Well here is my first big set of the year, a commission where the buyer requested a 3 figure custom showing the key moments from the final battle of the series all in one set. Once I found something that would work as the building it was quite straight forward but getting the action poses right was the hardest part. Parts used: Base - Ghostbusters playset, one side taken off and bottom section removed. Then sections of balsa wood added to roof top and sides, plastic added and sanded for windows, blind fitted behind one window and lights. The Sun sign was made from balsa wood and wire, the rocks from polysterene with added mastic to seal cracks and blend them together. Then completely re-painted. Buffy's - Prom head cast, legs from Heroes Nikki, Elle Driver and Texas Erin, all were shaved, sanded and re-sculpted to get the positioning just right.Torso from dst figures, sculpted and real lace for under shirt, jackets made from various sections of dst/neca jackets and re-sculpted. Hair, neck, sleeves, trouser bottoms etc all sculpted and then painted. I'm very pleased with the finished results, hope you guys like it too!

Oh my Gosh!
What a freaking awesome set! This is just brilliant, love how the building turns to the hellmouth on the bottom. The stone effect looks perfect and so real, unbeliveable! Great painting, love the lights!
Those Buffys look gorgeous, all of their poses are so very dynamic and natural looking! Perfect use of parts here, great sculpting and painting as usual. Love how the first evil is kneeling down, love how stabbed Buffy is trying to get up and LOVE the running Buffy on top, her blowy hair and jacket are spot on! I honestly cant pick out a favorite of those 3.
So very well done, and a great start into the new year! Cant wait to see with what your comming up next!

I love the Sun Cinema base! You did a great neon-like effect with the little LED light. All the Buffy figures look great too, and I'm especially fond of building-leaping Buffy!

Love this set ..the base is my favorite part. Love how it fades from the building to the hellmouth. Very awesome transition!! My favorite buffy is the jumping buffy, I think you got her expression and pose spot on !! Very well done. I'm sure whoever the buyer is ..wink wink..will be very happy Will you be taking commissions again soon?

Very creative set ! I really like the way you turn the first scene on the top of the building to the second scene in the hellmouth. Wish we could see some "in progress" pictures 'cos it must have been a lots of hours of work. The poses are very well done, especially on Buffy "The First" 'cos it looks natural and I guess it wasn't easy to make. Great job ! It's always a pleasure to see your work

Thank you for the lovely feedback, it's really important to me what the members of this forum think. I guess I was lucky to have found the Ghostbusters building to begin with. It was fairly pricey originally, about £30 on Ebay, but has been used so many times now it was more than worth it and still some remaining sections to go! By the way, don't try and stick polystyrene with super glue. I got lazy , tried to stick back a piece that had lifted off the base and nearly passed out from the fumes!!!! ( maybe we could use a health and safety thread, or it's probably just me!!) Anyway, I am available to take commissions but just a heads up that I will only be able to start work end of March for 2 weeks only so turnaround might be slow ( school holidays .) Thanks guys !

What a fantastic set Sarah!!! I bet your buyer LOVES it I think my favourite Buffy is the running Buffy! Her pose is great and I love the paint job/sculpt etc. she just looks amaaazing By the way, what do you usually use/do to get your figures to stand? Do you use something similar to the factory made figures and have something that sticks into their feet?? I just wondered as I need some tips on this as mine always fall over Anyway, back to the set... this is another one of my favourites from you I agree with everyone else, I love how the base transforms from the building into the hellmouth! It's a really great idea!!! Also loving your sun cinema sign... such little additions like the sun sign can really make a piece complete I think!! Nice work!

Thanks Roadie! Most of the time I use pins for stability if the figure is running, kicking etc and just nail them through the base and into a hole I've made in the foot. If you heat a nail up on a kitchen gas ring it will melt into the plastic foot really easily and almost fuse itself in there if you decide to have the pin coming from the figure instead of the base. Both ways work well. Good luck!

Well this is a truly piece of art, the details, the likeness, the effort, because this is a big project, and you nailed, really one of my favorites custom artist, because like Mango, you put a lot of art in your creations. Too bad Diamond won't use the Prom Buffy head in all Buffy figures.
