apparently the new packaging we've been hearing about is going to be clamshell, Some people seem annoyed by that. It doesn't bother me personally. Though Clamshells can be a bit of a bugger to get into. Martha looks cool. I'm glad we've got some new figures showing up!

I mean I don't mind them that much, I just think they're annoying to open and take away some of the old-fashioned funof ripping them open like a kid ha ha.

I suppose it might mean they can pack more figures in a case which can only be a good thing, unless they choose the one character no-one wants and over stuff that one.

Hey, I was looking all over Doctor Who toys .net and I found a picture of the Vespiform that is on the background of the interview teaser. It says that the the vespiform is a custom, not an official figure. Check out the bottom of the page: www.doctorwhotoys.net/customfigures.htmI hope that is true, because I would much rather have a human *coughfemalecough* figure, than a wasp that I could go out and buy at a toy store for a dollar.

Apparently if you put 'wasp' into google, the first picture you find is that one in the background.

1. Because they didn't want there to be more series 3 figures than anything else in the assortment. 2. Because they just used the same photo they used before and added the Toclafane, cheap and easy.

But there wouldn't have been more...there would have been 3, the same as series 2 and series 1 would have 2 instead of series 3 having only 2...

As Adam mentioned, marking Jake as series 3 won't make series 3 figures top the rest as series two already had the biggest number in this assortment. As for the Master - it might be cheaper but that's a false advertising.

Don't shoot the messenger, I just relayed what I read elsewhere.

Don't shoot the messenger, I just relayed what I read elsewhere. Yeah, I read that explanation over at Doctor Who Forum but it just never made sense to me for that very reason. I would just think they want to separate the two new Jacks...but now we have like 3 or 4 different series 1 Jacks and only 1 series 3...who knows their reasoning? He definitely is in a series 3 outfit anyway.

Even though I really only wanted the jacketed version, I'm wondering why we aren't seeing any new pictures of the other new Jack.

Rather quiet in here, anyway for people who are interested, 'some' kind soul has watched a heap of classic series dvds and reviewed them at www.geocities.com/whodunnittv/ also the character profiles are rather good (or so I'm told ;D). [Shameless plug interlude over]

2. Why the hell is the Master missing the Laser Screwdriver when he even has one in the picture? It has been confirmed that he does come with his Laser Screwdriver. It is packaged just below his right hand hidden behind the picture.

I'm so excited! I got the 10th Doctor in Coat, Rose, Cassandra 3-pack in the mail today. I would have missed it but my wife called me at a quarter to 5 (I work until 7) and told me that the Post office had attempted to deliver a package, so I raced over to the Post office and picked it up with just a few minutes to spare! I'm still at work but I couldn't wait to open it up, I have my little doctor, Rose, and Cassandra on my printer so I can enjoy them before they go home and join my little collection.

They announced the SDCC Doctor Who exclusives over at Doctorwhoforum. There will be a 9th Doctor in a Green shirt from Father's Day (the articulated version) and a Time Crash two pack with 10th Doctor and 5th Doctor with celery.
They had pictures but they are exclusive to the forum so head over and see them. The 5th Doctor looks the same as the regular release but he has celery on his jacket. He isn't aged up at all, but it is a nice set. I like that it is actually a New Series set and I think I might try to get one...probably on eBay unless Underground Toys makes them available online somehow as the proceeds from this set go to Children in Need.

That sounds great! Though would probably be a hell a lot of work to get those. Is anybody attending SDCC? Oh and congrats on your new 3-pack, Adam.

Also, the Time Crash 10th has the dark purple shirt he's worn a lot recently! It really makes a difference.
