I enjoyed the Sookie Stackhouse series so much that I'm re-reading all 9 books! I also read the Harper Connelly set by the same author. Good but not so joyous. I've just bought the Lily Bard set to read as well. I just started re-reading the Sookie Stackhouse books too. I'm up to Dead to the World. These are such a great read!

I'm now reading "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. This is possibly the saddest most moving book I have ever read.

I started reading "For the Claret & Blue" by Micky Smith a few days ago. Its about West Ham Utd & their supporters. It takes me back to my youth when I used to travel all round the country watching The Hammers. Ahhh, good times.

I'm now reading "The Road" by Cormac McCarthy. This is possibly the saddest most moving book I have ever read. ooo I was about to start reading that but I got started on 'Neverwhere' by Neil Gaiman instead. Its definitely in my books to read for the next month or so however...along with 'American Gods' by Gaiman and this random book I found in Borders called the 'Monsters of Templeton.'

I am still reading "Love all the Paople", but have also just read "Dead Witch Walking" by Kim Harrison. I am also reading "The Good the Bad & the Undead", by Kim Harrison. She appears to have a thing for Clint Eastwood & they are a series of books with Witches, Vamps, Pixies, Faries & Werewolves.

I enjoyed the Charlaine Harris Lilly Bard series. And now I'm just finishing up the Aurora Teagarden series. With all these series, Harris starts with a fairly simple story and the heroine is a little muted, then she develops her personality based on the happenings, as the books get more complex. Harris has an amazing knack of writing these series in very different voices. I think she's a great talent.
My friend lent me "The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo" by Stieg Larsson. It's set in Sweden. I found it hard to understand why my friend was into this book for the first 40 pages or so, which seemed hard going. Then the eponymous girl appeared and it all kicked off. Excellent! A gripping mystery. I whipped through this thick book at a fast pace and then went running off to buy the equally thick sequel, "The Girl Who Played with Fire".
