I too love Battlestar Galactica. And for once, this is a female that truly is taller than most of her male counterparts. Maybe that's what happened with Fred/Dawn/Cordy/Glory RD - they were practice sculpting for Six's Amazon stature! LOL! :-)

www.actionfigureinsider.com has a pretty cool DST interview. I think the only "new" news was that they have planned out 4 waves already, which sounds pretty dark cool if we're getting 4 figures per wave (potentially 16 characters, though they waves may be padded with "variants" instead of unique characters). Also great news from the interview is that the same team behind the SG-1 figures is sculpting the BSG figures. I haven't purchased any of the SG-1 figures, but was VERY tempted to do so when I saw each series in store (even though not a watcher of the show). Only a few more days to go until Toy Fair when hopefully the entire first series should be revealed. Cheers, Haeph.

So, series 1 is going to be: Six, Apollo, Chief, and Hot Dog, right?

I can't believe Hot Dog is in the first line of figures. He's really not that big a character.

Yeah I know, that Hot Dod head swap really is the best news because it means they're going to make everyone, even characters like Cally who would have been overlooked if it was some other company.

I am glad you mentioned that; I have the same opinion but I didn't want to influence this board's verdict (since I've said the same on a couple other boards already).
Number Six's face just isn't Number Six's face. They need a different sculptor to try again, because that isn't Tricia Helfer's face. The body proportions are great, and the hair is good, but the face isn't her.

Kinda odd.
Hot Dog? Chief in green jump-suit?
Definitely grabbing Apollo and Six (though agree, she has more of a "generic pretty" face sculpt), but will probably pass on Hot Dog and will have to see how Chief is released for international customers, but would be willing to wait for an orange-suit version in the "regular" line.
Hoping the figures shown are just prototypes and they haven't radically reduced the articulation.
Look pretty good and Hot Dog's inclusion makes me hopeful that we'll eventually see a Number 3.
Cheers, Haeph.

I just read somewhere that Hot Dog comes in dress blues and Helo and Sam Anders are also a part of series 1. Anyone have any info?

I haven't found anything new/more.
I thought Hot Dog was a new head on Flight Suit Apollo body?
And Anders and Helo as well?
Will have to continue scouring news sources for more info.
Cheers, Haeph.

I just ordered the Stargate action figures of the Farscape actors who appeared in season 9 of Stargate SG-1. I am hoping that their heads will be similar enough in design and scale to the upcoming Galactica figures that I'll be able to make Crichton and Aeryn into honorary Galactica crew members.

I guess that means no Helo and Anders at least in series 1. Oh,well... I was happy for a night anyway.

All too confusing. As great as Toy Fair is, I wish the companies would release accompanying press releases with details or something.
I still don't understand what is going on with the Buffy line and why no new "regular" or "deluxe" figures were shown. And same with respect to BSG.
So, it looks like Apollo (flight suit), Six (red dress), Chief (not sure what the "green" gear is) and Hot Dog (possibly flight suit or dress blues) seem somewhat certain. With Anders and Helo as the unlikely inclusions.
I'll be grabbing Apollo and Six (unless the articulation on the figures shown is final, in which case I won't be grabbing either) and I'll wait for a Chief in flight deck orange jump-suit.
Cannot wait for more news though, particularly some confirmation.
Cheers, Haeph.

This news is especially cool since last June, the guys at the DST booth told me that someone else had gotten the BSG license, and they were bummed about that.
I have to admit when I first saw Apollo, I thought it was Helo - the nose is a bit pronounced. But the figures definitely have promise.
Definitely agree with the poster who suggested simply sending DST their paycheck - with Buffy/Angel, the Stargates (SG-1 and Atlantis) and now this line, I'm going to be putting a lot of money in DST's pockets. Hmm, wonder if they sell stock? :>

After watching last nights episode, I can't help but wonder if the Hot Dog figure will come with STD. ;D
