have you found the OTC Slave-1? I think it's a Target exclusive. I want it, but for $30... they should have thrown in a Han in Carbonite or the VOTC Boba Fett instead for that price. Oh well. Initially, prices for '05 figures were hovering around $6, but in the last couple of weeks the price jumped again to $7. The local K-Mart and TRU both have '05 figures for $7 now. I did see the OTC Slave I but passed on it. The Fett included with that vehicle is the "300th figure" edition; it originally retailed for $10. I guess Hasbro figures it's a $20 vehicle with a $10 figure. They figured wrong.

Wal-Mart had Clone Wars Season III figures. I grabbed General Grievous and battle-damaged Anakin. They also had re-releases Durge, Asajj, Mace, and Obi-Wan. No Clone Troopers. Found these on a shelf along side the pre-school toys. Stores seem to be putting as much product on the floor as possible for Christmas, so you may find Star Wars stuff in unlikely spots. Just do a quick sweep of toys so you don't miss anything.
