He looks great, although a little too buff in the chest and arms for Oz.
Nice facial likeness and cool scars. I look forward to seeing his base and accessories.

Monkey-Pants OzI've finally finished my Oz figure for the challenge. From the end of "What's My Line". He's only a fraction taller than the MAC Oz but is slimmer. I also altered his face and hair to get a better likeness. For more information, see: msbig.sashapowell.co.uk/mbframenew.htm

Ahh, nothing like me threatening to inflict one of my figures on a challenge to spur people to action. And two Ozes (Ozzes?) with Spike legs. Aly - yes, he does look suitably buff, perhaps a bit too tall though. The scratching works very well, though, and the facial likeness looks suitably grim. Sasha - the trimmed-down legs fit well, and the shirt's another impressive display of exacting painting over a good sculpt. Also, animal crackers. I think he had a bit of a stubble goatee in that scene, though, didn't he? And could we get a closeup on the Catherine Madison figurine, since you mentioned you'd painted in her eyes?

Oh I love the animal crackers...te hee. This was a good choice. Its hard to find a good one since Oz where's so many generic outfits...But the sling and "mocking monkey pants" is defintely a good moment. You shoud make a willow to match!

He did have a mustache stubble, but not beard. Here's a close-up so you can see his face more clearly: The eyes on Catherine were so tiny, I just did brown dots with a pen. They don't even show on the photo, they're so small.

Alyrenne and Ms.Big! Thes Oz customs are great! It is really fun seeing more of Oz as he is so under represented in figure form (both regular and customs)! The scratch marks really make your custom, Aly. Also, his likeness is much improved with your FANTASTIC paint job! You truely are the face painting master! Mis.Big, you have chosen my favorite Oz moment ever! Great work on the likeness and pain detailing. I love the cast too!
Are we allowed to do Willow from an Oz-centric scene?

Love both of these! Aly, the paint job is excellent and I love the facial likeness (and the fact that he has a Veruca to boot!). Sasha, the detail on yours is great and really fits the moment of the episode extremely well.

Aly, shirtless Oz Gotta love that, lol. Great paint job and scratches. Sasha, I absolutely love this Oz! Definitely one of my favorite Oz moments His likeness is spot on! I love how you did his eyes. Also gotta love the sling and animal crackers ;D I'm really glad I commissioned you for him, thank you so much! I'll definitely commission you for the Willow sometime to go with him. I'm working on one of my Oz's right now. He should be finished in a day or two. I don't think I'll be doing a Veruca though, just Oz's. -Jess

Are we allowed to do Willow from an Oz-centric scene? You're only allowed to put Willow in this thread, if you do Oz to go with her as a pair and post them together.

Phases-Werewolf Oz My nephew, Harry, is mad for werewolves, so I made him a Wolfy Oz. I used an X-Files alien and the head of one of Wolverine's wolf pack. I made the arms shorter, then sculpted the werewolf shape over the alien body. I couldn't see the werewolf very clearly on the DVD, so I went for as much of a canine shape as possible but still one that an actor could wear as a wolf suit. I attached the wolf head, then added height to the nose and forehead, plus lots more straggly fur, a mane and a tail. I liked the incongruity of a werewolf in a domestic setting, rather than out of doors, so I repainted Joyce's bedroom set as Oz's house. He rocks - great use of a base figure and head, nice matted fur sculpting on top. Could we get a size comparison with human Oz?

They are of a similar height but the werewolf is chunkier. Oz is 5 3/4 inches tall, the werewolf 6 inches (to top of head).
I reckoned the werewolf would bulk out and grow a bit into the size of a BTVS stunt double.

I really love that werewolf. There's a great texture to the fur.
I think they should have stayed with that style for Oz. I never liked the hairy-guy-scampering-about look.

He looked to be near the same height as Angel, so yes, taller is better. (It always amused me that Giles referred to him as "a large werewolf" when discussing tranquilliser doses and nobody questioned him. Surely he'd make a fairly short werewolf... )

That looks great! I love the use of the alien body. I have tons of those lying around and have been trying to figure out how to do an all wolfy oz! Maybe i will try this too!
Great custom!

Wow! Great job again Sasha! Very well done. Also a bit creepy looking, but in a good way The pose of the alien figure works really well for this. I was hoping that someone would try a full on wolfy Oz You always have such amazing work! -Jess

Okay, I finally had time to work on my Oz. He's from the episode "The Harsh Light Of Day" the part where he saves Willow from Harmony. I have sculpted his shirt, jacket, and made his forehead higher. I still need to sculpt his hair and add onto his legs. Recipe: Oz head, Oz torso & arms, and Grave Spike legs (thanks for the idea Sasha). His base is from a Fantastic 4 Human Torch figure. I plan on taking the fire hydrant off so I can add the post thing that Oz uses to pull Harmony off of Willow. Willow Saving Oz In Progress: I'm going to finish sculpting him later today (it's early morning now), and hopefully I'll be able to paint him today as well. Comments would be appreciated -Jess
