Boiling the wooden base with clay?

I want to add some clay to the wooden base that comes with some Buffy figs. Would that be okay to boil or would it warp or something?

I think it's a matter of trial and error when boiling bases. I've had some warp horribly and others come out just fine. I don't know the secret, sorry - wish I could help more. Maybe you could try with hot rather than boiling water, and also some plastics are softer than others.The Buffy floorboard bases seem to be made of an acrylic mix plastic, so you might be ok. I suggest you experiment on another base first to see what happens before you add the sculpey. X

I chickened out and just painted it, hoping that if I used enough paint it wouldn't look like wood. But nope, not working. Maybe she can be baseless...
