Here we go... I would love to see a gallery of banners. I'm not sure how well that would work. Like Digital Leonardo said, a lot of people have their banners saved on a server, and they usually take them off the server when they're finished with them to save space. I think it'd be a hassle to get someone to host all of the banners just to show them here on the forum. Just enjoy the banners that are up now...there will always be new ones, so you'll be sure to always have something to please your banner craving. In the other figure section, could there be a sub-thread for reveiws that we do. I view all the threads in the "Pylea: Figures and Collectibles from Other Worlds" section as sort of mini-reviews of the other collectibles out there, so I don't really see a point in making a separate sub-board for reviews. Proboards doesn't provide use with that option (as far as I know), but if it ever becomes one, we'll definitely use it! I have noticed some bad transactions here, but its REALLY hard to go through that long transaction thread. Wouldnt it be easier if we had 2 threads? 1 for good transactions and 1 for bad? I've already created them. Go check 'em out! -CMK

Ok, I have another suggestion, Shouldnt we have a section or sub board devoted to props? Im talkin real props not replicas. I know alot of forum members collect them and like to discuss them,
I know I do, It would be very helpful to be able to ask other prop collectors or members for help in locating scenes with specific props in them, etc...
Thanks,
-Val

I would be really interested in that too. Very good idea Val! I have some real props from Buffy and it would be great if we could have a board to post them on to get help in locating which episodes they came from. I've tried finding some of my own props in the show, and I haven't found many, there are just too many eps to go through by yourself. It would also be great to see other collections. -Jess

There doesn't need to be a separate sub-board for this. You can create a thread for it in the Buffy/Angel Discussion section. Since this section is devoted to talking about the shows and anything related to them, anything regarding the props from the shows fits well in there. -CMK

Here is a repost from the other thread...don't want it lost in the drama... Here are my suggestions:
1) Mods to create a Faq thread to be stickied at the top of every forum to combine things a little more. I.e. in the customs section...there could be a faq that combined the guide for posting, guide for critiques, and the customizing for dummy threads.
2) No more For Sale posts in the Customs section...I feel strongly that this area should be only for creating customs and such. Forsale post should only be in the marketplace section! Or create a subsection to announce customs for sale...or taking commissions etc....
3) Potentially subdivide the customs sections into a q/a or advice section...and a show and tell/feedback section. That way more customs show up on a page...and the threads about how to remove hair and 'what should i customize next' go into a seperate area. This works on another board I frequent...
4) Have a monthly Challenge in the customs section. If the mods don't have time to do it...i am sure there are several of us that would be willing to do this for you. This is something not for prizes....or if anything a random participation prize. I am talking about a .. "April Challenge: make a season 7 Dawn!" something like that...its encouraging for new customizers who won't feel pressured to compete with the old crusty stalwart customizers...and fun for the crustys too .
5) In the Marketplace...create a subboard for Looking For posts to help get that a little cleaner.
6) In the marketplace...one for sale thread per person.. marked delete when its over. Just update it when you need to make changes.
7) Only one "bump" allowed per day in any for sale/looking for thread as well as the custom thread.
8) in marketplace, change the For Sale to FS or For Trade to FT and looking for to WTB (wanted to buy) or WTT (wanted to trade)...takes up less space and leaves more room in the title to describe items for sale
9) Consider expanding the board to more topics...with future whedon projects coming...we might want to consider other ways to stay vital and active. (i.e. Goners and Wonder Woman...Spike Movie?)
10) Expand the swaps maybe? Give them there own subsection? Could be fun to do different types of swaps to foster the community. I.e. giftcard swaps...bini swaps, banner swaps, book swaps, burn a cd of your favorite songs etc... There is alot of potential there.

(some ideas below reposted):
I agree with Alyrenee. Here are some things I said in the "blunt thread":
To be specific, I support the move to make the custom section less marketplace, and organize it a little better/ clean up some clutter and sticky posts. Also like the idea of monthly non-contest Challenges (what happened to those?), where each member who joins could get a fantag or maybe a badge for their participation. I don't really like the idea of planning these ahead, so maybe ideas could be PM'd in or put in a post, and members could vote on it, top ones put in a raffle and each month they could be chosen randomly. Even if two people join, it's fun for people to browse. Maybe by the end of the year or something people with the most fantags or badges can get a special feature on the forum or something. It would also be great to get people from outside the forum to join, and maybe even have a couple non-Buffy contests.
I just hope we get some support for this, and that it's sustained for at least a couple months.

I agree about the custom challenges I miss the thrill and to see what everyone come up with the contests always brought out a lot of creativity and I like willfan's idea about voting the themes

I really love this idea (I posted in the Be Blunt thread). But I'll say it here too. I think the monthly challenges would bring out the creativity more. Plus it would give us customizers something to look forward to each month.

I definately feel like we need the challenges in the customizing section.
I know Low turn out was a reason once given by CMK for doing a way with them..but I gotta tell you Chad..I have talked with other customizers and I think you would be VERY suprised at how good the turn out would be for a contest or challenge right now.
All Im saying is PLEASE consider it. THE MAIN thing that drew me to this forum was the customizer friendly atmosphere here. And I cant help but notice some of the fun is gone without the challenges.
I also spoke to a few custom fans who dont customize. They are for the challenges too. It really spotlights the custom section and sets us apart from other forums.
Thats my opinion. I hope other customizers (and fans of customs in general) will speak up...

I second the challenges. I really miss the monthly chalenges and I would love to participate in them again!!
I also very enthusastically second the removal of sales from the customs board! I understand that people want to sell their customs. I even try to sell mine every once in a while but I feel like it is becoming one of the main focuses of the section.

Sidestrike..
what does that mean?
Do you not want us to have challenges?
How does it affect you at all?
Do you even regularly visit the custom section? Do you have a suggestion you would like to add?

I think he means that not everyne customizes, so It would be nice if we could have something to help involve non-customizers into the forum

Oh, Insanity thats cool...
But he needs to suggest something. This is the suggestion box.
A little clarification would be nice :-)
One liners that are obvious..dont really add much. Post an idea..If you want something for non-customizers..name it. Im sure it will be considered too.
Plus all members can vote for the best custom, so its not excluding non-customizers. Regular members are a big part of it.
