Yeah, they're in stores. I don't own any yet, but when I called my Hot Topic they said they had them.

Forgot to post, but I finally saw these in person. I had no interest before, but I'm so tempted to buy that Dementor. BTW, does anyone know what Neca is doing? I'm seeing preorders for the Series 2 figures in 18 inch, 12 inch, 7 inch, and 3 3/4 inch. Do they really think those will all sell?

Not sure where you looking so can't comment 100% for sure, but from what I know the main line is 7" but there is a 12" Hagrid figure. He's still part of the 7" line, but they made him 12" tp reflect his size in the movie. The 18" I'd not heard a lot about, but I imagine it's just of Harry. As for the 3 3/4 inch figrues, I thought a company called Card Inc was doing those not NECA and it was only in like the UK or something. Never heard of NECA doing that scale, it would def. be new ground for them.

wow. that's crazy. I don't get why they are doing that ... to compete with the Card Inc figures? Why would you buy great 7" figures, and then small 3" ones that are the exact same. Can you sale .. items headed straight for clearence bins? Maybe it's a missprint or something ... I've never known NECA to do that scale before .. I hope they don't overkill the licence and fuck it up. I was so excited when i heard they got it.

Perhaps it's a mass market thing. I know these won't show up at TRU etc, but perhaps the 3 3/4 inch figures will see the light of day at stores like Walmart, TRU and Target. Could explain the overkill.

Not that ToyWiz neccesarily has good prices, but, it is is discouraging to see they are pricing Hermione $5 more than the other figures.

OK, i asked NECA about the difference in the 7" and the 3.5" ones and:

it is is discouraging to see they are pricing Hermione $5 more than the other figures. Really?? How do they figure Hermione will be the more sort after figure? Unless she is going to be shortpacked...but that seems kinda odd for an adult collectors line like Neca. It's not like we adults will leave a female figure on the shelves...oooohhhhh cootees ;D

NECA tends to do that. Firstly, they rarely make female figures so they always tend to sell better anyway. And secondly, they tend to shortpack the females as well. POTC Elizabeth Swann is actually quite hard to find now because of it. I never even saw her in stores.

Who would just get Harry and Ron? That's silly! Every one needs the trio!

Who would just get Harry and Ron? That's silly! Every one needs the trio! I think the logic has long been with a lot of toy companies that female figures don't sell as well as their male counterparts, which is stupid - because it's the complete opposite with most lines. NECA isn't as bad as some, but they do still short pack female figures a lot. My brother-in-law has ordered a few cases of their figures, and if the line is just male - it's usually pretty even split. But if there is a female figure(s) they are always packed in smaller numbers.
