Hey All Im making a figure, to pass the time till i can start my commissions. so i had this matrix figure laying around. i brought it about 9 months ago for this figure and then put it away some where and i found it the other day. So, i thought, why the hell not? A deluxe buffy head looked really small on the body though, but the legs were needed for the pose and to attach to the base. so i cut the torso off and attached a deluxe torso, i measured the deluxe legs upto the matrix legs and they were fine in size, SO. I cut the coat and then resculpted the top part. Im trying to get some barrels and she will have a scythe....duh! Id love to know what you think. Wayne

This is an amazing idea! I love it. The only barrels I can think of for that size is the one comes with the LOTR birthday Bilbo Baggins. Very creative.

That's a really original use of a figure, and made me laugh. I look forward to seeing her finished.
Bilbo does indeed come with a barrel. Pet stores might have them for aquarium stands as well...

Hey All, Ive updated Buffy. ive sculpted her hair, giving it a little movement to go with the pose. im very happy with my sculpt on the jeans bottom, so im not gonna change that. i will hopefully paint her tonight! o yeah i forgot to mention, the reason her top is all gathered is due to her doing some serious flippage on the wall What do you guys think now? wayne

WOW!! Wayne, this figure is seriously kick ass! Not just in the sculpting but the whole concept! This is such a good use of that Matrix figure. I adore the sculpting on her top and the collar of her jacket. It's amazing how well Trinity's body works for Buffy. This is going to be so incredible once painted. I await with baited breath to see it completed!

Did she actually do this kind of move int he episode or did you just decide to use the matrix body because it would look cool...which is bloody well does! Although, one complaint would be that I think her hair could do with some more movement, for example the fornt bits of her fringe would most probably be hanging down, not flattened on her head. Again, like I said I dont remember the moment or the outfit it is based on but it looks wicked!

ive painted buffy now. im pleased with the likeness but now i have to do the pin stripes on her trousers her top is black with a sheer white but it doesnt really show in the pics i know her hair should be more messy due to her jumping but it looked strange, the ponytail part is moving around though ill try and get some better pics tomorrow what do you guys think? wayne

That's great work. I love how accurate you are to her outfit and with her hair being 'not perfect' from fighting.

Great idea! At first, i didn't like the pose and it looked like the base had just been tipped to the side, but the finished figure is beautiful! Well Done!

She is The One.
Er, sorry. Couldn't resist.
She's worked really well. The coat sculpt looks seamless and the parts fit together very well - it looks like an actual statuette.

Hey All, thanks for the comments. Here are some new pictures. i took some with the flash on and some without the flash on. im going to add a little bit of black to the side of her eyes to add a little bit more shape (and i also have to use white to clear a few parts of her iris' up too) but im happy so far. She hasnt been sealed yet! ;D You can see that she has lots of tones in her hair (non metallic) I have to add pin stripes to her trousers and im gonna paint the base a little and sculpt a barrel. Oh Yeah, im also going to use dry brushing to add some lighter and darker tones in her coat What do you all think now? Wayne

thanks christina yeah her eyes do look large, especially in these pics, but i will fix them when i get home tonight. i think they are too bright, so i might dull them down a bit too. i think its the black, i dont think theres enough around the sides of her eyes wayne
