I really really hope that we get Victorian versions of Spike and Angel. Those are my all time favorite versions.

Yes! Victorian! I mean there isn't many more varients they can do with them because they have been made a couple times and they wear the same outfits almost every episode.

I hope these figures will have different head sculpts than the regular Spike and Angel figs. I am hoping for a Beaten-Up Vampire Spike and Angel from 'Destiny', Victorian London Angelus from 'Darla', Chinese Boxing Rebelion Spike, Shirtless 'The Trials' Angel and 'Chosen' Spike.

meh...
I guess it will be cool to get deluxe vampires, but I'm not jumping up and down about it.
I do personally hope we get a Slayer line (incluiding Kendra, Vi, Rona, Amanda, Kennedy and Chao-ann)

Im hoping we DONT get victorian figures. I'd love victorian versions of spike and angel but I'd much prefer them to be made in the normal 6inch figure line as they could put in much more detail and not have to worry about too much articulation. Altho', if deluxe victorian figures were made I wouldn't be complaining...

As long as we get an S2 spike with red shirt i'll be happy.
Maybe the suprise is a box set or 2pack, we could get a deleux Master, Glory of Ubervamp!

A deluxe boxset would be very cool.
Do we know if they're going to make the same number of figures as Buffy/Faith? Three Spikes, three Angels?

I'm happy that I can get a deluxe angel but I really could care less about Spike. I have too many of him and I don't really care about those already. I would love an Angel from "Angel" with the cross burn which someone suggested, and I really have no ideas of my own right now - but I will buy at least one for sure.

I'd be willing to bet Buffy Season 2 versions of Angel and Spike will be the two standard figures. Probably versions from Becoming. The "classic" versions of Spike (red shirt beneath overcoat) and Angel (dark dress hirt with leather pants) were conspicuously absent from their respective lines.
I'd also expect to see an Angel Season 5 Angel in a suit, also noticably absent from the Angel wave. My other guesses would be:
Hawaiin Shirt Spike (from "Doomed") and Angel (from "The Shroud of Rahmon") Angel and Spike from Destiny Spike from Chosen (human head w/ trenchcoat)

I'd love a Doomed Spike, and the Buffy season 2 versions of Angel and Spike. I hope you're right about those variants, comicspidey, they'd be very cool.

I'm excited about these figures because I LOVE the Buffy and Faith figures...so I cant wait. But I would've rathered different characters since we just got Spike and Angel figures.
I wouldnt mind seeing Riley, Gunn, Kendra and some potentials in this line, as well as some of the bad guys who are more action-oriented.

hmm...comicspidey's comment about the red short Spike gave mne an idea about what the "improvements" might be...maybe these new Deluxes will have multiple arms..So for example, Spike would have 3 Looks - Black Overcoat, red "shirt" (vest) underneath with Black thick Coat Arms, remove the coat and swap arms with Red Shirt arms for look #2, and then remove red shirt and swap short sleeve black t-shirt arms for look #3. Then again, that might make the coat version too bulky.
I definitely hope they include foot pegs for posing like Standard figures. I personally didn't think the Deluxe Buffy/Faiths needed the "toe joint", as it didn't really add much to the figure looks-wise (the foot was already fully poseable with the ankle ball joint) but greatly affected the poseability adversely due to being one of the biggest reasons why the couldn't stand (i.e. the limp toe joint always failed and just flopped limp making them fall).
I'm also very curious to see how the sharing of bodies will work, assuming they do this to save costs. Buffy and Faith are close to the same height, so this wasn't too much of a distratcion, even though it was obvious there was just one body used (not complaining - the Deluxes are my favorites Buffy figures ever (so far anyway - Chosen Buffy and BuffyBot are coming!). :-) But Spike is noticeably shorter than Angel. So sharing bodies will look very odd, especially in line up with the regular figures which are scaled more or less accurately (actually, I guess I better check this to make sure, and of course I don't have the newest Angels to compare to Spike - but on TV, Spike is a shorty, shirty kinda guy). <grin>
I do agree that the "classic" looks were noticeably absent - I noted this myself in some post somewhere, about how the vamp faces were the only ones to be featured in the traditional long coats. Of course, making a standard Spike was easy enough - I was please to find his head pops off quite easily (the joint is large and sturdy). I stopped at trying to swap hands tho - the joint was stretching, and Spike's "vamp" hands aren't too obvious. And it explained a long-unanswered question I had about the Spike that appeared in the pics of Action Figure's review of End of Days Buffy - he was obviously a custom job someone made there (but neglected to explain in the review article, titilating fans everywhere! Well...at least here. :-)

I think DST may not share parts as much as they did with Buffy and Faith. That wa their first attempt at Delux, and so probably had a lower budget. After the proven success of the delux line, and the Buffy and Angel lines in general, they may just re-use parts for the character (i.e. Spike and Angel don't share parts with eachother). But just a guess!
It would be great just to have a good version of Spike with a leather jacket and red shirt! But I love my other Spike loads

I imagine that it would be tough to do the super-articulation (in terms of cost) without sharing parts. On the other hand, it's tough to imagine them sharing many parts because their heights and builds are so different.

Yes, I hope Angel and Spike have diffrent bodies...
Unlike Buffy and Faith... Faith was way to skinny...

So, according to the latest Ask DST, SPike and Angel's Deluxe bodies will "share many of the same parts". I don't know how to interpret that. And why do we have to always interpret or guess what the answers mean??? It's like watching LOST! :-) <grin>
Anyway, apart from Spike being considerably shorter, and significantly thinner than Angel, I don't know how they could share anything more than...well, feet?
I'm sure they'll do a great job, but this has got me a little nervous, especially if any future Deluxe's are solely dependent on how well these do (and the related issues of them coming out after the regular versions, etc). Oh - which reminds me - they said the release date for these is Summer 206! I always ot the impression they were fairly colse to release - but Summer 2006??? I'll go insane waiting!!! Haha! :-)

they could share arms and feet but not anything else id assume ill get one of each version, like i did with Buffy and Faith but i got another Buffy, EOD, cuz i didnt know we were getting her in the next line but still, i love my EOD Buffy with a ponytail, kickin, but otherwise, one or each will do it for me! i just hope they come with more than one sculpt, the Faiths had the same sculpt and the Buffys had the same sculpt except for EOD, hence why i got her, so i hope they have different head sculpts!!! and good acceosries, id get them if they had good accessories!!!

Interchangeable heads isnt a big thing for me. I think it would be gouging the fans more if they did give them to us.
In my eyes, these figures really arent meant to be played with...they can be, but they are mostly meant for display. You cant display a figure with 2 heads...so hardcore collectors would either have to buy 2 figures to display both or just pick either/or. The way they do it now...is perfect. We have our choice between either human face or vampire face...and if we want both, we cant only choose one. Up until this point...all the regular human faced figures and the vamp faces are all pretty much normal everyday outfits...nothing really episode specific so we arent missing out if we only choose one.
Of course, they could throw in extra heads with all the figures but they'd just end up in my accessory box. And DST already said they wouldnt ever put extra heads in so we should get over that idea.
