Yeah!!! The site is back up! I am VERY impressed with this Jack figure. I think the sculpt is better than the new Dr. Who one...either that or it is painted better. The new Dr. Who one has really red lips, this one look more natural. I like his stance, it looks more like him in Torchwood...with him looking up a bit. If you compare the pics of each new Jack you can see that the sculpts are about the same. This makes sense because both were developed by Designworks. Don't get hopes up too much about the likeness of the Torchwood Jack as the picture is of a much earlier prototype than the Doctor Who final stage one which has much less detailed paint apps. I do REALY like the rolled up sleeves on the torchwood one and the fact that the holster has been confirmed to be functional unlike those on the new Doctor Who Jacks. I think I will get the DW Jack in static coat and get the Torchwood Jack, but skip the DW Jack (no coat) all together.

Thats definately something to keep in mind, & something I've been trying to remind myself about Gwen...& Donna. As nice as the DesignWorks proto's look, their paint work cannot be matched by some poor little factory worker who has a hundred more heads to paint before lunch! I was perfectly happy with my Season 2 Rose...until I saw the prototype (such a beautiful proto!). And poor, poor Sarah Jane!! ;D

I can't wait to see the Toshiko figure. She is my favourite Torchwood character by far.I really want a Maggie too ( the girl on the roof with Owen).

I can't wait to see the Toshiko figure. Same. It must be old news now, but I only just saw the line-up for series 2 is Tosh, Owen, Ianto, John & Blowfish! Thats a pretty awesome line-up! We get everyone in 2 waves.

Excellent series 2.
IF the makers carry through with their promises of more articulation, I will definitely be interested in completing the Torchwood team (plus Captain John/Spike/Brainiac).
I'm very glad they didn't go the "traditional" route of "spreading out" the main characters over a number of series causing people to only buy a few figures and the line being cancelled before the entire cast is made. I really fail to see toy companies' problem with just getting the "key" characters made and sold. Most characters in TV shows have easy and popular "variants" that could be released later with "lesser" characters. Anyway enough of the ranting due to the lack of a "Gunn" figure in my "Buffy/Angel" collection (not to mention the lack of an Ares figure from Xena).
Cheers.

I'm glad that they have done the whole main cast now too. There will proobably be two more to do figures of next series though ( althought they could do one now as I am assuming that Martha will join but that is just my guess).I really want a Maggie figure though. She is the girl that sat on the roof. She could come with that orb thing.
