I'm probably not going to get any of these. Tough Love Willow and (oddly enough) Kennedy are tempting but I've actually started to dislike Buffy a little. I still love Angel though and I was really hoping the next deluxe line would soon be announced.

Surprise surprise.
We finally get a decent figure, and they get delayed...again. I know that a release date can't be exact, but they can at least try. Like others are saying, they re-used ALOT of parts. I don't see how they can keep getting pushed back. I don't know why I'm ranting...with the way DST runs things, I kinda already figured they would be pushed back. Hmm I wonder if that means we won't be getting the Judge wave till December?!

Thats it. I give up with these DST Muppet's. My collecting days are over. Its a shame. They really don't seem to care about their custom base. They mess us about with release dates and VERY poor quality figures. So it looks like only REALLY special custom figures for me now, although I do have a PF Exclusive Spike on order which should be here soon. I shall just have to be content with collecting the Neon Genesis Evangelion figures. Better quality, cheaper & more frequent. Even if I do have to order direct from Japan.

Maybe they're delaying the line until the variants are ready? We saw the basic figures (Chosen Willow x2, Kendra, Kennedy) in DST's store, elsewhere too (I think). But nothing about the Vampire, Tough Love, or Halloween Willows. I want those last three way more than I want the basic figures, so I hope they're just being delayed until all the figures are ready in one shot...

If that's the reason then they would bankrupt every one here having 13 figures (4 basic + 3 variant + 6 Judge wave) out in the same month. Splitting the release would secure better sales for each wave.

Colour me surprised... Not! And some folks complained about MAC delays. Like Lior, decreased quality, delays, crappy distributors (yes, TST's BCC I am talking to you) makes a "fun" pastime too stressful. I think it's time for a parting of the ways from DST. Most sad in a way. And as pointed out, with the Judge wave, DLX, PF Spike and PF Alternate Buffy some of us are going to be bankrupt and that's just if you collect Buffy. Those brave souls of you that collect other figures too, are you re-mortgaging your homes? ;D

I bet the delay has to do with DST trying to solicit more orders. I mean let's face it, the basic assortment is pretty weak, and when retailers are already placing smaller orders due to poor sales (with the exception of the Faith/Giles wave) the waves need all the help it can get.
I wonder if the Willow/Kennedy wave has a smaller production run along the lines of the Faith/Giles wave - I don't recall them saying anything about cutting back on the deluxe lines production numbers. It would make sense, since the deluxe Angel/Spikes are still kicking around and for dirt cheap.

Those brave souls of you that collect other figures too, are you re-mortgaging your homes? ;D I am But it's not to support my collecting...it's to consoidate my dept before little Owen get's here...so you could kind of say that it's to support my collecting because some of my dept is due to my collection. I'm also hoping to pick up a few of the Harry Potter busts that I missed after the re-finance goes though...if my wife will let me

Colour me surprised... Not! And some folks complained about MAC delays. Are you insane? MAC delays were MUCH longer. It will take another year at least for deluxe Willow to be delayed as long as MAC...whose figures were almost always at least a year late. They would announce a line and we'd have to wait about 6 months just to see a picture of an armless torso with a ball for a head. And then we'd get another picture every couple of months and the figures would come out about 2 years after being announced and 1 year after the initial given release date.

And I also was looking forward to hearing what the next wave was going to be. I'm really hoping it's an Angel line.

Very dissappointing about the delay but at this point, I'm happy that they are not cancelled. I'm hping for new deluxe figure announcements for Comic con three weeks from now but its best to keep expectations low. I would think that DST will try to keep this line going because of heavy re-use of molds/minimal tooling for new characters.

This is disapointing news but really, as long as they are releaced, I am happy!
I am hoping the next wave of dlx figures has atleast one Buffy in it. I think that would really help sales. I don't know how licensing works but it would be cool if they could do an Angel wave with a Buffy from one of the cross over episodes. We already have a basic DLX Angel so any of the cross over episode buffys would work!

I often feel like picking some of your comments to death and don't, so back off and leave me alone. Hey Jinxieman, best of luck with the little bundle of joy buddy! As far as the collecting goes, I understand completely... Luckily, I don't have a house to re-mortgage I have just filled up every spare nook and cranny of my folk's house! Best way to do it!

I'm actually happy about the delay. Now, they're coming out one day before my birthday so I won't have to spend any money.

I shouldn't be surprised, given DST's history with delays, but since they already delayed from May, it's pretty bad that they couldn't get them out in time for Comic Con. That was the only reason I was planning to go to SDCC, but I'll just stay home now.
I really hope the face sculpts turn out well on these. I loved the prototypes, but the recent pics look less good.
This line is the only Buffy stuff I am excited to get, besides the Essence of Buffy statue.

Delayed?! Argh! I had finally broken down and preordered a bunch of figures including these (I had taken to just buying figures when they're released), and pretty much the minute my credit card is charged, here come the delays. Now I remember all too clearly why I had quit doing preorders. I hate having money out there for a product that's delayed, might be changed or even canceled.
If DST is concerned that they're not getting enough preorders for their products, then they have to absolutely stop being late on releasing things. Who's going to pay in advance for something that might be released someday, but won't be released when promised? Well, apparently me in a temporary moment of stupidity, but I have to think a lot more people would be comfortable preordering if DST were more reliable and timely. I'll likely be buying the next set of deluxe figures after Willow et al once they're released, but you can bet I won't be preordering and paying in advance for them.

Order from a site that doesnt charge until the items are shipped. And I'm almost positive these figures wont be canceled.

I'm sure they are too far along in production to be canceled now. It would be a huge loss to DST if these never hit stores.
