Come on. Who needs 4 Taras in different colour outfits? Me. Also, they aren't just different colors...there are different designs on each of the outifts. Worth adding to any collection, IMO. -CMK

Even though it is a repaint. This doesn't mean we wont ever get another Tara figure. I will definitly be geting this fig. I like the outfit better than regular Tara.(cool design) Hopefully it wont be to hard to come by.

Im glad to get another Tara.
We knew we were not going to see anything new sculpt wise or we would have seen it already.
DST already stated that MAC scanned Amber with the jacket on and it was a bad scan.
They couldnt have sculpted anything off the new scan yet.
I could agree that we dont need anymore right now that might be overkill.
4 is alright with me.

This figure is my favorite so far. Excellent color choice, it looks much more distinct than the other three. Positive comments to the current taras are more likely to lead to different sculpts so lets keep the morale up shall we?

That pic is smaller than a teeny tiny fear demon. =) That's me... I like the Tara, like I said before I'll take anything. JD can you get a bigger picture for us? I know you're probably working on it already. Thanks in advance.

Well i personally Love DST for all of these Taras, when I found out there was only going to be three, I was kinda sad.. But its like DST using the Transformation Willow body for WTW, and WWW(in the spellbook). People didnt complain about that body being used three times.. Just think of two pack Tara as WWW in the spellbook, and that "triangle" Tara as WTW( lets just hope that it wont be as hard to find) And if you dont like regular Tara, buy triangle Tara( or the other way around) I think its great that DST can make a figure, then make it look A LOT diferent with just a simple repaint. We get more Taras and DST can save a little bit of money(because they dont have to get whole new sculpts) And with all the repaints, customizers wont have to spend hours trying to get all the details down, because DST has already coverd that If you think all the Taras arent that great, becasue theyre just repaints, look at all the Anya sculpts were getting(the only Anyas that have the same body parts are regular and bunny, and everything is different on the other Anyas)... So basically when your bumed about the Taras, think about the Anyas, the Willow, and every other figure(s) DST's coming out with.. I personally think this is going to be one of my favorite Taras, It just seems more Taraish to me Now im done, didnt mean to just ramble on like that hehe

I would also like to see a larger version of the picture. I think that from what I have seen the outfit is pretty accurate, especially the tshirt . Wonder when they will go on sale, and how us in the UK will be able to get one. Has anyone heard what the production numbers will be on this one ? Was just thinking - "Triangle" was a big Anya episode wasn't it - with Olaf etc. This is the ep where Buffy gets the hammer, which is in the Anyanka figure's pack. Wonder if there is any connection between the two figures/accessories

Sorry you guys, its a great figure and all, but i fear there milking it abit here. Yea its episode specific......so what? They wont give us a new sculpt, but there happy enough to license Another re-paint? Why not put that money into a new sculpt which would be miles better?

They wont give us a new sculpt, but there happy enough to license Another re-paint? Why not put that money into a new sculpt which would be miles better? Because a new sculpt is incredibly expensive (We're talking thousands of dollars if not tens of thousands) while a repaint is incredibly cheap (just pay the painter to do a couple prototypes). I'm thinking of it like this... DST was a little worried initially about the Tara figures selling so they used one sculpt to get two figures (Tara/Hush Tara). Limits risk for them, gets us more figures, tests the market for Tara. It went over well, and Cinequest wanted a Willow/Tara 2-Pack. Again, possible to reuse both sculpts to limit risk and see what the fans will do. Then Amber Benson herself wanted an exclusive Tara. With no time left to resculpt a brand new figure (and it being FAR cheaper to reuse existing molds) they did another repaint. DST just got 4 Tara figures for the price of one essentially. If they sell well, I think we'll see another Tara in the future. Box Sets, Two-Packs, OMWF-style figures.... it's definitely possible.

I assume you mean during mass production? Sorry but DST is a company, so what if it costs money, Tara is a popular character, a OMWF Tara would sell like crazy, i know it, you know it. So why cant they just put themsleves out there and do it? Really i cant see the risk in doing that, they'll easily get the money back. They are doing it for Anya, and shes not even as popular as Tara! I hope your right about us seeing another non-repaint Tara in the future

I love the "triangle" paint job, it looks great. Although I'm wondering how widely available these figures will be. I wouldn't be suprised if they are quite limited, and rather pricey - as an Amber Benson exclusive. But I'm sure DST will start releasing a few more details as time goes on.

Available now at Cinequest, separated by US orders and non-US orders...for $125.00! The money made from the figure is going to be used to help Amber make her next independent film. Triangle Tara, a standard blister-carded 6" figure, is scheduled to be shipped to Ms. Amber Benson in October (subject to change by the manufacturer). Each figure will be signed by Amber and she will personalize it by writing a short message that you request (messages will be limited to five words and must be approved by Amber). I don't know. It seems like a lot of money... -CMK

This had better not be the only way to get this. If it's not available through Ambers site at a reasonable price then screw it, this aint worth it. Bad news Flobbo...it's the same price at The Essence of Amber. The thing is that the price was determined by Benson Entertainment, the exclusive holder. Thinking of the marketplace for limited edition figures, as well as the marketplace for signed and personalized autographs, it's pretty clear why $125.00 was the number they came up with. -CMK

I love Amber, and I'd love to help out with her next film, but $125 for a simple re-paint? Don't think so.

I love Amber, and I'd love to help out with her next film, but $125 for a simple re-paint? Don't think so. I understand that a lot of people will be expressing their disapproval towards the high price, but let's consider a few things... - The white box Bunny Anya figures signed by Emma Caulfield sold for upwards of $200.
- The unsigned pre-production White Witch Willow figures sell for between $85 and $100.
- The signed white box prototype for the Tara figure that Amber signed at SDCC has sold for upwards of $350.
Now, it's true that a lot of you wouldn't pay these prices for any of these figures, but people have bought them for these large amounts of money. Paying $125 for this Tara figure isn't that different. Also keep in mind that the money made from the list of figures above went to FOX, DST, retailers, etc. The money made from this figure is going towards the production of Amber's next movie. The money made from this figure is going towards someone's artistic expression. -CMK Note: Don't think that I wouldn't love for the price of this figure to be lowered...I would. I would love for it to be available at various retail stores for $15.95. I'm just taking the information that's been given and letting everyone know that the things revolving around this figure (mainly price) aren't all bad.

This is one of my favorite Tara's. I love the look of it, but I can't justify spending $125, I just can't do it... I open and display all of my figures and $125 for something I am going to open and display is just not in the cards I am afraid. My b-f is pretty understanding about my Buffy figures when they are $20-$40, $125 I don't think he would find as fun as I would. Although, if I get the figure, the personal signature and a mention in the credits of the film I would consider it. B

I would love to have this figure, and if I had more money I would order it. But I'm afraid that I can't afford it.

Man. She looks awesome, which is actually really depressing, considering the price tag.
I know Amber raised money from fans for her last movie, Chance -- and I think she gave people signed photos for money they sent in? I don't recall. So it's cool if you look at it like a free prize for Amber-obsessed people who were going to donate anyway, 'cause it's like free stuff. On the other hand it's not at all cool for people like me, who just can't afford it.
Oh well. Best of luck to Amber with her new film!
