Can you provide a picture of the actor/actress, a similar model photo of the hair type you wish to do, or a screen cap picture of the movie or series it is from?
I think you might wanna keep it hush, hush until it's unveiling so something similar will do.
But to get a good idea, Let's say you wanted to do Black Widow from the Avengers movie. I would start out by covering any lump surfaces. After that apply a thin layer of sculpt does not have to be smooth. Define the hair line from front to side and make sure it's nice and even. At the hair line you can make slight ridges to get the base texture from head to hair - this can be accomplished with a sharp knife with a thin blade; push lightly and not to hard to avoid sculpt missing up. Finally in order to the curles it would probably be best to single strands and apply them to the head one at a time. Use your sculpting knife to create hair lines. If I remember correctly you didn't like the articulation so if there's dreads it shouldn't be a problem. Hope this helps, you might wanna ask smiler, jess or Sasha for their input as well. I think generally they may refer to the toothpick and applying the curles that way.

Thanks! This helps I've started to do the hair and I think the only reason I'm not too pleased with the hair is it looks a little 'big' as the original figure I used had sort of spikey hair that was hard to get rid of But I suppose I'll just have to keep learning from my mistakes I'll be painting later so hopefully some pictures will be put up maybe tonight or tomorrow Thanks for your help!! x

How's it going road? Here's some inspiration - not that I sculpted the hair personally but more for a shape and size for an idea.
