Hadley my girl....more questions.... LOVING YOUR HOTSEAT, Very interesting to read!! You are too wonderful Val! Thank you for all your questions this past week. It's number 5 or 6 on my Netflix list - I want to finish "In Cold Blood" this weekend, I'm currently trying to finish a novel/memoir called "Smashed" about a women's abuse of alcohol.
Favorite new movie this year?
That I want to see, V for Vendetta, that is coming out, Southland Tales. Plus, Saw III, and I know it'll give me nightmares but I just keep going back.
Last movie you saw at the theatre?
Scary Movie 4, just last Saturday night. Parts were funny, parts were absurd. I really need to see "The Village" that was the only movie I hadn't seen. I really really liked their use of sets.
What did you have for Dinner last night?
Bread buns with ketchup and mustard, cheese potatoes, and a cupcake. It was an Easter dinner with my dad's side of the family.
Favorite true crime movie? True Crime Novel?
I'd count any of those Morgan Freeman forensic-ky movies, but if I can count "CopyCat," it's my favorite. If I can count MHC for True Crime, "Loves Music, Loves to dance" and "A cry in the night" are my favorites.
Are you a fan of musicals? If so name your faves?
I love musicals! The only one I truly can't stand is "Oklahoma!" -- it's just too annoying. I love Wicked, Rent, Footloose, Grease, Little Ship of Horrors, Songs from a New World, The Lion King, Anything Goes, Brigadoon, Singin in the Rain, Moulin Rouge, West Side Story, Once upon a Mattress, Aida, King and I... and so many more...
Do you like buffy or charmed better?
Buffy the most because the characters are so much more relatable. The Charmed girls are gorgeous, but sometimes larger than life. Many people can see themselves as a Buffy, a Giles, an Anya, or a Xander, to name a few. I love the fact that Buffy is relatable.
Why do you think charmed was on the air longer than buffy?
I think it staying on the same network helped, plus the WB was willing to sacrifice other characters for the main 3 girls, something Buffy wasn't as keen on doing. I enjoy Buffy as more an ensemble then a main girl with the only plot.
Why dont you make customs?
Because I'm the worst sculptor ever!! I can't use sculpey worth a darn, and I don't have the time and patience for great paint jobs. I paint when I can, but I enjoy purchasing and commissioning more.
What new wave or figure are you MOST excited about thats coming out next?
Those Cordelias. I want them all. After that, the Tara bust, which will be in my dorm room the minute it gets to me. I'd also like The Prom Buffy/Angel set!!
If YOU could pick the next wave who would you include? Why? Which figures? What accesories?
I would do a Slayers 3 pack w/ Kennedy, Kendra, and the First Slayer. They'd have various weapons. I'd also like figures surrounding the Pack.... but I'm pretty alone there. I'd like more Willows, especially of her in gorgeous dresses, etc.
Reading, always! You can always read Buffy
If you had to give up one of these..which would it be...Touch, Smell, hear, see...?
Smell, probably, I value the others a lot,and while I like to smell, it may help me avoid getting sick or bad smells or recognizing a smell and relating it to ex-boyfriends and such.
Do you take each day with a grain of salt?
I try. I really try and do the best and not take things to seriously. Stuff happens though!

Because she stole my man! (And that's really the only reasons) That and... Jurassic Park 3. Wow, okay see, now we have a problem because you've egged me on. All right - I'll accept that answer about Tea Leoni, except have you seen her in The Naked Truth? She's like Lucille Ball level comedienne, she is so good. I think they are the most wonderful couple. I never want to hear about them getting divorced. I am going to rent tons of Tea films and re-judge. I just wish I could have nabbed David... though it's all in good fun. I think they are one of the most stable and normal couples out there, and for that I'm happy. They have cute kids too!! Yes! When they dance to "Walking in Memphis. I can't believe I couldn't remember the name, it's "The Post-Modern Prometheus." I suddenly really want to see that episode again. Did you know the monster was played by Mulder's half-brother? Oh, not exactly - you know what I mean. That moment when Mulder put his hand out to Scully to dance - argh. I was such a shipper. Still am. (and yet, I'd rather be rescued by Krycek!) But I think Chris Carter ruined it all the last two seasons. That eleven-month pregnancy. I think the 8th season was my least favorite. I wasn't a fan of edgy pregnant Scully. I wanted more passion, less missing Mulder. You chose my two favorite constellations, but how have you not seen Pegasus? It's that humongous square. My eyesight's not very good, so I'd have to go to a planetarium or get a good telescope to see it better. I think the myth of the Pegasus is my favorite, I think it would be a gorgeous creature if it existed. Your answer to the et question was totally unexpected and quite wonderful. Connecting that to the museum question, what do you think about ancient Egypt and the pyramids and all? Did we have help or did we somehow do it ourselves? I think both - I like to believe at some point another life form and humans worked together to create the magnificent pyramids. I would love visit them, because they're just breathtaking. I love the theories surrounding all the great wonders of the world. I'm so taken by all the books written about these different landmarks and the possibility of life from other planets. I hope we'll still get to discuss this post Hot Seat! Graduation speaker - I guess I should have specified live. But interesting choices. I went to graduate school with someone who was a friend of Benazir Bhutto at Harvard, so by the Kevin Bacon theory you know her now by third connection. Bono sounds pretty good. Mulder and Scully Barbie set??? Why don't I know about this? The Sideshow Cancerman - how can they make him so perfect and Krycek so not (okay, this isn't a real question - I"m just mumbling) Cancerman's figure was amazing! I wish Krychek's had been better.. Nicholas is so attractive! He was in some CSI episodes too! The Mulder and Scully Barbie set was released around the movie time. I'm about to buy one on ebay! Macchu Picchu - what's the interest (one of my favorite places, too)? I'm fascinated with Mayan culture. All of the ancient people really strike me as such interesting people to study. I took an Archaeology class last semester and was just so intrigued. They have such interesting myths and not a lot is known about some of their theories and why some left. The whole 2012 thing is mentioned in so many different native tribes that it's bound to mean something. If you could pilot a UFO and go anywhere, where would you go - 1)on earth, 2)in the solar system, 3) out into our galaxy or beyond? 1) Croatia or Atlants (whereever it is) 2) Saturn and 3) Wherever I could go - I'd love to know what's beyond this universe - It's a huge interest of mine. What dioramas have you made??? When I was younger I created huge box houses for beanie babies and barbies. My problem with dioramas is that I feel that they need to have a roof. I always had to have a roof, and a possibility for a second story. I'd like to do a house for the action figures, which I might do this summer. Other than that, I made lots of furniture props for my Buffy 9 inch dolls until I need the space for more things. Did your father start buying you pencils again? He should have. Yep When he wasn't shaking his head and laughing at my creations. He bought my lots of fresh regular No.2 ones to cover with more pictures. Do you cook? If so, what are your specialties? I can't cook very well.. ::scuttles into a corner:: I've always wanted to learn! I can make some mean buttery popcorn and ice cream sundaes though! I had a great aunt who was going to teach me French cooking, but sadly she passed away before she could start teaching me. What's one period of time you would really not like to time-travel back to? The Great Depression era (10s-20s) or the Civil War. I'm not a huge Civil War buff, I'd much prefer WWII, and I think the Great Depression would be hard to live through, especially to see all the pain around you. What's a period of time you would like to time-travel back to? The 50s. I have an affinity for that time period and just think the music and culture was at a huge height. If I could go back farther, possibly the ancient times in Egypt, or the Renaissance ages of England/Italy. I have more questions. I don't want to press this too far, but I'll be back. I told you that I'll work all night to get to them!

Favorite Ice Cream flavor? Cookie dough fudge mint chip! Besides that, Mint Chocolate Chip. After IWRY, I used to order cookie dough and mint chip together to try and channel the Buffy/Angel ice cream flavor idea. Dr.Pepper or Mr.Pibb. Coke always seems metallicky to me - and Diet Sodas make me crave sugar, so those two are my middle ground! First song you danced to with your boyfriend? I sound really awful right now... but I don't know. The song we slow danced to at Prom last year was by someone I didn't know and still don't know. This year, I'd say "If you're not the one" by Daniel Bedingfield. Last sweet thing your boyfriend did for you? You for him? He brought me roses on Friday for our anniversary, and I'm writing him a poem within a card for him that he doesn't know about... unless he's reading this! Could you see your self in military service? If so what branch? I don't see myself in the service, but if I were to, I'd enjoy the navy. I think running a ship, a submarine and the ocean are all intriguing concepts.

Hey Hadley. I like hypathetical Questions so here they are:
If you were on an island made up of entire one animal, what would it be?
If you could be in a musical, what musical?
If your best friend was going to leave you, but you had the chance to stop him/her, what would you do or say to get him/her to stay?
If a building was on fire and you had one family member inside and five strangers, who do you save?
If Mulder(David) let you ask him any question, what would it be?
What would you want his answer to be to your one question?
THAT'S IT FOR NOW. You're a great Hotseat person!

If you were on an island made up of entire one animal, what would it be? White fluffy doggies or cute little yellow chicks. I'm a happy snuggly animal person! If you could be in a musical, what musical? Phantom of the Opera - which I totally forgot to mention above! That are Rent, though Phantom just seems so much darker and well costumed. If your best friend was going to leave you, but you had the chance to stop him/her, what would you do or say to get him/her to stay? I would tell them how much they mean to me. I'm dealing with this right now because my best friend is moving to North Carolina for college, and it's so hard to think of not seeing her all the time. I'd write her constantly after she left, and I'm writing her one final letter saying how much she's meant to me these past years. As long as my friend wasn't leaving for good, I'd be able to understand her need to leave. If a building was on fire and you had one family member inside and five strangers, who do you save? I would find a way to save all 6 of them. I'd have the fire department out there with a thing to catch people as they jumped out of windows. I would run through fire if I had too. If Mulder(David) let you ask him any question, what would it be? Will you marry me? What would you want his answer to be to your one question? YES!!!!!!!!!!!! THAT'S IT FOR NOW. You're a great Hotseat person! Thanks so much Nick!! I hope you're able to ask some more before the time runs out tomorrow!!

Angela Via (a singer), Ryan Cabrera, George Brett (a KC Royals Baseball player), other KC football and basketball players. I've seen Alyssa Milano, and shared an elevator with Tori Amos, but didn't talk to either of them. Name 5 reasons David Duchovny is hot? Name 5 for David Boreanz, now which ones hotter? David Duchovny: 1- looks good in suits 2- has aged well 3- picks interesting, not of the norm roles 4- has been able to maintain steady successful relationships 5- is loyal to those whom he dates, and later married
David Boreanaz: 1- looks good in black 2- has great abs when he tones them 3- seems very humble not diva-like about his accomplishments 4- is friendly to costars and fans 5- is not extravagant with his money and still seems like a regular guy you could talk to
Winner: Duchovny! A little bit, but I steer clear. There's the whole 'worm at the bottom' thing, and I have a huge phobia of worms, it's very crazy of me, but it does effect my life in some areas. I'm a pepperoni and cheese girl, boring, I know, but I also like Margherita pizza on occasion! Favorite thing about running the swaps, least favorite thing? Favorite thing: getting to pair people up with new people and seeing the new friendships that are made Worst thing: having people not send gifts and then be rude about it or make excuses, I try to weed those people out. I LOVE Mary Higgins Clark, and Carol Higgins Clark, Name the last book you read from one of them, Then Pm me any you havent read and I'll send you some of mine!!! My favorite book by MHC is "Loves Music, Loves to Dance," and CHC my favorite is "Snagged." I haven't gotten to read any the last year. I think Daddy's Little Girl was one of the last ones I picked up. I also really liked the book MHC did about George and Martha Washington, it's one of my favorites ever. Whats the meaning of life? Just kidding!! If I knew, I'd share my lecture earnings with you. For some reason, I think it's rooted in kindness and respect to others.

Oh, is rory gilmore a buffy fan? Definetly! She makes remarks about Buffy (like the quote below my avatar. She'd have to watch Buffy to know about Spike and Dru! Rory's well versed - and she has a crush on Xander.

I'm reading it now and am so excited I have to read large portions out to my wife - it's called 1491 by Charles C. Mann. I don't know how much you love history, but this is fantastic stuff about the Americas before Columbus. Love your Q&A's so far!

When you are at the end of your life, what will you hope to have accomplished? I hope to have had a full life doing things I love: traveling, having a career, possibly getting married or at least having been truly in love. I'd like to look back and not have any regrets, to say that I always said what I needed to, and was a good person. Do you feel like you are different than other people your age? Somedays I do, other days I feel like I'm still the girl looking for Britney cds. I have teenybopper days, or days where I'm 25 in an 18 year olds body! It varies per situation for me. I think that because my family and relatives have always treated me older and gave me the chance to explore my independance, that I skipped the whole, "being immature and needing to rebel" part of my life. I'm happy with the person I am, but hope to get to know myself and the world around me more in the future. What has helped you to be more compassionate towards others and so interested in the world at large? Talking to people, learning their stories, keeping my friends happy and giving people hope. My biggest hope for the world is that people begin to respect and understand each other more, and are able to create bonds even with differences. I credit my family with always giving the oppurtunities to explore what I wanted to do, and some of that is politics. I also credit all of my experiences and the people I've met in my life whom helped me grow, learn, and find my callings in life. Thank you all for a great week. This has been a great experience and I've enjoyed getting to know you through the questions! (Yep - I get to know many of you too!) I hope I can reciprocate questions at some time! Thanks again, Hadley
