Having won some spare BSG figures from ActionFigureTimes, I went ahead and did a head-swap of the original Starbuck head onto the Boomer-in-turned-down-Flightsuit body, and secondarily as part of that process, Boomer-long-hair onto the Starbuck-Flightsuit body.
I'll post pics when I get some good ones.
In short, Starbuck looks anorexic -- the thin arms of Boomer just do not look right for a beefy character like Kara. And Boomer in flightsuit looks kind of evil, perhaps because the face looks nothing like Grace Park, so it is basically just an unfamiliar Asian pilot wearing a bit too much makeup.
So, not the best head-swaps in the world. The long hair on Boomer's head interferes with the Starbuck flightsuit (you can't turn her head much at all). And of course the patch should be a Raptor patch not a Viper patch.
I might consider trying a long-hair Starbuck (from the Leoben and Starbuck 2-pack) head onto Boomer's Dress Blues uniform (even though the command stripe should be red for Starbuck, not blue). Not sure yet. Maybe. Has anyone done this one?

I know no sites have reviewed the Evolution of the Cylon models, nor has anyone evidently bought them and blogged about them, so I wrote to one of the designers for more info -- specifically, about their size. I got a reply today:
"the tallest figure is about 7.5" tall, and they go down from there. The boxes are about 9" tall."
The tallest figure is the modern Cylon. Number Six is almost as tall, so she's about 7" tall -- which means that she might blend in pretty well with the real action figures (which are 7"). Note that you'd have to carefully slice through the glue holding Six to the stand, and then you'd have to use putty to keep her upright.... And note that you cannot lower her arm since she has no joints. But she's arguably a better form than the Red Dress Six action figure from DST. Granted, neither look much like Tricia, and both forgot about her wrist-band.
If I had more $, I think I'd pick this up since it is on sale for only $13 plus $7 shipping.

Why are her heels black? Were they ever black on the show?
That touch alone looks terrible. The rest of the statue is pretty nice, though.
