I was watching G4 yesterday and heard about the "Free Paris" online petition. Kevin from AOTS is starting another online petition to "Keep Paris in Jail...Forever". I am sure that it is just a joke that in no way should alter the course of her sentencing or maybe it is just to point out how pointless online petitions are, but either way, I will be interested to see just how many people he gets to sign the thing. Paris is just one of those people that others love to love or hate, like it or not.

This is a prime time for the state of California to show that celebrities are people and subject to the same consequence as anyone else. If they let her off, it will set precedent for a lot of future DUI cases just like all judicial decisions do. It basicaly comes down to "well you let her off for the same offense blah blah blah". There's no ifs, ands, or buts, Paris knew her liscense was suspended. This whole "my manager misinformed me" thing is her playing up her stupid side. She has been able to make a lot of money for herself (aside from daddy's money) so she can't be a complete bimbo. She does have common sense that I'm sure the media doesn't cover much She broke the law and has to pay the consequence for it just like anyone else would. Just because she has money doesn't mean she's special.

Yeah, she's scared. But what about people who go to jail for manslaughter from drunk driving? They didn't mean to, they're scared, they don't want to go to jail, but they still have to. I have nothing crossed for her because she deserves no sympathy.

I talked about the "sympathy" thing, not the jail. Thanks.

I talked about the "sympathy" thing, not the jail. Thanks. If you're concerned about her feeings, you should be hoping she doesn't have a rough time in jail; not that she gets away with breaking the law.

They keep saying she's not going to be in for the full 45 days anyway, she'll be fine.
This is on a seperate note and I don't mean to judge someone I don't know but I ran into her at a restaurant in LA once and casino in Vegas and both times she was rather rude to the servers and guests around her. No one was asking for an autograph or anything but she was getting mad at everyone near her. Maybe she was just having a bad day or whatever but it was interesting to watch.

well, im sorry, alot of people look broken up about going to prison, but it doesnt mean they shouldnt go. they have to do the time for their crime. in the newspaper today, they printed a photo of her cell, and i gotta say, it was nasty. but what does she expect, she isnt above the law! Wayne

A few news sources indicate that she will most likely just serve 21 days since this is her first time in jail and she could get out sooner with good behavior. It's also a possibility that she gets out even sooner due to over crowded cells in the jail.

Luckily it's up to me what I can hoping for. Indeed it is. I hope she has a traumatic time. It's jail, you're supposed to suffer. Maybe she'll come out a better person.

Of course she feels bad about going to prison, if prison was a place people actually wanted to go it wouldn't be a punishment. She needs to be treated like any other person who violates the law, she shouldn't be given special treatment because she's a celebrity. I think prison will actually have some good influence on her, maybe it'll actually bring her down to earth and realize she's not invincible.
BA1, not to start a fight or anything, but would you still feel sympathy for her if she had happened to kill someone while driving drunk? I don't feel sympathy for her, I feel sympathy for the people driving on the roads while she (and others) are out driving drunk.

And no, of course I would not. She just drive and drunk, like a lot people does. Even a lot of people I know. So it doesn't seem like SUCH a bad crime to me. I know about the risks, and whatever can happen..sure. I just started freakin out when people started insulting her. Yeah, shes done a lot of stupid things. Tought I really like her, and my point is, I don't think it's fair to make her bad to people that actually like her.PERSONALY if I wouldn't like someone I wouldn't even post in that thread, if someone would ask me too I would just post about the mayor subject WITHOUT insulting the person/series .. whatever, because of respect there are people in wich may like it/her/him. That has nothing to do that I want everybody to agree with me, it's just a question of respect to other people
