This may be totally inappropriate to do, but if anyone else is trying to catch-up on the old Dark Horse Comics of Buffy and Angel, I have a 2-cd set with all of them on it until Tales of Vampires. Generally I include it free as a bonus with anyone that orders anything from my selling post (mostly for legal reasons.) I've actually owned everything that is on these cds in official form, so these are pretty much just legal back-ups for me. And if you want them all you are buying is a $5 Angel figure or whatever it is you want. Its been great for me to be able to reread and catch those few stray issues in a wicked convenient form. At SDCC I stood in front of the new Buffy #1 comic for like, ten minutes wishing that the rumours of the first issue being available there were true.... Biggest letdown of SDCC (besides not knowing Joss was there... I really would have liked to get his auto.... and not getting DB's auto..., but besides that it was a really big dissappoingment....)

I think she looks more like a season 2 Buffy. Becomming?

She looks like someone who looks like Buffy. Fine with me; I'm not a total stickler for realism, as long as the different stylistic takes sit well with me. I do hope the coloring is more like in recent comic books, rather than that digitial look.
Someone's got to make it so she's really giving us the finger!

You could try ordering them online from Forbidden Planet, or some of the individual UK's comic retailers. That's where I've got mine from.

I'm really happy with the way she looks. I think Jeanty will do a fine job with the series.
Did anyone read the latest article. A good bit of the info is wrong... 7 seasons of Buffy on the WB and UPN spin-off Angel...??

Georges Jeanty said this in a new interview "THE PULSE: I'm always up for that, but how about a few teasers for the Buffy fans in the house? JEANTRY: Well, Joss Whedon came to Dark Hose about doing more Buffy books, but this time he figured he wanted to do what will become the eighth season of Buffy in comic form! To that end there will be about 20 or so books furthering the adventure of Buffy Ann Summers after her last television episode a few years back. There have been some hints to what happens to everyone's favorite Vampire Slayer after the explosion (or was it an implosion?) of Sunnydale, but I can tell you readers are not ready for what they're gonna get! This will be the same Buffy in tone. Joss will be writing the first four issues thus far, but with an unlimited budget for effects and scenery. So all you Scooby fans take note; this is the series as it might have appeared on the big screen with a. Buffy should hit stands later this year. Updates can be found on Dark Horse's site or my own www.kabalounge.com I hope all of you American Way readers come and give that book a try." www.comicon.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=36;t=005525And Joss said this on Whedonesque: "I'm pounding away on X-men #18 and Buffy #2 and having a blast. Like a "close the blast doors" sized blast, especialy after I saw my first page of Georges Jeanty's Buffy art. That cute little sketch on his website? No, no, silly british man. The real thing is SO deeply cherry. It makes the fun I'm having revisiting these characters increase tenfold."

Now I have a question for all you comic people.
Will thse be those paper back covers, or those harder covers. I got a Comic during a swap and its a few comics put together (I think) and it has a harder cover and the pages seem to be printed on higher quality paper.
Can someone tell me the difference? Reasons?

Generally the paper issues come out monthly at $4-ish, and are followed by a trade paperback or hard cover collected edition featuring complete story arcs or blocks of story arcs (mini-series normally at 3-6 issues, maxi-series at 12-ish)

So do people recommend to buy as the issues come out, or to wait for the hard covers? Cause I really like the hard covers... but I don't think I can wait

They are usually just soft back card type covers.

Although the only Buffy-related series that was put into a REAL hardcover was Fray (there were plenty of other trade paperbacks), I have a feeling that Season 8 of Buffy will be coming at us in the hardcover form somewhere down the road. If it does, it may have an incentive like signed and numbered by Joss and Georges like the Fray hardcover was signed and numbered by Joss and Karl Moline. The Fray hardcover came like a Director's Cut which also included character development sketches for the main characters in Fray.

As a comic enthusiast, that would suh-weet...
I get the individual issues, and if I like something well enough, I'll get the collector's graphic novel. It all depends on my likes and dislikes....just like I won't buy the Batman graphic novels b/c I like having all the issues individually...but I just bought Angel: Old Friends in graphic novel form. I like to wait for certain things (well, my budget makes me wait more like...) but I still pick up copies of Fallen Angel, the Goon, and Robin on an individual basis.

Why hasn't Darkhorse released any info on the upcoming comic? I can't find a single thing on their site.

Neither can I.
Buy both! (individual issues and TPB)
