BST AXN previewing 1/15th (5") scale figures of Buffy and Angel as part of their forthcoming figure launch, due in April: details here with these unpainted prototype photos. And renders of how they should look painted: Very nice to see, though a new scale for the Buffyverse.

These are out now and the reviews are... mixed. With Buffy I've seen complaints about the likeness - apparently they don't have rights, so went with a sorta-kinda resemblance. Angel has the likeness issues too, as well as comments about how his arms are positioned. And the biggest knock I've seen is that they're not to scale with each other. In fact, Buffy is taller! Photos on The Fwoosh forums, including a 6" Angel for size comparison on the next page. Oh well.

I was out to the city in Richmond, VA. Had to hit 2 targets to find the set. One location had a single buffy. The second one had buffy and angel. Picked up the pair for abound $17 each. Really don't recommend buying online if not around that price.
The figures themselves are basic. Great hype to have something new buffy wise. Please know that the scale size is different from DST/MAC and oddly enough both buffy and angel share the same height. I think it's the hair on buffy because of the volume.
I didn't care too much for this version of buffy unless it was released with a faith to go as a set or do angel is his on respective series box. It really doesn't make any sense direction wise where the company wanted to go with this product. Buffy comes with a scythe from season 7, clothing from season 3, box art from season 3-4.
Likeness is rather a gameverse of each character. Remember the buffy Xbox and PS2 games. Kind of like that. Angels lips are um Twilight Edward red. And if I pulled just the figure out and put in a Twilight box, I maybe could pull one on someone.
31 points of articulation each... So you guys n gals out there that wanted that well there you go. Just like marvel legends. Right down to the shoulders funky look and the double knees.
Hope you guys out there find it, love it and see what the statues look like when they drop.
