Angel and Spike could easily share arms and legs. Jeans and slacks looks similar enough that they could get away with it. They could have different lower legs to make Angel taller and give Spike the "tucked in the boots" look.
I wouldn'y mind if this is the last deluxe line we see. Does anyone actually need a super-articulated Fred or Oz? Nobody did any major fighting other than the four they're doing. And I don't see them basing a line around Connor and Kendra.

I don't *need* a super-articulated Fred or Oz, but I'd probably buy them.
I'd be even more inclined to purchase a super-articulated Dark Witch Willow, Illyria, Cordelia, Gunn, Wesley and Connor.
Anyhoo from the sounds of it, they're considering future waves so we'll have to wait and see.
As for sharing parts. Well, *to me* Buffy's body and Faith's body look nothing alike. Buffy is thin, scarily thin. Faith is curvy, sexily curvy. Yet DST used the same bodies for both of them.
I don't see why DST would change this reasoning for Spike and Angel. They may have different torsos (eg Angel a collared shirt and Spike a t-shirt or his open red collared shirt with black t-shirt underneath) and possible lower calves (if they give Spike his pants tucked in boots season 2/OMWF look). Other than that, I suspect them to be pretty much the same.
Cheers, Haeph.

id want a super articulated: -Cordelia season 3 -Gunn season 2 -Wesley from the begining of season 4 -Xander "Chosen" -Willow "Chosen" -Anya "Chosen" -Giles "Chosen" and anyone else they come out with but i think they could/should do a line of super-articulated Chosen figures with like: -Buffy -Xander -Willow -Spike -Anya -Giles theres a line of 6, i loaf it! but it would be too expensive, not enough parts to share, but id like it id buy them, i might be alone, but id love a Chosen Anya, to battle some bringers, then die *tear*

I agree that there are certainly more instances where Super Articulated works (as stated, Dark Willow, Chosen Willow - my 2 favorites I want desperately - I even made a Chosen WIllow with Dleuxe Card and posted in the Custom Thread hoping DST would see it and get the idea to please, PLEASE release WIllow in these 2 "variants". And Illyria - Definitely!
Whether they call them "Deluxe" or just start making a figure with far more than the regular articulation WHERE APPROPRIATE - would be the best way in my opinion. Keeping the Deluxes a separate line means the continuation hangs on how the current Deluxe offerings do - and we all know the fears expressed about the Angel/Spike line (namely the release of them after "regular" ones - though it now is for Summer 2006 (?) AND they avoided releasing figures that would compete with the Dleuxe version (the iconic "look" of Spike and Angel in classic long dark coats and human faces, etc).
If the lines weren't differentiated, we could have had those Spikes and Angels with the regular line. And I think simply making the "Super Articulation" a feature where appropriate for a figure/character also is a better naming convention since "Deluxe" Figures - to me anyway - should include a kick-a$$ load of accessories and something special, like a large accessory too or something. Maybe I'm just letting the Star Wars Deluxe lines influence me as this is exactly how they do it - release a figure (often obscure) with a large accessory you aren't likely to get anywhere else, charge more for it (in SW's, it's usually like double the price of regular carded figure for a "Deluxe" version). Super Articulated versions are mixed in with the regular line, but as stated before, only on figures where it makes sense (CLone Trooper, Anakin, Obi Wan - action oriented figures). And they don't cost anymore than regular figures as they are considered regular figures themselves, just with enhanced articul. And since the Buffy and Faiths were the price of reg. figures, maybe it is true that lots of articulation does not *significantly* raise the price (which is what I've read, but would seem contrary to common sense - but hopefully it's true!). That way even is Angel and Spike aren't well received (and I personally hope as well as think they will be since these 2 scream for the Deluxe/Sup Artic treatment and are essental to "really fun" super cool figures that can goo into just about any pose!!! I'm not happy we have to wait so long, but maybe they did to avoid any conflict with the existing Spike and imminent Angel releases.
As for display "two headed" figures (I want Chosen WIllow to come with an interchangeable hair/wig accessory like I made on my custom - but only because in this case it makes sense to do it that way as her "white haired goddess" scene was so brief, plus it would be a great feature that fans would enjoy swapping and using the Supp. Artic. to have her sit cross legged in front of the Scythe. But for the Vamp/Humans - I guess I don't see this any different from wanting to show say End of Days Buffy both with her jacket on and with bare arms, The change in the figure is pretty drastic, so I can see people wanting to do it and buying extraq to accomplish this. And tho I had asked about swappable heads before, I have since come to realize that one of DST's strategies for resurrecting the cancelled Moore line was to do what it took to keep the line profitable. I'm sure we''ll agree that variants are totally worth it abd is MUCH better than having to worry about the line being cAncelled again!!!
If anyone disagrees with that, just remember that dark, dark, miserable day when Moore announced they were ceasing the line...No Dark Witch Willow...No Tara's..No Anya...it was horrible people!!! I have rarely been so upset in my life over something that didn't involve death or sickness of humans/pets!!!! So, if making a separate figure that shares everything but the head keeps the line in business, then I am ALL for it (heads do seem to bbe fairly inexpensive to make - and if true, I for one wouldn't mind seeing even MORE variants!!! PLEASE!!! :-)
As it is, DST has absolutely made this line incredible - Far FAR better than the Moore days, with 3 times as many figures and on a schedule that is not only reasonable, but at times faster than we can sometimes keep up with (but DST - please don't take that as a complaint ot a reason to back off production - I meant it in a good, happy way - so much goodness that we can't wait to track them all donw! :-)
Anyway, I'm half asleep. have to be up for work tomorrow early and am rambling I think. So I'll sign off now, but DST, keep up the most excellent work, keep the figures coming and I for one will absolutely keep buying!!!! :-)

I would like to see monsters introduced into the delux wave. I agree that most characters don't need deluxing, and I would probably prefer a limited articulation fred than a delux one. but I would like a delux:
Riley Connor Ubervamp Full werewolf Oz (with Veruca and Nina variants)

I wonder how long we actually have to wait. I remember DST saying to keep looking at the Spectrums to see updated information, but won't we have to wait until next month to even get another Spectrum. Well hopefully they announce the episodes in the next spectrum and it's at the beginning of the month. I really can't wait to hear what episodes they are doing. I'd love to see figures from "Destiny" and from "Becoming" as well as "Not Fade Away". They were all key episodes in the Angel and Spike history. For a while I really wanted Victorian Deluxes but I think that the Victorian figures should be with the original line as a boxset after they redo Drusilla.

What was the website that listed the Buffy/Faith deluxe variants last time?
I'm guessing they'll release info/news on the "standard" versions first (aka Graduation Day Buffy/Faith).
For the standards, I'm thinking Not Fade Away. Both iconic "looks", classic and important episode and would seem kinda fitting. BUT, DST may well suprise us.
I also can't wait for news, though the sooner I have news, the sooner I'll want them to be released and looks like we've still got a bit of a wait.
Cheers, Haeph.

Unfortunatley, since these aren't due out until the Summer, DST don't seem to be that miffed about not showing us Prototype images so don't be suprised if we have to wait even longer.
I really hope that we get either a set of Spike and Angel from Destiny, or a set of Spike and Angel from Not Fade Away. I've always wanted versions of those two characters covered with blood, and torn clothes. I think they'd be awesome to display!
Hope we hear something soon!

*yawn* Spike and Angel... Angel and Spike... I am betting 2 Buffy Spikes and one Angel Spike, 1 Buffy Angel and 2 Angel Angels.
I really dislike the deluxe line to begin with, so I really don't care. Though, both Angel and Spike have been naked several times... so maybe clothless Spike and Angel? XD
