Everybody preorder! We did that already and it didn't work! We preordered the last time over a year in advance and nothing happened.

Preordering is a joke. Just make the figures and get them out to actual retail outlets (KB, Toys R Us, etc.) and then they WILL have sales.
MAC needs to get their head out of their ass. Not everyone can/will/wants to preorder.....

As soon as I can preorder the figures...
I wish they would go by actual orders instead of preorders... give the willows a month or something to sell, and then see if it's worth making the rest of the figures.

I, for once, want to preorder some of the figures but I don’t want to preorder them from MAC because paying 25$ for shipping is a little bit too much for me. And for some reason the other retailers (that actually have normal oversea shipping rates) don’t offer the figures for preorder because they won’t preorder the figures from MAC…not until it MAC officially announce it. So where’s the logic behind this? What is MAC waiting for? I think MAC should really think this through (down to the last detail) and do everything properly. Otherwise, one stupid mistake and we won’t get the figure…again.

So far MAC has not officially announced ANYTHING. There's been no press release or any changes to the site. Personal e-mails from Donna are not official announcements, it's a cool way to dodge anything official but kinda chessy. (I know, their webmaster is STILL on vacation, or maybe has SARS, or a computer virus or...) I know everyone says they announced this at the Comic Con show, but I haven't heard anything official. Still waiting for something...

Lior Knight and Rileyfan have said it well. I preordered from MAC the FIRST time and was burned. There's an old saying, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." It will take something concrete and written in stone before I trust MAC again. Even now it seems they are just 'playing' us.

I need to add someting:
Why are you so afraid to preorder? The only thing you CAN preorder is Dark Willow and it's not going to be cancelled again because Cinequest is paying for production and I have gotten word from Cinequest that the whole point of them doing all this is because there is a 100% garuntee that it's being released. Now, even in the unlikely event that it is cancelled again (which it's not), you would get all your money back. So what are you worried about? It's not hurting anyone in any way to preorder. If that's waht it takes to get more, then preorder Dark Willow and prove that we want the others also.

Flobbo, you might count SDCC announcement as official but most of the retailers don’t make the figures available to preorder until MAC post the press release. Also, if it is official why won’t MAC add the figure to their online store? They’ve added the Faith statue in a heartbeat, so what’s the problem with adding Willow?
As for not preordering, I don’t know why rest of the people don’t want to preorder. But I don’t like preordering because I have no idea what might be my economic status whenever they would be released. Everyday something might happen that will force me to slow down with the spending. So I just prefer buying stuff when I can afford.
However, in this case I am willing to preorder it, but I can’t ‘cause except for Cinequest there are no retailers to buy from, and Cinequest charging too much (20$ for oversea shipping perhaps cheaper than MAC but still to much for my pocket…especially when stores like The Toy Depot and My Pop Store charge only 10$).

I think that the disscussions about the other figures is effecting the Dark willow figure. Perhaps cinequest is in talks to possibly co-produce another figure with moore or moore doesn't want to post anything until all the figure disscussions are complete. Who knows, only time will tell.

I'm playing the "devil's advocate," I guess... I think the site hasn't been updated because they're away at the Chicago Wizard World con. In the few weeks between this and the SDCC, they were probably filling orders and didn't have time to mess with the site (easy as it would be, one would think). I got my Ikon Buffy and Spike figures (those recent "warehouse finds") in this time bewteen the cons... who knows... hopefully after this weekend they'll be updating.

It does NOT cost 20 bucks to ship there. If you read on their site, they say that their shipping calculator is NOT working, and that the actual cost of shipping will be calculted when they recieve the order and it's charged.

nm Also, if it is official why won’t MAC add the figure to their online store? They’ve added the Faith statue in a heartbeat, so what’s the problem with adding Willow? If I recall, Willow is a Cinequest and MAC members exclusive. The faith statue is available to nonmembers. Dark Willow will be added I'm sure once the member's section is updated. Faith was just added to the regular site. That's just my theory, but they could also be waiting for pics of Willow's base etc. There are quite a few logical reasons why she's not up yet
