Okay, we help DST by buying their figures, and they help us by making their figures... But this is freaken rediculous! 125 for one repaint figure! I would love an autograph... But OMG thats so retarded! Is this their way of thanking us for buying their figures? Okay... well Im vented...
UPDATE: Okay, sorry DST! Thanks alot Benson Entertainment! We are your fans, and this is how you thank us?
Also why would DST let them get this figure and sell it for that much?

But OMG thats so retarded! Is this their way of thanking us for buying their figures? Okay... well Im vented... As I said before, the price was determined by Benson Entertainment, the exclusive holder. It wasn't DST's idea to create this Tara figure. Amber Benson requested another Tara figure for the specific reason of creating her next movie. Benson Entertainment, not DST, decided the price. Don't blame DST for something they didn't do. -CMK

I LOVE YOU AMBER AND I LOVE THAT YOU'RE A VERY TALENTED GIRL BUT YOU JUST RUINED MY DAY, . I'm so so so mad, I'm crying the hell out of me while I'm writing this and I just want to say that this is my FAVORITE Tara figure but I would NEVER have it unless Amber is good enough to sell at least the 20-30% of the 2,000 unsigned at $15.95. Please Amber, be good to your fans!!!!

Ah well. I understand why She's so much n all... But yeah... Thast a lil more than I can afford. Also cause the way I work, Id be opening that package for her too... And thatd just be dumb if shes signing n all... So I shall pass on what is possibly the best Tara version of the 4. But I do hope that some ppl are able to buy it and support her movie. She deserves that.

it's really an obscene amount of money for an action figure. And when I convert it to NZ dollars, thats about $250. Thing is, I think I can afford it, I just got a raise and a bonus at work, so I've got a little extra money in the bank. but I'll have to think about it for a while...

Why would DST let them get this figure and sell it for that much? Again...considering the marketplace for limited edition figures, as well as the marketplace for signed and personalized autographs, it's pretty clear why $125.00 was the number they came up with. Also, Amber needs money for the production of her film, and $250,000 (125x2000) helps the production a lot more than $30,000 (15x2000). -CMK

This is my favorite Tara figure! But that is about it. It is a repaint. The price is too much, but I see why. I wish I could get it!

I would love to have this figure, and if I had more money I would order it. But I'm afraid that I can't afford it. Me too Here what Cinequest posted: This will be the figure of the year! Only 2,000 of this figure, featuring Tara in her outfit from the "Triangle" episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer, are being produced just for Amber Benson. Ms. Benson is selling the figure to raise money to produce her second, as-yet-untitled, independent feature film, which is now in preproduction. Amber's directorial debut, "Chance," premired at Sidewalk Film Festival in Birmingham, AL, Ms. Benson's hometown. CineQuest.com is supporting the fund-raising by agreeing to handle credit card orders on Ms. Benson's behalf. This figure, produced by Diamond Select Toys, is limited to 2,000 total worldwide and will not be sold at retail stores or by Diamond Select. It can only be obtained through Benson Entertainment through this special offer. "Triangle" Tara, a standard blister-carded 6" figure, is scheduled to be shipped to Ms. Benson in October (subject to change by the manufacturer). Each figure will be signed by Ms. Benson and she will personalize it by writing a short message that you request. (Note: Messages will be limited to five words and must be approved by Ms. Benson). Once she receives the figures, it will take approximately two weeks for the signing and personalization and then your figure will be sent to you. Note: Your credit card will be charged immediately for this figure in order to guarantee your item. There is a flat shipping fee of $6.95 per figure ordered by U.S. customers; the figure will be sent out U.S. priority mail and insured. International customers will be charged standard USPS airmail shipping for the figure and can order by clicking here. Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation invoice and then an email requesting how you would like the figure to be signed. If you wish to pay by Pay Pal, money order or certified check, please visit www.amberbenson.us to order. All funds received by CineQuest.com for this figure will go directly to Amber Benson to help finance her latest film endeavor. Please join us in supporting her efforts.

I love this figure, too. And I think I actually could afford it. But is it really worth it for one figure? I like Chase Tara a little more anyway. I just don't care for all the brown. By the way, shouldn't JD or somebody update the top line of the Anya and Taras to include Triangle Tara. (Just to make things a little less confusing)

Damn, I really want one too. 125 dollars is alot of money to ask for a repaint. I was expecting something like 70 dollars but this? Wow thats alot for me to spend on a figure. That's like half of my weekly pay. I dunno, I want to have one. I want to help her out. So I am thinking about it. I hope they will be available for a couple weeks though, I need time to get the money. Really bummed now.

I will probably score up on it.
I know I will.
Is it certain that your name gets put in the credits (much like the whole "Chance" deal was)?

I guess my completist days are over. Cause there no way i am paying a 125.00 for one figure. Especially since it's a fund raiser for Amber second film. Last year at the Mid Ohio Con someone mentioned her film Chance to Andy Hallett. He had never seen the finished film. Amber didn't even bother to send him a copy. And on top of that he said the reason she was selling signed photos or signed posters and saying you get the movie Chance free was so she didn't have to pay the actors in the film. He was very upset about it. And for that reason Amber will not get a dime from me.

That's a very interesting piece of info, I guess Amber is not the kind of person we all thought she was. BTW, someone mention that by buying the figure your name is putted on the film's credits, Is this true?

I'll add the picture of Triangle Tara now.
Let me start off by saying the details of this offer were a complete surprise to me. I am disappointed the price tag is this high, but as CMK1887 has pointed out... this is not outrageous when you consider you're getting a personalized autograph AND a very limited figure. I have no doubt that Amber will be able to sell all of them.
Having said that, I want one. I don't want to pay that much. It is a little encouraging that the figures are beginning to merge with more "mainstream" Buffy merchandise, as that will help keep the line going.
Here's my suggestion. From now on, any time DST produces an extremely limited or expensive figure... let the fans buy it. I suggest that after DST has three such figures out that they make a box set containing all three. In this case, it would be a box set containing Triangle Tara, SDCC Dark Willow, and World Tour Willow. Make a couple thousand (they're all repaints after all) and sell them on the DST site for $29.99 each. No bases, no accessories, just the hard-to-find figures that completionists need to continue collecting the line. These box sets would come out long after the first "Super Exclusive" and would be in a different packaging style to differentiate them from the original figures.
That way, Amber could still sell personalized individually carded figures (and still sell out) but fans would still be able to get them for a reasonable price.
I'll work on it.

JD, I like your idea BUT remember that 1 of those figures have acsessories, Triangle Tara, and I don't thing many fans would like the idea of having her without her base and acsessories, like me. I think they should just sell them in their original packages BUT at a $25-30 price tag.

That's not going to happen, though. And do we really need more of the regular Tara's accessories?

I know it's not gonna happen, I can dream . And I do need more regular Tara acsessories because she would look ugly just being her standing there all alone, she would look better standing on a base with some acsessories.
