Hey everyone! So I haven't made any Jossverse figures in years! Like it's been forever. But I was contacted by my amazing friend msperoxideluv She asked me if I would be interested in making her Dru and Darla from the Boxer Rebellion scene. So one thing lead to another, and I ended up making the whole set! It took about two months, I think. msperoxideluv supplied me with all the pieces! I started off with Dru. It felt like she was the most fun and least about of work. I used the human face Drusilla figure, I used apoxy sculpt to re-do her hair and jacket details. I used MsBig's as a reference (Hope you don't mind Sasha ) The painting for this one was a lot of fun, I love clothing details. Next I worked on Darla. This one required more modifications. For her top half I used Darla from Angel season two, and for the bottom half I used Tara's body. I then re-sculpted her dress and hair, and added a little feather to her hat. Then I worked on Spike. I think the figures was the human face Mac Spike. Don't quote me on that though. I re-sculpted his hair, and some details on his jacket. I repainted him and used some soft pastels to shade his face. Last I had Angel. Angel was the most work I feel like. I used a Mac Angel figure I think. I'm not good with toy names. But I made his jacket out of real fabric, then covered it with apoxy glue. When it hardened, it became like a plastic. Then I fixed some details with some apoxy sculpt. This was a new concept I came up with to create plastic, and surprisingly it worked! After a lot of trial and error I fixed his hair and details.
Hope you guys like them! I've been so excited to share them with you guys!
So there we go! Doing this project has reminded me how much I love making Buffy related stuff! So Thank you Sharron! I'm open to commissions if anyone is interested.
If Anyone is interested in seeing how I made Drusilla check out this video here!
