Maybe as it gets closer to the release date you can try www.toynk.comThey sell the NECA Pirates figures as they come out for a good price as well as offering $4.99 for shipping no matter how much you buy. I have to say that these figures look amazing and I really hope that I can afford them.

from figrues.com:
NECA revealed plans for their newly-acquired Harry Potter license at this year’s Toy Fair International. Fans have already seen images of Harry Potter Series 1 in recent weeks but the Order of the Phoenix figures were unveiled at Toy Fair. NECA is cooking up a little magic of their own with these figures and Potter fans will be spellbound with what is in store for the year.
Order of the Phoenix Series 1 (May ’07): Harry Potter Hermoine Granger Ron Weasley Sirius Black
Order of the Phoenix Series 2 (July ’07): Each figure in this series will include a separate piece to a build-a-figure. Severus Snape Harry Potter (new sculpt) Dumbledore Death Eater (three different versions!)
A massive box set is planned and will feature an epic confrontation between Harry Potter and Lord Voldemort in front of a crypt. Also planned is a deluxe 10” Hagrid box set that will be in scale with the rest of the HP figures. Hagrid will come packaged with two of his ‘magical creatures’, Fang and Norbit.

Maybe the robot guard looking thing is the build-a-figure figures.com mentioned.

Could be, but what is it? I feel stupid I wouldn't. Doesn't seem like anyone knows. Maybe it's something from the new movie, that's not in the books? or not described in the book.

Does anyone else think that Hagrid didn't look 10 inches tall?

Does anyone else think that Hagrid didn't look 10 inches tall? I thought the same thing. But someone mentioned NECA shows a lot of 2-up figures, and believed a lot of the new HP figures were. So maybe when they get shrunk down, Hagrid will only be shrunk a little? where as Snape will be shrunk down to half size. If that makes any sense, I don't know who the whole process works.

Do'h. That actually makes a lot of sense. It never occured to me, but all they have to do is shrink it down a little. Nevermind, problem solved. I can't wait to get him and his pets . I hope they expand it and throw in a Buckbeak as well. I wouldn't mind paying twice the price of a figure if I get Hagrid and 3 important magical creatures.

I'm pretty sure it's either March or later this month. They already had packaged figures at Toy Fair. I'm sure they were prototypes, but they can't be far off now.

Ohh goody! I want that Voldemort right now! hehehe I just love Voldemort and Dumbledore, my two favorites.. That's why I'm so eager to see the OTF Dumbledore, and specially the earlier version, which was played by Richard Harris... He was PERFECT for the role... Too bad he's gone

That's what I read. I'll see if I can find the artacle. Edit: Okay, I swear when I read this artacle earlier today it said that Snape was the build a figure. Now it says "Each figure in this series will include a separate piece to the 'Requirement Room Death Eater' build-a-figure." Normally I would say I misread it, but this WAS NOT there this morning. From Figures.com: New Harry Potter license rolling with three series of figures… NECA revealed plans for their newly-acquired Harry Potter license at this year’s Toy Fair International. I know what you're saying. I checked that announcement this morning! Nowhere did it mention the death eater BAF. I know I would have remembered that. At least we know what that figure is now
