Thanks so much Karen. It definitely looks like these deluxe figs have a slightly larger head. I wonder how they will work for head transplants for customs? hmm...anyone try yet?

Actually, for an oppsite sort of comment - I used a Deluxe Body and Season 5 Smiley Willow head and custom white Sculpey Hair to make a White Witch Willow that really can sit cross legged in front of the Scythe, etc, and it honestly does not look out of proportion. In fact, it looks way better than I thought it would.
So while standing them straight up next to some of the older figures makes the older figures look smaller, in practice they don't really look that out of scale. I think one reason is that a lot of the older figures are molded in a stance or with slightly bent legs (and their heads are almost always leaning forward too far) which subtracts a mm here and there to the height.
For example, check out the one pick of Buffy Series 1 to Dlx Buffy. Not much height difference - in fact, I bet if you spread Dlx Buffy's legs wide enough to mathc the stance of Buffy Series 1 that they'd have very little difference in Height.
As for the heads being bigger, I see what you mean, but I haven't yet tried a Dlx head on a older body...I'll try it tonight (and with some effort, the Dlx heads do pop off and leave the neck stem intact to reattach it. My "Slayer Activation Willow" actually has a head that turns! Of course, her long goddess hairdo sort of gets in the way...but hey, no super glue! :-)
