Hi Guys, I need to make a custom figure of my friend's son. He's in the US Marines and shipping out to Afghanistan soon. I'm struggling to find a likeness. FaceHe's got a really sweet face. I was thinking there might be a match with a sports star, or even a cartoon-y character. I don't mind whether he's smiling or serious and I can add the chin dimple, if necessary. Can anyone think of a good base for his head? Any scale, 5", 6", or 7". FigureDoes anyone know of figures wearing this type of formal uniform (the dark one)? If not, I can sculpt the uniform from scratch. HatI'm also looking for a hat like this. I suck at sculpting hats, so I might need to leave it off, if I can't find one to use.

That's a tough one. The first thought that came to mind for the non-smiling photo was Chosen Giles. It has similiar facial structure. The chin would probably need a little adjusting though.
I can't help you with the hat or body though. Did you check the Stargate figure line for the hat? I can't recall any figures with the hat, but you never know. Maybe for the body you could modify a blue uniform Battlestar Galactica body?

Perhaps one of the cartoon Ghostbusters figures for the likeness, or sometimes with the Mcfarlane sports figures there is a nice variety of looks you might be able to adapt to suit?
