This week, the Hot Seat will be trying something a little different. Your beloved host (Yeah, right) won’t be here next week and instead of trying to organise the Hot Seat to be posted in my absence or miss out on an interview, I’ve decided to have two interviews spanning two weeks. It’s a daunting idea for our interviewees, but I’m sure they won’t mind. The first of our two contestants is Esc aka. Eva. Hadley has been singing her praises to me all week and so I couldn’t resist giving her a spin in the Hot Seat. She started collecting action figures before becoming a Buffy fan and has always kept an interest with them (but now only collects from Buffy/Angel lines). She loves collecting for the thrill of the hunt of a rare figure at retail price LOL. Everybody… I give you… Eva! ---------------------------------------------------------- 1) If you ran DST, what changes would you make in the Buffy/Angel lines? 2) Do you drink/smoke? 3) What’s your favourite dessert? 4) Do you want children? If so, how many? 5) What do you think has been the poorest piece of Buffy/Angel merchandise produced so far? 6) What’s your favorite Michael Jackson song? 7) Who would you say are your best friends on the forum? 8) Who was your favourite potential slayer? Who was your least? 9) Do you have any siblings? 10) What’s your favourite sport (to play)?

And I will continue to sing her praises.... because she's just so incredibly wonderful!! What is your favorite food? (Or dish or prepare?) What other shows do you enjoy besides Buffy and Angel? Have you had a favorite/funniest moment while being a member of BTVSfigs? Do you enjoy your job?? When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up?? What's your favorite color?? (cheesy... I know...) What do you think is the meaning of life? How do you respond to problems at work, or in life? Like... what are your instincts/plan of action. What is your favorite book? What book character would you compare yourself to? Is there anything you haven't done in your life that you'd still like to do? I'll be back with more Eva!!!

Second Evil asked 1) If you ran DST, what changes would you make in the Buffy/Angel lines?Thank you everyone for giving me a chance on the Hot Seat. I hope to entertain LOL! 1] I would like the figures to be able to hold/use all of the accessories it comes with. I have noticed that some of the earlier sculpts; the hands could not hold many of the items it came with. It is a balance of having accessories that go with the figure and making the hands universal enough to hold all of them or having just one hand hold accessories. 2) Do you drink/smoke?2] No, I don't drink or smoke. I don't drink because my stomach can not take it and I don't smoke because it is expensive! 3) What’s your favourite dessert?3] I do adore ice cream. Rocky road is an oldie but goodie 4) Do you want children? If so, how many?4] I would like to have one boy and one girl but if it doesn't turn out that way, I would be happy just having healthy children. 5) What do you think has been the poorest piece of Buffy/Angel merchandise produced so far?5] I think the stuff stake was a bit much. I understand they wanted to produce a stake which was affordable but this was a stretch for me. A plastic one would have been better. 6) What’s your favorite Michael Jackson song?6] Its a toss up between Rock with You and PYT. I like the earlier stuff, more of the electronic sound with the keyboards. 7) Who would you say are your best friends on the forum?7] This is a hard question... I would hate to embarrass myself by naming someone as a best friend and they not feel the same about me 8) Who was your favourite potential slayer? Who was your least?8] I have to say Amanda but it's a little unfair since she had an episode to herself. But she did have some funny moments. Of course I have to cheer for Cho-Anh since being a Chinese Slayer ;D I know people are going to be against me on this one but my least favorite was Kennedy. She pushed buttons just because she could. She needed to earn respect rather than expect it. 9) Do you have any siblings? 9] I have an older sister and an older brother. Since there was no other boy in the family, my brother introduced me to comic books, action figures, sci-fi, etc. It was he who got my first Buffy 6" and 12" figures. 10) What’s your favourite sport (to play)?10] My favorite sport to play is tennis. It's so technical and you still need strength and finesse to play tennis.

Justhad wrote And I will continue to sing her praises.... because she's just so incredibly wonderful!!Oh Hadley, you are the sweetest! 1. What is your favorite food? (Or dish or prepare?)1. I love my mother's tomato beef dish. It's stewed tomatoes, with slices of beef and scrambled eggs over rice. For my favorite none homemade dish, I love pesto pasta, simple but to die for. 2. What other shows do you enjoy besides Buffy and Angel?2. To be honest, once Buffy left the air, I was lost on what to watch. I kept up with Alias but when it moved from Sunday, I couldn't keep up. That was the same with Lost. I tend to go to sleep early, so anything showing after 9:30pm is a lost cause to me. I tend to catch up via DVD box sets. That was the only way I saw Sex and The City, I guess I can list that as a favorite show. I don't watch reality TV, I think reality TV is putting actors out of work. 3. Have you had a favorite/funniest moment while being a member of BTVSfigs?3. There are so many funniest moments from hanging out on the Tag board. I think the best times are there because anything and everything happens. I loved the time where we were singing karaoke on the Tag. Trust me, you had to be there to believe it 4. Do you enjoy your job?? 4. I love my job. Before this position, I had been working on gaining experience to be in that field. I get to use all types of skill sets in my current position: soft skills to talk and deal with people and my technical background to help design the process and testing for the science stuff of my job. 5. When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up??5. I think I wanted to grow up to be a chemist. Nerd much? But yeah, I did worse and became a biochemical engineer instead right out of school. 6. What's your favorite color?? (cheesy... I know...)6. You know this should be a simple question but it's a hard one for me because I never thought about it. I don't think I like one color. I purchase things based on what's looks best for the item. 7. What do you think is the meaning of life?7. I think the meaning of life is continuous learning. You learn what makes you mad, hate, love, laugh, etc. Each day is chance for you to learn how to feel the various emotions out there. 8. How do you respond to problems at work, or in life? Like... what are your instincts/plan of action.8. The thing I always try to do before reacting to anything is to understand what is going on, get the background story. Sometimes a few extra sentences could have saved a lot more trouble with something. I try to understand where the other person is coming from and why they are reacting that way. I think if everyone is given a chance to explain themselves and why they did the things they did, we can better understand each other. 9. What is your favorite book?9. I have to name a few: To Kill a Mocking Bird, The Devil Wears Prada, Catcher in the Rye 10. What book character would you compare yourself to?10. I can't name any of the top of my head but I'm the best friend to the main character type of the person, the supporting actor type. I like making others look good. It makes me happy making others shine and making them happy. 11. Is there anything you haven't done in your life that you'd still like to do? 11. I should travel and just relax. My vacations are usually working vacations where I am volunteering for stuff. I don't travel because I'm just too scared to try new things which is limiting me to learn more about people and places. I'll be back with more Eva!!!

Naturallybuffbuff wrote: Ooooh Eva In the Hotseat!!1) Wasn't SDCC Like Instant death on Saturday? Mike, I hope that you enjoyed something from SDCC. 1) SDCC Instant Death started on Thursday for us. As part of the programming staff, we always knew that lines would be crazy for Friday and Saturday for 2 rooms we run programs in: Ballroom 20 which is all of the TV shows go to promote their stuff and Hall H, where the movie stuff goes on. We had lines for the small panels in the small rooms and had people in lines everywhere! We never saw this before and I became a line control manager. I don't even want to know what happening in the dealer's room on Saturday. 2) Did you buy anything?2) ARGGGGHHHHHH! I was ready to buy 3 things: Primeval Buffy, Variant Deluxe Spike, and Variant Deluxe Angel. DST was the first booth I hit and they tell me no, we don't have those figures. So I figured there was nothing for me this con. Bless Maria/Girl Power for purchasing the entire Spike/Angel Deluxe line and selling me her variant set. BTW, I will posting a pic of the two of us soon I'm looking mighty run down in the pic too 3) Were people annoying you as much as they did me?3) LOL, no the people were not annoying me but attendees need to understand just because someone is 'working' for the Con, we are really just volunteers with no power. Actually, I take that back, we have the power to get yelled at by attendees. People have to understand we are there to help them get around and make sure the programs start on time and most important: keeping it safe for everyone.

Shannon asks: 1. Does your mother shop at Saks? 1. There's no Saks around us but she does like to go and look at Off the 5th which is the Saks outlet store.
2. What was the last movie you saw in theaters? 2. The last movie I saw was the Grudge. I hate going to theaters because people make too much noise for me. What I can't stand are people eating something loud like Whooper candy that comes in the box. That rolling sound in the box just gets to me. It's just too expensive for movies nowadays and to have to put up with people yelling at the screen. Theaters are just not my bag.
3. Have you ever farted in public and blamed someone else? 3. LOL, that's a good question but the answer is no. Now if you asked a co-worker or even my brother that same question, you will be getting the type of answer you had been looking for.
4. Whats your favorite soda? 4. Mountain Dew Code Red, it's the soda of the gods. It's amazing. It must have crack in it for me to be talking about it like this.
5. Do YOU shop at Saks? 5. No, I don't shop at Saks...too expensive. As you can see from my answers to various questions, I'm a bit of a cheapo.

What do you think of Miss Paris Hilton? I don't know what to say about her besides that she has made some bad choices in life. One thing that gets to me about her is how highly she thinks of herself. It's over the top.

SlayerLV asks: Who is your fave band & singer?Never really thought about this but I guess I would always buy CDs from Sarah McLachlan, Christina Aguilera, Coldplay, Michael Bublé, and Diana Krall. What is your fave song?Home by Michael Buble. I'm sure there's more but it's hard to really just nail down a few. Who is your fave actor & actress outside of the Buffyverse?Gotta love the new It girl Jessica Alba. Clive Owen and Hugh Jackman are my fav actors. What is your fave cartoon?Batman: The Animated, this is what really started that new design of drawing for cartoons that lead to Justice League Unlimited, The New Teen Titans, and The Batman. It had simple lines and basic shapes and I think the character designs looked better than the comic book do. Do you like X-Men (not the movies the comics)? If so who is your favorite mutant?I like Psylocke but I can't remember if she is dead or alive right now. That's one thing that always go me lost was all the deaths and bring them back alive. I did like Generation X and thought the characters were really cool especially Pennance/Penny but I lost track and don't know what happened to them now

Second Evil asked: 1) Would you rather have a had a week on the Hot Seat all to yourself, or a double Hot Seat lasting two weeks? This is a tough question because this is the first time we are seeing this happen. As long as people understand that there is 2 Hot Seats going, I think it will work out fine. It may look like Mike's is the current one since he has the higher number but I think people see that this thread is open too.
2) Would you ever like to go to Japan? Actually I have been to Japan and loved it! It's was tough because so few speak English and they really want tourist to follow their ways. The shopping there is great but expensive. I didn't bother with clothes shopping since I look more like a sumo wrestler.
3) What's your favorite board game? Gosh, it's been ages but I love trivia games!
4) I've recently been reading a book of short stories on China. Have you ever been to China, if so, when were you last there? I haven't been to China and I really should visit the homeland at least once in my life. My parents and sister go back every other year but the keep scaring me with their toilet stories. Yikes!
5) Would you rather go to a solely Buffy convention or a general action figure show? I can do a Buffy con. I had hope SlayerCon will come back to California but I do hear the tickets are rather pricey. I can do both actually.

Least favourite?Fav: Athena! as the Goddess of Wisdom, she's always seen as the good person; Least: I don't think I have one. All of the goddess stand for very good things. --Favourite Holiday? Least favourite?Fav: I would Christmas because everyone gets together even if you celebrate or not. Family, friends, and even at work get together for lunches and visits and such. I like it because it's a time that brings people together. Least: Being single I have say Valentine's Day. --Favourite Season? Least favourite?Where I live, we only have two: summer and winter so winter is my favorite because I like winter clothes better. I can't dress for the summer. --Favourite shade of orange? I wouldn't wear clothes in that color but I like it as a highlighter color or for post-it notes, or other nicknack things. --So you had to sacrifice a celebrity, to keep the sun in the sky and the lakes from drying up etc. Who would it be? Why?This is a good question! Star Jones. She doesn't have a job right now so is a way for people to always remember her by. --Favourite British actor? Least favourite?Fav: Clive Owen, have you seen the movie Closer. Yes he was hot in Sin City but he was so much hotter in Closer. Least: Mr. Bean, he's just so funny shaped. --Favourite British actress? Least favourite?Fav: Liz Hurley, she has done a great job moving from being a model to acting. Least: Helena Bonham Carter, she's just always looking for attention. --What number am I thinking now?You are thinking of the number 39. --What number are you thinking right now?3 --Favourite number? Least: Kidney, reminds me of swimming pools too much. --Buffyverse character that you wish actually DID get maimed by the demon of the week? Which Demon/episode?Riley Finn by the vampire he was selling his blood to in Into the Woods, serves him right for cheating on Buffy like that --What’s the weirdest name you’ve ever heard of? Bonny as a first name for a male. I'm use to Bonnie for a female's name. --Favourite word? Least Favourite?Fav: Bananas, I like the fruit and I use it as a curse word too in front of young ears. Second Evil asks: 1) What was the last CD you bought? I think it was Live at Stubb's by Matisyahu and the Walk the Line soundtrack.
2) If we had to see yet another line of figures containing either Angel or Spike, who would you say would be most deserving to get the extra figures? Spike or Angel? I think the general toy collector population would like a Spike. Some collectors only like villains and see Spike as a villain instead of a member of the Fang Gang or Scoobies. But as a collector, I think Angel because he could have more variations to him. I mean you can only do so much with a character that only wore black jeans and a black t-shirt.
3) If you were to donate to one charity, what would it be? Any charity that helps children out. They are the innocents of this world.
4) How much water do you drink a-day? I would say about 4-5 bottles a day. That's not enough, it should be about 8-9 bottles a day.
5) Do you get along well with your family? I get along with my immediate family really well. My poor brother moved to be closer to his mother-in-law and still has a hard time being away from the family. Aunts, uncles, and cousins, not so much because we rarely see each other.
6) What's the worst aspect a forum member could have? This goes for anyone, not just forum members, but being not letting others have their own opinions and judging others for no reason. It's their business, let them live their lives even you don't agree with it or not. No one has the right to call someone or someone's actions stupid, it's their business.
7) Do you like Janet Jackson? I wouldn't say I like her, but she's got a few songs I like. Her dance songs are always good.

Danman said: I'm confused, what is it you do for your job? Sorry for the confusion. I am a Quality Assurance Associate for a biotech company that makes personalized vaccines for cancer patients. I have to review all the work that goes into making someone's therapy to assure it is safe for the patient and that we followed all the rules that our company and the government has put into place for us making drugs. I used to work in the labs developing the process of creating the drug or testing the drug itself but now I've moved toward the safety and compliance end of a drug product.
