*I hope this is the right section to post this in* I was just at www.cornerstorecomics.com/ and on the front page they have a life sized "Smile Time" Angel puppet listed for pre-order (Dec '08). Is this a new product!? Or some old (cancelled) one that I had just never heard of?  |

Cant they release a puppet angel that actually looks like Puppet Angel. Its not hard is it? they must have the original....Jeeze.

Oh yuck, that thing looks hideous! I don't see it listed on Diamond's website so I wonder what the scoop is. If this is something they really plan on releasing, I think it's a huge mistake, especially with that pricetag.

the fact that the first 3 one, that looked like shit by the way!, is not a good reason too release an even more shit-y one!! seriously what IS wrong at DST?? i mean this is a puppet, that is supposed too look like an other puppet, ho can they get that wrong...

diamondselecttoys.com/It's on the DST's site now too .... very new ... very real ... very ugly! Lets see if they roll out 3 variants and a spike one too.. Watch, the Judge statue will get canned but THIS will make it into production!

i dont understand. i mean, who is working at DST?
these puppets are fugly. is it to much to ask for an accurate looking puppet replica. its not hard is it. the creator of the original must have copies from which to work from.
hell, i would prefer a statue of the puppet to a real puppet, especially if it had the likeness.
i think people at DST need to take a hard look at the items they are releasing and the items they are cancelling or not even considering.
very disapointed in this DST!

Wow, those comparison shots make it look even worse. He's just too stretched and lanky. He reminds me a lot of something you'd see on Sesame Street.

You know, the sad thing is it's actually a good idea ...a 1:1 replica of the Angel puppet with articulation.
IF it was done right, it would be a very awesome AND since it sounds like it might be almost made to order, the fans that want it and were willing to pay for it wouldn't have to worry as much about it being cancelled BUT ... it doesn't even come close to being a replica ..
Maybe DST is like your friend that gets a bad haircut, but they don't know it's bad and think it's the da bomb!
