Core cast done? Where is our Anya? Dawn? Tara? TARA? They could have made a great set of "Once More With Feeling" Willow and Tara figures, EVERYONE would have bought those...
Thats sad, I've been waiting for Sideshow to make a Tara or Anyanka for me to buy.

There are no other companies that would buy it. So theres no point in getting mad about them holding onto the license...which I dont think they can do anyway. They have a license for a specific amount of time...after which they will just let it go...if they were to RENEW it after it expired just to let it rot...then we could get mad. But they arent doing anything purposely evil to prevent us from getting more figures.
The reality is lines like Buffy and James Bond or whatever put them on the path to grow and grow. And they grew large enough to get licenses like Star Wars and LOTR. They are in a whole other league now...Buffy helped bring them to where they are and now they have no use for it. It sucks but its business. If a Gunn figure could move as many pieces as Han Solo, then we would have a Gunn by now.
We can pray that they end up doing more but I dont think there are any companies out there dying to snatch up the license.

Well it has been reported over on the Sideshow board that in the latest issue of Buffy and Angel magazine that Sideshow have said that the Buffy/Angel line has been retired and that Giles will be the last 12 inch figure to be released.
They also talk about the possibility of a limited edition release of a blue suited Lorne (big deal) but that would be the last. They also said that they will be continuing on with the Premium format range. The next one to be released will be Angel.

Oh great so there getting rid of the £40 12" figures and keeping the Premium Format figures that are £180! Great! There are sooo many other figure to do in 12" Adam, Illyria, Anya, Gwen, Skip etc

I'm really not interested in the premium format figures but if they managed to do Faith and totally nail her likeness, I would not only HAVE to buy her, but I would most likely then track down all the previous ones as well...I'm weird like that. So, hopefully they never do Faith I suspect that her and Willow will be the 2 following Angel.

That sucks, and here I was trying to be all optimistic about the situatuion. I like the premium format figures, so at least that's some comfort.
