Here is one last in-progress shot before I cook and paint her. I sculpted the details onto her clothing. They are hard to se ein this photo though because of the monochrome white clay. I should paint her by tomorrow night! As for facial likeness, I am planing on making her paler with dark eye makeup and really glossy lips. Here is the screen cap I am basing her on.

Great choice of parts for Veruca. The face shape will work very well, the hair is excellent. It doesn't matter that the head is in a little larger scale than the body, because the actress has that lollipop look.

buffyfanone - what a great likeness of veruca using a deana face - looking forward to seeing her complete!
becky - i loved oz in this episode as 'god' simple repaint but very effective, i dont think anyone has done a 'god' oz before
something blue - have you decided whether to paint the goatee or sculpt? looking forward to seeing him complete

Okay..Here is "Seductive Rehearsal Veruca" from "Wild at Heart". I used a drusilla head on a Piper torso with Chosen Buffy legs. I decided to sculpt the tank a little longer...otherwise she would have kept all of the original articulation save for the neck. I gave her Lorne's base and Oz's amp to use as the Bronze Stage. Now on ebay: cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=130007818144FYI...lorne's mic is way too tall for veruca...but if you put it where the lights go then you are okay. I imagine it can be shortened by pulling it out from the base, cutting it at the bottom and then sticking it back in. I tried to pull the mic out but its in there pretty good. I imagine boiling water would do the trick...but my gimpyfoot was keeping me lazy.

She looks awesome Ally! You are giving me a run fo rmy money! Your paint job is spectacular and the likeness is really there. I would have never thought of a Dru head but it definately works!
I am glad that we didn't use the same outfit for Veruca. I am also glad for your tip about the microphone!

Finally finished! I may still add a grey wash to her shirt but for now, she is done.

alyrenee - the dru head is a great choice too for veruca. the piper torso looks good with the buffy legs (i would have thought the torso might have been too heavy for them - but it looks really really good). great figure!
buffyfanone - nice to see her done. i think she would look good with a wash on her top as the arms of the top are see thru.

Buffyfanone, I really love your hair sculpt and her facial likeness is spot on. Great job!

I love seeing two versions of the same character...both of these really work quite well. Buffyfanone- you've really got her down in the face and hair! The likeness is amazing and she's looking seductive! Aly, I love your interpretation as well. The base is great and the outfit looks wonderful, but the eyes on the figure are haunting...they give the figure life. Excellent!

I'm adding a count to the title of this thread, whenever a completed custom is added to the Gallery in the first post. There are currently 3.
I hope this will remind people to check out the thread and comment on any new work.

Alyrenee - Veruca
This is exquisite work. It's a beautiful figure. Gorgeous detail on the hair, jewellery and jeans.
I find the body to be too tall and elegant for Veruca, who likes her burgers and is more grungy.
Likeness-wise. I think the Dru head works quite well. The eyes are fantastic... haunting!
Buffyfanone - Veruca
I think this recipe is excellent. Great choice of head and good body shape.
I don't know whether its the extreme light in the photo, but the paint job doesn't look quite up to your usual standard.
Altogether, a very convincing Veruca, though.

Hmm. This is a pretty restricted remit (it covers more characters than the Beautiful Buffy challenge, but Buffy was in about 100 more episodes and had a figure available on the pegs) but I feel bad for poor ol' Oz. Maybe I should open up my not-quite-mint card and do something with him.
Of course, it won't be up there with the butt-kicking Veruca figures above, but I think he might be fun if I get time this week.

Both of those Verucas are great Very well done! Poor poor Oz Only 3 customs (and only 1 of them is Oz) and only about a week left of this thread. I plan on at least making one Oz and one Veruca for this yet. But I may be able to make two Oz's (hopefully). I would have already made one or two but I have been bogged down with commissions this month. Let's Oz it up a bit more -Jess
