If you wanna make it super freaky then you could put Spike in vampire Willow's outfit

Plus, she's got a whip...come on, don't tell me you can't have fun with 5 twelve inch figures and a nice leather whip for some kinky fun. actually, thats a flogger (or cat-o-nine tails if you will), not a whip. but hey what does it matter cuz any way you like it, leather can be fun!

Oh my GOD! She’s horrible! What were they thinking? First Faith, not Vamp Willow…what happened to the amazing likeness they used to provide?

I'm starting to like the figure actually. From the beginning i liked the face, it was just the body I was unsure about. The legs still look really bad but i think it will be pretty good once its out.

Yeah, I agree. I was thinking about the 12 inchers in math class ('cause thinking about math would just be too weird) and I thought, "okay, I'll get Angel, Buffy, and Spike ... BUT what if they make Vamp Xander and he looks really cool, I'll need Willow to go with him, okay, I'll get Angel, Buffy, Spike, and Vamp Willow ... BUT then I'd have scoobies and no Faith to put with them ... I need them all!" And that is what I thought

yeah I will be getting all of them.
And remember, many barbie outfits will fit these...so you can always find better looking clothes for them later.

And remember, many barbie outfits will fit these...so you can always find better looking clothes for them later. I only have to wonder about the shoes. The old Sideshow Buffy's shoes were part of the doll. I should know because I swapped her clothes with my Barbie as Daphne (movie version) doll But I think the Sideshow man-dolls have removable shoes... I can't remember... I have Ash and Evil Ash from Army of Darkness...

I guess that second one is a more recent sculpt... they did say that the original one we saw wasn't the final version.

I hate the new one even more! The new sculpt looks more like Vamp Xander than Willow.

I'd just like to say a couple of things.
For the millionth time, it's a prototype. Prototypes from Sideshow seem to work differently than MAC, as major changes have already been made. With MAC, once we see the figure it generally stays the same.
The first Willow photo was nothing more than a glorified mockup. The new headsculpt is much, much, improved. Anyone who believes the MAC one is more show-accurate is seriously deluding themselves.
The body still looks really bad, but again it is a protoype and we've been told it will improve.
I'd also like to say that I really can't understand the bashing of the first three figures in a line. In my opinion, they are the best three versions of those characters ever produced. There are only two reasons I can think of for negative comments on this board in regards to the Buffy figure. The first is that people don't like the tied-up hair. The second, and more importantly, is that it seems that people are bashing it because they are trying to find a reason in their mind not to branch into another Buffy line which would happen if they bought it.
Now, I really don't want to be critical of the MAC figures. They're not my thing, but I respect that other people really like them. But I feel this forum is unfairly biased against Sideshow. Sure, I can see reason for criticising the latest two (but remember one is still a prototype), but it's hard to understand what people think is wrong with the first three.
This board really should be called the MAC fan club, as anything by another company is just torn apart. At the very least, instead of 'rofl, that is crap' I'd be interesting in seeing exactly why people dislike the figures, the first three in particular.

We can have opinions dude, if you dont like it tough, im sure you have opinions too. Anyway I love all the sideshow Buffy figures, already have my order in for all of them! Can't wait till they are released, espically Buffy, Angel, and Spike. And also i cant wait to see a final Vampire Willow, the new face is great, thers an upclose picture at www.sideshowtoy.com under the buffy section, looking schnazzy!

Most of us realize that now. When we originally saw the first picture on the sideshow website, it didn't mention that anywhere on the page that I remember. Now that's pure opinion. I happen to think that the MAC Willow is a better sculpt, so please don't tell me I'm deluded. I don't know if you were here when the first images of those figures showed up, but it seemed to me that most people here did and still do like the first 3 figures, especially the Spike figure. I'm not sure exactly where you're seeing bashing of those figures. I personally won't be buying all of the Sideshow figures mostly for the price.

ok, thanks for the post kakistos. good to see there are some decent people around here.
i apologise for the 'deluding' comment. i agree that that was just pure opinion, and it occured because i was a bit worked up. as it stands, i belive the mac figure better represents vampire willow - even if i don't personally think the headsculpt is as good as the new sideshow one, the overall figure - body, etc. - makes it superior than the current sideshow prototype, imo.
but as a fan of the sideshow figures, i'm hoping that i'll think that the final sideshow vamp willow will do as decent a job of capturing the character.
sideshow really should have said from the start that it was a prototype, but despite this people shouldn't simply say 'it's crap'. i believe they should say why they think it's crap. i was extremely disappointed when i first saw sideshow's vampire willow, but i still went to the effort (on a sideshow board), if breaking down exactly what i thought was wrong with it. something about constructive criticism just makes it so much more good to hear than pure criticisim.
i've only been visiting this board since vampire willow was revealed, but i have come across the odd post attacking the first three figures in the line.
anyway, i apologise for my attack on the mac figure, and i think fans of each line will appreciate it if people can post why they don't like something, rather than simply dragging it through mud.

Well I loved the first three figures! I don't remember anyone here saying that they hated them. I thought that they were universally praised when they were first released? I think the Spike one is superb!
