I got my two sets of four, plus a third Chosen Willow. All my Buy A Figure Day stuff shipped to my parents' house, and they were wondering what I was doing buying more toys! I haven't opened my Deluxes yet, but I'd gone through them and picked the best paint apps for my "unaltered" set of four The paint apps seem really well done. The only realy noticeable problem areas I saw were on Chosen Willow. Some of the ends of her sleeves aren't fully painted, and it looks as though the shirt pattern was painted on her wrist; and on some of them, her eyes were either normal or kind of wide-eyed looking. Either one looks well enough, but I preferred the more normal looking eyes I can't wait to open them up...!

I think Kendra is my fave too. Mine happens to be very solidly built and other than the hands, no complaints. Unfortunately Kennedy's bare arms don't stay in the sockets. The peg is tiny compared to the other arm pegs so I don't know how someone expected them to stay in. Its a shame because I got a decent paint job on her too. Otherwise, these are much better to have than I thought after seeing the pics.

On my CHosen Willow, there are two "columns" down her arms where it's just blank - the pattern didn't get applied! Not a major deal, but pretty noticeable. I had planned to buy a few of these anyway for customs and whatnot - I had wanted a DST designed long hair Willow since they took over the line, and I am so very glad they didn't disappoint. The likeness is spot on - she looks more like ALyson Hannigan than any other Willow ever made (I always thought the Moore designed/DST Produced Willows didn't really have a good likeness, whether the fault of the sculpt, paint ops or both. As such I had always found the Moore original Willows to look more like her than the other ones, until Together4Ever Willow came out which was a vast improvement in paint ops and looked very very good! But the head and hair on Chosen Willow Deluxe is superb - and instantly recognizeable as Alyson Hannigan. Now I just need to get enough of them to go back and "fix" some of my other customs and maybe even customs of the older figures. She does have a bit of the "big head" syndrome that first appeared on the Buffy's and especially Dawns of the Buffy/Dawn wave, but thus far it hasn't been enough to bother me so hopefully this will hold true!
ANyway, if this does end up being the last weave of DST Buffy FIgures, I for one am pleased and think it's probably the best line...or maybe the more accurate way of saying it is that it's the first line in ages to not have any major complaints, flaws or shoddy work. Whether this is because it's based on Deluxe bodies or if it's just a sign that DST was really starting to listen to the numerous fan complaints and was getting its act togetherm or maybe these had been designed *before* they seemed to have lost their love for the Buffy line - whatever the reasons, these are well done figures in terms of accuracy (WIllow really looks like WIllow! It's wonderful!!! Kennedy and Kendra are decent likenesses (and Kennedy looks like she can easily modded into a Fred!), and the deluxe bodies seem to have the bugs ironed out of them as well. Of course I hope we get the remaining figures. But these are a nice change for the better, and excellent Willows (which being my favorite character is doubly nice!). :-)

Has anyone in the UK received these yet? If so, where did you purchase them?

I just ordered Kennedy and Kendra at FPI, so they'll get to me whenever they come out. This is the first time I've ordered figures online! I can't wait for these!

I opened Kendra, Kennedy, and one of my Chosen Willows last night. Willow is awesome, all the joints are tight, and I can't help thinking that she's of better quality than Kendra and Kennedy. Both my Kendra and my Kennedy have one bare arm that won't stay in the socket, or barely does. I'm going to try some of my other bare arms from the deluxe Buffys and Faiths later, see if any of them work any better, but I might have to exchange Kendra. ..Now that I think about it, maybe that's just as well. My Kendra has this charming paint slop- the white from her teeth slopped over her lips on one side. It's slightly creepy.

You could try boiling some water and dipping the head and torso in so that the arm sockets are covered in water and hold her there for a minute or so and then put the arms back in. That has tightened up the arm sockets on some of mine for me.

I didn't plan to get WWW, but I saw it today at the Baltimore Comic-Con and it's so damn impressive. It was only $10, so I had to pick it up. Can't wait to open it!

Here's a handful of suggestions that may help:
I've used a pair of needle-nose pliers to squeeze the peg on the arms - you can focus on just the peg shaft or the peg head or both if needed. This will sometimes work to get them to stay in as you can use this method to slightly lengthen the peg and/or as well as squeezing it to flatten it out making it wider (hope I'm describing this well enough!). The increased width will sometimes be enough to hold it in. If you heat the peg first to get it pliable, then do the squeeze bit and run it under cold water while squeezing, it can help it last longer. Just be sure to carefully examine the arm in place and inserting/removing it to try to get as much info as you can on where the problem lies (the socket, the peg's length, the peg's width, etc).
I think I remember some people using tape (i.e. wrap a tiny peice around the peg to make it thicker). This is the easiest "fix" but if you swap arms a lot the tape can come off (sometimes in the socket!) necessitating repairs. It can also leave a sticky residue - which sometimes is actually good as it helps the arm stay in! :-)
Someone else used super glue - not to glue the arm in, but rather cover the peg liberally and let it dry *before* putting in back in the socket (be careful not to drip it on anything or to get glue on your fingers!). The extra width the dried super glue provides is sometimes enough to fix such problems. It may take a couple coats to build it up enough but it's probably the best solution when the peg is the problem and it still allows the jacket arms to be swapped at will because you're only modifying the arm's peg.
If the socket is too big, you could try putting some sculpey inside the socket, pop the arm in to get the impression of the peg, and then use a slim string or dot of sculpey to plug it up just a bit so once it's baked it will provide enough friction to keep them in. This can be tricky especially with the larger peg of the jacket arms.
And finally, there's always contacting DST and asking for a replacement (I'd use the other arm that stays in fine to determine if the socket is loose or if the arm peg is the problem so you know what to ask for - may save having to send in the whole figure if you just have a bad arm peg). And failing that, you could try selling her to customizers or someone that only intends to display her jacketed, and use that bit of dough to get a new one. :-)
Anyway, hopefully at least one of those options will help! Let us know if it does and which one you used!

I got Kennedy and Kendra the other day. They're for customizing, so I don't mind the imperfections on the paint jobs. The only thing wrong I see with them is that Kendra's hair line is really weird (she has a lot of skin-tone hair color in the front). But that doesn't matter at all. I'm so happy that we got these from DST, now I can make Kendra and Kennedy customs!
BTW, did anyone else notice that the Kennedy figure looks kind of like Fred?

BTW, did anyone else notice that the Kennedy figure looks kind of like Fred? Most definitely!!! I was already thinking she'd be an easy Fred custom - there's really not anything to change (the hair maybe, but the face is Fredish thru and thru!). I think I remember reading other posts that said the same thing when the first pics came out. Honestly, everytime I look at the figure I see more Fred in there than Kennedy! :-) I wonder if it was intentional at all? Maybe the sculptor was trying to convey his own love for Fred? :-) After Orpheus, me and my friends kept hoping that somehow, someway, Fred and Willow would get together - despite Fred's assumed heterosexual-only orientation and being on different shows of course! They had more chemistry in their few short scenes than Willow and Kennedy had all season long! The only scene (singular) where I actually felt Willow and Kennedy seemed like they really went together was the one in Chosen where Kennedy and Willow share a tender moment the night before the big Uber-battle, where Kennedy says "If you haven't noticed, I'm kind of a brat!" or some such - anyway, that showed me that it *could* be a believable and even nice relationship with some work from the writers and toning Kennedy's character way down (as she was in that scene - not at all slamming Iyari's acting skills, but rather the way they instructed her to play her)). :-) Of course I love Tara and always think of her and Willow 2gether4ever <grin>, but Fred honestly seems to be in that same sort of quiet, sweet, nerdy girl mold that Willow came from. And heck, as far as we knew, Willow was straight for the first 3 and half seasons, so anything's possible. Hmm, this reminds me - what is the sitch with Willow and Kennedy in the Season 8 comics? Didn't she sort of brush off the question when someone asked where Kennedy was? I can't remember - I'll have to go back and re-read them (shucks!). :-) :-) :-)

Thanks for the suggestions, guys. I'll take a look and see exactly what the problem is, then decide how to fix it. I opened my White Witch Willow today. She's cool, but I really like the Chosen Willow better. She's got more going for her color-wise, I think, with the hair. The white hair on WWW I just don't think gives enough contrast with the shirt and pants, if that makes sense.

YAY! Kendra, Kennedy, and Chosen Willow arrived by FedEx today.
I'm just mad for Kendra and Kennedy. I wasn't too excited about Kennedy when I ordered her, but now that I have her, I agree that the likeness is MUCH better than in pictures. There's something really special and pretty about the head sculpt.
Kendra is so good that I want to get another one, so I can do customs of her two outfits.
I also really love the plastic they used for these. They feel different than the Buffy/Faith line. Don't smell as bad, either.
The Willow isn't as great as I'd hoped. There are little plastic lumps on the face, flaws in the paint apps, and the design on the shirt is all over the place. Lots of flaws.
But I love the other two more than I'd even imagined.

Great pictures, can someone please post pics of the whole seating styles of willow.
I doubt the figures are based in that scene when Hellmouth swallow all Sunnydale, Buffy is clean out of scars, i think the scene is before when they are walking in the hallway.
