For whatever reason, Faith's head never looked quite -as- huge to me as it does in those pictures right there with the bare arms. It's almost like going to a theme park and seeing people dressed as the characters and their heads are about 3 times too large for the body.

I don't like the look of her in those pics, I really don't. Her head is mahoosive! I have a feeling I'm only getting Bad Girls Faith - the one with the best make up.

Well this is a pre-production figure... so our hope is that they use a production process with a different plastic on the head that is much more prone to shrinkage than the rest of the body. If they could just get it to shrink a bit, she'd be great! I think the facial likeness is pretty good now, it's just a really large one.

This review actually made me see a lighter side of the new Faith figure, she really doesn't look so bad afterall! I wish it were possible to tweak the sculpt but at the same DST did a wonderful job of improving the makeup so that it componsated for some of the flaws in the sculpt.

I tried to mess around in order to get a better Faith likeness? Do you guys think it is better or worse?

It looks very good to me, though I think the official photos look pretty good too. What changes did you make?

Now they have reviews for OMWF Buffy and Bad Girls Faith. These deluxe figures are really impressive...I can't wait to get them.

I'm not that Impressed with OMWF Buffy, she seems a little Bland. I think that's one figure that should have been saved for the Regular Line. My bet is that EOD Buffy & Faith will be up in a minute, so my advice to you guys who are desperate to see them to stay tuned!

A little bit off topic, but what's with that Spike shown posing with OMWF Buffy?

It looks very good to me, though I think the official photos look pretty good too. What changes did you make? All I did was darken the hair and darkened the eyes and lips. It was really simple, and I think it actually improved the look of Faith.

Hmmmm.
Happened to pop in Graduation Day into the DVD player the other day and have to say, I'm more than a little dissapointed in GD Faith now.
Inconsistencies include:
- Hair. Episode specific would dictate straight, dark hair. Instead we have wavy, semi-light coloured hair.
- Make-up. Episode specific would dictate "dark" make-up similar to the BG Faith. Instead we have "pale/natural" make-up.
- Jacket. Episode specific would dictate a "pocketed" and "button-up" jacket, similar to that used for EOD Buffy and Faith (but in black). Instead we have a smooth jacket with no pockets and no visible buttons, looks like a "zip-up".
- Jeans. Episode specific would dictate very dark blue denim jeans. Instead we have plain black pants.
Obviously boots are also different, but can be overlooked considering working with on body sculpt.
So, while DST seem to insist on giving us episode specific figures, they don't seem to be taking those extra steps to insure the figures are actually "episode specific". From memory OMWF Buffy and BG Faith are pretty close, as is GD Buffy in terms of colour etc. Don't have season 7 on DVD, so haven't been able to check the EOD outfits.
Obviously too late to change the jacket style and pants colour, possibly even the make-up scheme, but I hope DST can do better in the future. If they can't, then I would be happy with "character" clothing choices, rather than "episode" clothing choices.
Cheers, Haeph.

A little bit off topic, but what's with that Spike shown posing with OMWF Buffy? Id imagine this is for two reasons: 1) to show the scale of the deluxe against the norm 6" 2) recreate that infamous OMWF ending scene? Well thats my guess any who

Oh, I already figured it all out about him. At first I wondered what was up and wondered if it was a sneak peek at a deluxe Spike, then just figured out it was just a head switch after somebody else pointed it out.
