Wow...............it's horrible. The body needs to be wayyyy thicker, and the hair longer. It looks pretty bad so far though. She looks like an anorexic monster.

Wow...that kinda sucks. She looks really bad. They are definately getting worse...and Sideshow is screwing up with the two different versions...its one thing to offer extra accessories with the preorder but this is bull. I agree here. Why should a preorder come with a different item? They should just offer the accessories with the figures. It's not an actual figure variant. Plus the figure is not due until August. Didn't we all learn this the hard way? They haven't even released the first Angel and Buffy figures yet.

One more thing:
Does the "sideshow exclusive" come with all the regular stuff PLUS the Amy etc... items or just what's listed?
Also doesn't "Sideshow Exclusive" sound dumb since they're the ones making it?

that "thing" (i can't even acknowledge it as willow) is hideous. the face is way worse than off. the skin tone of the head doesn't match the body. the body is way to skinny. vamp willow had some serious curves goin in her leather outfit! and the outfit isn't right. the inside of the sleeves should be golden or something. I think the problem with the body is that Sideshow uses a stock body for all their figures, male and female. This is the same body used for Buffy, Faith, Jinx from Bond etc... Because of this they cannot adjust the size of the figure to fit a certain character that should be smaller or fatter. They are all the same. The only thing they change for the stock bodies is of course the head they place on it and the dresses and sometimes the hands. But these are stock bodies. I read an article on them once. Will try and find it. actionfigures.about.com/library/tf01/bltf01-sideshow-body.htm

That figure is awful!
The outfit is way too baggy.
Also, they need to pose these figures better. Willow shouldn't have her costume twisted because it makes it look bad. Actually, it looks bad because it is bad, but it makes it look worse.
Also, that doesn't look like her. Is smiling, sexy Vamp Willow not a good look? This just looks horrible.
I'm only buying Anya, and if she ends up looking like Willow or Faith, I won't even buy her. Sideshow, step up. Your line is going to fail unless your sculpts improve a lot. Buffy, Angel and Spike were great. You can do it. So do it.

Ehh. I am going to pass on this one. The face isn't right at all, and her body is way to skinny.

Personally, I have a strong dislike for M.A.C.s figures. The Willow line is definitely leagues ahead of the preceding ones, but it still looks like it's based on Buffy: The Animated Series, series five Willow in particular.
Sideshow will be the first Buffy figures I own. The first three, as most agree, are fantastic. Despite the poor likeness, I still think that Faith is a decent figure.
But there is no way I'm defending that hideous Vampire Willow. It's nothing short of terrible. I think the head sculpt is good, but everything else about it is shocking. The head doesn't sit right on the neck, the clothes don't sit right on the body, the costume isn't entirely show-accurate, etc. I seriously hope that it will undego serious revisions and refinements, because as it stands I'm finding it hard to convince myself to buy it. And judging my responses, many people are equally unconvinced.
I love Vamp Willow, human-faced in particular. So it looks like I'll be going with Doppelgangland which I admit looks quite cool, despite my lack of fondness for MAC. It is in a whole different league - even ballgame - to Sideshow's representation.
BTVSKID4, I don't know what show you were watching but I thought Vampire Willow had anything but pronounced curves, even compared to what Willow normally looks like. So I can't say I'm disappointed with how that in particular transferred across to the figure.
Obviously most people here are fans of Moore's line, and whilst it doesn't do anything for me, I totally respect the fact that it works for others. But it really sucks to be sooo disappointed in the line I was amazed with.
Sideshow's Vampire Willow is nothing short of hideous, which is more of a shame than it would otherwise be because I absolutely adored that version of the character. One other reason why I'm so disappointed is the fact that I want to own Sideshow's version. I love the company, and the vast majority of ther work. But even 'want' is not enough when we are presented with a figure such as this, and an alternative which is so superior.

LOL! it looks so funny!
1) The body looks Anerexic (Spelling?) 2) The Hair looks like it has had 1000kg of hair gel dumped on it 3) The outfit is too big 4) The neck is that of a girafe
Better than faith... but thats because of the face sculpt (not including hair)

Oh god, they either need a better portrait sculptor up there, or they need to start paying out the extra to get a scan done!
I bet they thought that if they did vamp willow in gameface that they need not worry about the likeness as much, being all grrr and all, but no, it doesn't work does it?
The costume is the least of their problems though. Unfortunately it really just shows up the fact that they're using a stock body in these photo's and as others have said it just doesn't look right.
I would have preferred a vamp Willow in human face, but apparently they're not up to that. Pity.

BTVSKID4, I don't know what show you were watching but I thought Vampire Willow had anything but pronounced curves, even compared to what Willow normally looks like. actually its btvskid3, but whatever, that doesn't matter. vamp willow is curvy if only because she's wearing a corset like top which is shaping her upper body. and willow does have a nice butt. the 12" figure doesn't have any of that (as someone has pointed out, its cuz of a stock body). sideshow has failed to excite me to spend my money on their newest idea.

I'm not gonna comment on the figure itself, everyone seems to have that covered and I agree with all the comments.
I wanted to comment on the choice of Vampire Willow.
Sideshow knows what MAC is doing with the 6 upcoming Willows so I don't understand why they chose this figure. Are we not getting our Willow fill at this time?
If they were determined to do a Willow figure they should have done a regular cute Willow or even Ghost Willow from that Halloween episode. We are getting our Vampire Willow fix from MAC, twice.
They should have given us something we're not getting from MAC. Can you imagine if they did a "Once More, With Feeling Willow"? That would have been soooo cool and it is something we've all been asking for.
I hope they simply don't repeat MAC in the future and do their own thing instead. The head sculpts are another matter that they need to work on.
Also the same article I read stated that the next figures will be probably be Giles and Xander.

I found a forum for Sideshow figures and they are commenting on the Willow figure along with other Buffy figures. It's a cool read. Sideshow Brant is also a member of that forum so it may help to post some comments there too. He was there yesterday and wrote this. "Hey all, I want to assure you, this is a work in progress... by no means the final product. These images are from the first version of the prototype - it's already changed considerably since these photos were taken. We are still in the process of revising the portrait (and the sculptor is amazing - you'll be pleased when you see the final version). Generally, we don't release images so early in the product cycle - but it's Toy Fair time! Stay tuned for more..." Brand said a whole new Willow figure. "just a whole separate Willow figure" Maybe they'll be a human head too.
