I just got Kendra. He didn't have the Main assortment in, but he had two Kendras. I have a feeling I will be buying several of her to make customs out of. She only wore three different outfits, so I indend to make at least two customs for my personal collection. I also think her head might be good for a first Slayer Custom.
I'll post pictures later. I'm at work right now.

I got Kendra too... Altough I didn't see any of her on the shelf at the comic shop. Either they didn't get too many of her in or they sold out due to preorders.

She looks fantastic. I agree that she deserves two more variants. With only being 3 episodes if she would've gotten all 3 figures, she would've been the only character to have every appearance captured in figure form. I can't wait to see the customs for the other episodes, only thing is that you would have to change her hair to make it accurate.

I cannot wait to get mine, those pictures look great. I feel like, Halloween Willow's upper torso would make What's My Line Kendra even easier to do. I wish DST had done that variant.

Wow, I can't wait to get her! I need to join the BCC (though it may seem pointless now) and "preorder" that set of four. Then I can order some duplicates on that "buy a figure" day

Yay! This series is released! And Kendra looks amazing! I love her likeness, her hair, even the body on her looks great (even though its the female body for every deluxe figure lol.) And its great that she can hold all of the accessories well. I can't wait to get her! Thanks for posting the pics Jinxieman! I just don't see how DST can canel the line when they make figures as good as this. I just hope we get some more soon, and I pray that the deluxe line is still going. PLEASE DST!

Actually, she can only hold her accessories because of the little clear rubber band. Take that off and nothing will stay in her hands. They are both pretty useless, one's too open, the other a closed fist. but she is still a great figure.

Oh well, at least we can still make it work, even if we do need the rubber bands they come with.

I bought two Kendra's yesterday. I really love her, and I plan on customizing some arms for her, with open hands.
I want to use her fist for a Buffy!

Has any one had problems with stuck joints like in Michaels review? The only problem I've had is one of her bare arms doesn't stay in very good, ever time I move her arm it pops out. It's not a big deal though.

CowBoy Guy - great idea to swap the fist so Buffy has one and Kendra has an open hand that can hold things. I think I remember the early prototype pis of Buffy and Faith Dlx did have the "fist" on one hand - anyone remember this as well? I actually think it's a good feature for the fighters (not so much for Willow).
For the hands too open to hold anything, you can an extension of the "boil and pop" method...heat the hand with whichever method you prefer. Then, using a paper towel or something so you won't burn yourself, squeeze the open hand so its grip is more closed (I usually try to close it a tad bit more than it actually needs to be to hold items - this gives it some "give"). While holding it "closed", run it under cold water. After a good minute or two, you can release it. The hand should now be "molded" in the new position and thus able to hold items! :-) Holding it closed a little bit more than is needed allows it to hold smaller items as well as last a bit longer when changing weapons in and out several times. And if it reverts/strecthes to being too open again, simply repeat the process. :-)
I've used this procedure not only to fix non-gripping grip hands, but also for various other things. For example, I fixed all my Buffy's and Dawn's that had the obnoxious "pigeon toe" problem (which is to say all of them). :-) Now my Buffys can stand proudly on display and look more natural - no more "I gotta pee wicked bad!" poses! :-) I also have used it for figures with slanted or warped feet so they will now stand on their own (tho I also drill peg holes in their feet to use with stands like the earlier figures).
You can use it to straighten arms/legs molded in a crooked manner as well as crooking arms/legs that are too straight. :-) Also works on hair with too many or too few curls or weird styles. Great for weapons as well that may be bent out of shape (i.e. I used it on my Deluxe Spike's board that was totally warped out of the package, as well as the stand for the goblet which was also warped - though this was tricky to get it right (I eventually used several heating sessions and rolling it on a flat table top to get it straight as well as pushing end to end on the same flat surface to make sure the ends were flat as well).
And finally, heating the figures makes it MUCH easier to cut pieces of them for customizing as well as allowing the various parts to be "popped" out of their sockets when trading parts for custom figures. For example, when I customized my Cordelias to correct the absolutely irritating scale problems, it was much easier to cut the sections out of her thighs to make her legs shorter as heating them makes them soft and rubbery. Trying to cut through them at room temperature is *very* difficult and can result in a nasty wound (I once had to get 11 stiches in my left finger which I sliced deeply open when the pressure I was externing on a matte knify blade made it slip off the figure part and into my finger - the shock and speed also leading to me yanking the blade away immediately after penetrating which resulted in a huge "V" shaped slit and more blood that you can imagine! They thought I was going to need a specialist to reattach my flexors - luckily I had hit these though it was so deep that I apparently just missed them. Definitely be EXTREMELY careful when using sharp objects!!! :-)
Okay, sorry for the safety warning - got off track as usual! :-) Back to the figure mods - although I have never used it for such, you could probably use it to fix the arms on the Deluxes that fall out. In this case, you'll probably need to extend the main peg/or squeezing the nub on the end to make it wider and therefore more likely to be held by the walls of the socket. FOr extending the main peg, you could heat it and then use a pair of tweezers or some such to squeeze all around the peg (avoiding the nub/lug on the end) to lengthen it. Another option is to *gently* pull the peg while holding onto the arm to stretch it out longer (but again - be careful and cautious - you don't want to inadvertently pull the nub & peg off!!! :-)
Hope these tips (and painful experience) are useful to others! :-) I should maybe post this in the Custom section too, eh? :-)
