Hi. I recently aquired a Spike bust that I'd like to make a mould and casts from but am not sure the best way to do this. I would like to add sculpey and be able to boil and paint casts made so need a casting material that would survive this process. Also what works best for the mould and should i dip the bust into it or paint it on? Any advice would be wonderful because i am nervous about spending a lot of money on the wrong products and don't want to ruin the original at the same time!! Thanks so much for any help! x

I'm not gonna be to much help on this one smiler...
I know what your asking, but to get the right material and know how to do it is completely different. Can even begin to tell you what to use, modeling clay for the cast?
I do know if you want to preserve the original bust you may want to use a plastic wrap. One thing is before you start with the big bust you may wanna try it out on those lil ornaments and see how you do with that. Then you'll only destroy a small less costly item, then the costly big one.
