Awesome! I wish I lived on the west coast so that I could visit places like these. Did you all get to see the Hyperion? I just added more pictures of the Hyperion garden patio. We tried to go to the place with the Hyperion interiors, but it had been torn down! Just an empty lot with the Ambassador sign partially destroyed.

Apparently, the Charmed show never once went to San Francisco to film. All the opening shots of San Francisco were stock footage, some dating as far back as from the Streets of San Francisco in the 70s! Geez, i didn't know the footage was that old! Cheapskates! I wish they'd filmed on location, even if it was only every now and then (i think 'party of 5' used to do that- shoot in LA and also go to san francisco for some exterior stuff). And the hyperion! Woo-hoo.

Hyperion photos are wicked....and haha....I guess you bought that t shirt after all BF....'Id get lost with sawyer'....very funny. Yes, i had to have it! My turn to post on this great field trip we took on sunday! It was just great seeing Eva and Maria again! They picked me up at my house where we hung out for maybe 30 minutes, and they surprised me singing Happy Birthday ( Since my birthday is on Jan 31st) and with a bag of presents! I wasn't expected that at all! I got a very sweet Birthday card, and a great Animated Buffy made by Eva, Wood! and Maria brought me Cap'n'Jack Sparrow on a silver platter (Ok, it's a figure, not Johnny Depp, so what?!? ;D) We took off then to start our tour, and started with Angelus Mansion ( locate din Los Feliz, near Hollywood Hills), which is an amazing building, based on Mayan and Incan architecture, that's why it has this very special look! We then went to the Halliwell victorian home, which doesn't do really anything for me since I don't watch Charmed, but was more than happy to go back there with the ladies. After that, the Hyperion courtyard ( Los Altos Apartments and Hotel) was such an oasis of serenity, followed by the cemetary, which was very overwhelming size-wise...we walked a bit, but used Maria's car as well... Then we drove all the way to Culver City where the Wolfram and Hart building exterior is ( Sony whatever, that's the real name of the building) and had lunch. We went then to this Toy and Collectibles store...I was hoping to find Buffy/Angel action figures at a good price, but they were all priced from $20 to $25...Not worth it...I recommand that store though to anyone who'd venture around because they have tons and tons of stuff! I am very content about the mini lunchbox bubblegum though We ended our tour in torrance where Sunnydale High and Buffy's house are located...My heart was beating so fast when we pulled over by the Highschool: It was to me, the best part! It is such a landmark of Buffy's universe! Poor Maria knocked her head on a concrete bench trying to take some pics! It was unfortunately too dark when we arrived in front of the " Summers' residence", and a cat ( Not the stinky dead thing Buffy and Joyce buried in the yard) was hangin' there, across from their house...Maria, such a petlover was petting him, while Eva and I were still trying to get some good pics of the house. We left for Hollywood and had dinner a couple hours later, before Maria and Eva left. I had a wonderful "journey" and hope we can do that again.

Those are some cool pics. If I'm ever in L.A. again, I need to get the addresses of those places so I can go visit them as well.

Well, it was obvious that we weren't going to get any better pics of th ehouse. And that cat was all skin and bones. I felt awful for it! I was worried it was sick or starving, but I found out from the owner that the cat was 18 years old, so that explained it's sickly body, poor baby. I'm all about the animal love.

I forgot to mention that Arno took us to an awesome action figure store in LA with an incredible assortment of figures. Where was this? (Must find...) I've got a bunch of BtVS/AtS location shots as well. Should I add them to this thread or start another?

What was really nice is they sell loose figures, that really keeps cost for customizers down. I was able to bargain with the guy to get a discount on my and Arno's purchases ;D Sure, go ahead and add your pictures. It will be great to see more!

I remember seeing a Miss Piggy. They probably had more Muppets than that. You should call them and ask. They have an amazing selection of figures, stuff I've never seen in brick and mortar stores before.

Oh, Big Lou's the one at Sepulveda and Sawtelle, isn't it? Yeah, I've been meaning to check that one out, but I keep forgetting. As for photos, I might as well do this in spurts, location by location. When in doubt, start with Sunnydale High School. Don't remember if this was ever seen on the show, but there used to be an auditorium that matched the Spanish Revival entrance to the high school, but it was destroyed in the Long Beach earthquake back in the 1920s and was replaced by this art deco building. The REAL library. And the last batch I'm uploading today, Doublemeat Palace. The exteriors were filmed at Hot Diggity Dog in West LA, at Sepulveda and Palms, although the interior has never looked ANYTHING like what was seen on the show. Here's what it looked like at the time of filming (2002), with its actual signage: And here's what it looks like now, with a new color scheme now that it's a coffee house. I also have photos of Buffy's house, Angel's Crawford Street mansion, the Hyperion Hotel, the Paramount Studios entrance, the Stewart St. BtVS studios (including Sunnydale Main Street), Sunnydale Park carousel, Sunnydale train station, UC Sunnydale, Wolfram & Hart, Season 5 Wolfram & Hart, and probably more.

I'm so jealous that you got into the campus. How did you? When we were there on a Sunday it was locked up and the interior courtyard was behind a high fence.
What Hyperion location did you go to? Where was it?
I love that you have Spike in the pictures. How come you aren't in any of them?

I'm so jealous that you got into the campus. How did you? When we were there on a Sunday it was locked up and the interior courtyard was behind a high fence. I think it was a Saturday, and I happened to notice a gate open off of the rear parking lot, cars in the lot, and the marching band on campus tuning up. So I just parked and walked in, and tried to look like I was on official business as I walked right past the band and onto campus. Just the Los Altos exteriors on Wilshire. And technically, the Paramount Studios shot, since most of the interiors were filmed in a soundstage on that lot, although you're right that they did some filming at the historic Ambassador Hotel as well, but that's been closed off to anything but film crews since it closed around 15 years ago, and was bulldozed this year. Sigh. Because I'm *behind* the camera.
