Well the movie Underworld comes out Friday. It looks like it may be good. I think I'm going to go see it. Looks like Vampires meet the Matrix. I figure it will either be really good or really bad. Just curious if anyone else plans on seeing it.

I really want to see it. It's like vamps vs. werewolves, and a vamp falls in love...with a werewolfe. I bet it will be really bad, but the action looks awaome (wiill hold me over until next matrix). My Mom's co-worker actually works as a production assistant, and I heard she thinks Kate Beckensale is a biatch...not surprisingly.
AND does anyone esle see the totall rip-offishness from the birds of prey promo poster?

Haha glad someone else noticed the BoP poster! First time I saw it I thought that's what it was haha! But I am really looking forward to this film, I've watched tyhe trailer quite a few times and it looks really cool, and the figures are cool too And it actually gets released here in sunny england the same day as the US, which is quite unusual unless with "big" films

Yeah, I plan on seeing it. It seems to be my kind of movie. I really hope it doesn't have a lame storyline or a dumb ending.

It's basically a Romeo and Juliet story with Vampires and Werewolves instead of Capulets and Monteques (sp)

I just hope it does something new...and doesn't end up being completely derivative.
Its clear the impact that films like The Crow, Matrix, and reaching back a bit... Bladerunner, have seriously changed the aesthetic of most modern, sci-fi horror, and action films. (think Blade, Dark City, I will never look at wet leather the same way. I will always think of trinity and black eyeshadow will always make me think of Darryl Hannah. But i am the first to admit that I find that look highly seductive. I adore it and cannot get enough of it. But I am still waiting for the next film visual that will become the next 'new look' for the sci-fi/horror edgy film. (Like Firefly tv series for example...it did great things with future costumes much in the same way star wars did).

I saw it and liked it. No humor. No Romeo and Juliet romance. It was more of a action movie with a goth twist. I spent $9.00 on it and for the first time in a while, didn't feel ripped off.

Movie started off very thin plot wise but I think it pays off in the end.
Some of the actors were too cartoony but it was cool. It's worth seeing.
Paid $9.50 in NYC, arrrghhhhhhhhhh

ugh. tried going to see this yesterday with some friends, but were only 16, so bought a ticket for out of time, and went into underworld. something we do pretty often, but for some reason they decided to count the number of people going in, so they made us go watch out of time. ill just wait to rent it on dvd
