I just rewatched "Welcome to the Hellmouth" last night and I guess I never noticed at the beginning when buffy is having her nightmares that all of the nightmares are clips from the episodes throughout season 1. I guess I always just thought she was seeing the master in her dreams. Did anyone else notice this? If these were her dreams, why didn't she recognize any of it through out season 1?

Maybe she did recognize them.
Or maybe those dreams were like most dreams; Stuff you forget when you wake up.
You dream all night, but only remember a few.

Maybe she realised but didnt mention any of it? Or it was accidental that they forgot to write Buffy to mention it? Or the clips were just for us? LOL, but I didnt notice either ;D

The fact that in the harsh light of day, when you wake up, you forget your dreams once the adrenaline has subsided in the case of scary dreams.

Yes, I noticed it. Because they finished filming the season before it even aired, Joss was able to add clips from the finale in the first episode. I thought it was great and can't think of another series that has ever done the same.
