Tonight I'm looking at the deluxe Mach 5 with a Speed Racer figure. These are in the 3 1/2" scale, so they're a bit smaller than the Star Wars, Narnia, Indy, etc. figures. And they aren't of that level of quality, either. You can find all the reviews at the usual: www.mwctoys.comThanks for reading, and a happy Easter to all that are celebrating! BTW, keep checking back to this thread over time, as I'll continue to post new reviews here. Michael MWC

The Iron Man movie figures from Hasbro started hitting last week, with a bundle of 6" figures in the first series. I snagged the two I liked best on the peg: the Mark 02 Iron Man and the Iron Monger. While the line is far from perfect, it's a huge improvement over many of the recent 5" superhero lines, including Spider-man 3. I particularly like the Mark 02, but I may have to go back and pick up the Mark 03 just to have the more traditional color scheme as well. On Tuesday night, I reviewed a couple 6" Iron Man movie figures...and I liked them quite a bit. Tonight, I'm looking at the 12" Repulsor Iron Man 12" figure, and I'm not nearly as happy. The sculpt and articulation are weak, but if you're looking for cool lights and sounds for a reasonable price, he's not bad, but he's not much for display. I've been having internet issues this week, but posted my reviews on Monday and today. Better late than never! I always love it when a new company comes along with something different, and that's what I'm looking at tonight. The company is called Kridana, sanskrit for toy or plaything, and they are producing action figures based on the epic stories of India. The first two are Rama and Hanuman, from the epic tale of Ramayana. I really like these figures, although I have the usual nits to pick. Still, for a first attempt from a new company, they really are pretty nicely done. And if I completely screw up anything related to the story or the characters, please excuse my limited Hindu knowledge in advance! And the second review is the new NECA Harry Potter figures from OOTP - check them all out at the usual: www.mwctoys.comMichael MWC

Great review Michael! I would have really liked to see Malfoy with out his robes and did you know that the mask comes off his alternate head giving you a fully sculpted and painted Malfoy face under it?

Tonight's review is a quickie, but a goodie, at least if you're a fan of Lenore. I have up my look at the latest PVC set based on the Roman Dirge comic of the same name, and it's pretty snazzy. For a little dead girl, at least. My connectivity is still hit or miss, but I should be back to normal by the weekend. If you've been waiting on an email response from me, please be patient, and if you dont' hear from me by early next week, assume I managed to lose your email and send along another. Thanks! Well, it's a late night tonight, but it looks like all is back to normal. Tuesday's review should go up at the much earlier usual time, although because of the Internet issues this last week, I'm way behind on getting things prepped. Tonight's review covers the latest Harry Potter mini-bust from Gentle Giant - Nymphadora Tonks! Unfortunately, she follows in the foot steps of Cho Chang and Luna Lovegood. And these are not good footsteps to be following. There's also a guest review from J. Himebaugh, covering two of the DC Direct series 1 Wonder Woman figures, Circe and Agent Diana Prince. In the last week or so, I’ve reviewed quite a few ladies – Lenore, Tonks, Bellatrix…but none quite like Betty. She’s Peril Unlimited’s latest zombie, a sweet young cheerleader taken before her time, only to rise again in a truly disgusting undead appearance. Like Ash, Peril’s first zombie, she comes in both a hand distressed ‘bloody’ version (that I’m reviewing), and a clean version that you can gore up however you’d like. And at a price point below $40 for the bloody, and only $30 for the regular, she can’t be beat. If you’re a big fan of sixth scale zombies, you should really give her a close look. Thats a funky Zombie!
I really like the first one he created too.
Shame it is a year in between projects. But I applaude the fellow for bringing such cool & unique quality to each figure he creates.

The latest release in the long running Sideshow Star Wars line is Commander Praji! Who? Yep, that's what I said too. But he's an Imperial Commander, and while he might not be the perfect Praji figure, he's a damn good looking Imperial Officer. You can find all the reviews at the usual: www.mwctoys.comI also have a question for those of you using IE to view the homepage - do you see all 12 Sponsor graphics? There should be 6 running down each side. If you're not seeing them, please drop me a note - thanks! Thanks for reading, and have a terrific weekend! Michael MWC

With the New York Comic Con coming up this next weekend, I have three of my four reviews this week on exclusives you can pick up at the show. Tonight, it's Mezco's very cool pseudo designer vinyl version of Jason, in all his 9" glory. While I'm not normally a fan of the 'stylized' figures, this one really works for me. And look for a review of Mezco's NYCC exclusive Biggie on Tuesday at QSE, along with a Thursday night review of the AFX exclusive Civil War minimiates. And enjoy the show this weekend! You can find all the links at the usual: www.mwctoys.comThanks for reading, Michael MWC

Tonight, there's a ton of reviews for your reading pleasure. Let's start with my review of another Mezco product, Freddy from the Cinema of Fear series 2. I'm quite pleased with this version, and I can see why folks have been raving about the CoF line. I may have to snag Jason as well know, considering how well Freddy turned out. The guest review is from Jeff Parker, and he's covering the Hot Toys Cosbaby Alien Vs Predator figures. These guys are just so damn cute...you have to check them out. I'm in the U.K. this week on business, and I happened to have dinner with Jeff just this evening, so the timing of the guest review seemed perfect! I also have my review up of another NYCC exclusive, the Notorious B.I.G. figure from Mezco. That review is over at QSE, but you can find the link at the usual: www.mwctoys.comThanks for reading! It's rare that you get something really cool for not too much cash, but the new phaser and communicator from DST, based on the Original Series, are exactly that. With a ton of cool features and a very reasonable price point, these guys can be great toys, great Cosplay accessories, or even home theater decorations. It's only April, but NECA has just released what could be the best line of the year - their comic based Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Yes, they are that good in just about every category. I'm reviewing the boxed set tonight, but the single carded figures have even more accessories. If you're a fan of the comic...even if you're just a fan of the movies and cartoons, I highly recommend checking these out. You can find my review at the usual: www.mwctoys.comThanks for reading! Thanks for the Review Michael! I had the biggest collection of TMNT figures when I was a kid! I would love to collect this line...If only my wife wouldn't kill me for starting a new line...

When I was a kid I had the hugest collection of TMNT stuff. I don't think I'll get this set thought, but have you seen the B&W sketch figures? They are amazing!
