Just a quick question. I've just got into customising and when making buffy customs its a bitch to sand all the hair off the old series two buffy figures. Do the buffy deluxe figures have easily removable hair like some of the past DST figures, for example some of the anyas. This question is mainly pointed toward the EOD buffy. Thanks,
(didnt know which section to put this in, customs or deluxe?? Feel free to move the thread if needs be)

i think the hair is soft plastic, like rubber so it should just come away easily, like the hair on rogue from x-men the reason its soft plastic/rubber is to stop it interfering with the articulation -wayne

EOD's Buffy has hair like OMWF Anya, meaning its like the older MAC figures- its non removable. The other Deluxe figures should have easily removable hair just like the Willows etc..

I can vouch after getting my Buffys and Faiths today that the "hair" is very soft rubber (maybe plastic, but feels very rubbery). I was investigating this very question as I was checking out my Grad Day Faith - her hair apparently didn't get glued all around (yes, it appears to be held on with glue). Now, unlike the Willow's hair (she's the only one with Removeable hair that I ever took off), the hair on these again is very soft rubbery and pliable, where Willow's hair - removeable or not - was still sculpted of the same hard plastic material, just held on the bald Willow head with soome type of glue too. Faith's hair (and I'm assuming Buffy's - tho I only have OMWF and GD - others posted End of Days is different, which to me would imply a different head mold which I doubt, but can't say for sure) - anyway, WHere the hair "attaches" there's a weird sort of "indentation" carved into Faith's head. Hope I'm explaining it (and I wish someone would direct me to any step by steps on how to post pics - I know, I feel totally ignorant because I can't find it, and with the Image tags I'm guessing it's easy!).
Anyway, imagine Faith bald like Willow. BUT - around the head where the hair will attach, the head actually has a cavity carved into tthe head (I guess this is so the glue has a place to stay instead of a round bald head just squishing it all out or making unsightly glue bulges or something. At first I thought the "hair" might have corresponding "posts" or little molded ridges that would sort of plug into the plug space to help it stay put. But so far - and no, I have not pulled Faith's off - tho I do intend to do Buffy's and swap with Invisible Girl like the one lady posted pics of her custom job. Maybe she has some pics of her crafting it?
Anyway, it's obvious these heads were made with the "soft" hair in mind, and that's the apparent reason for these areas being carved. I wonder though of Faith originally was going to have an alternative hair style - maybe a straighter version to match how her hair looked in Graduation Day? I appluad Diamond for the creative way they've managed to make variants - true variants and not just paint jobs - but by using the main hard body/head sculpt, they've found this fantstic "rubbery" material to allow different hair and jackets (like on Wes and Lorne - and actually, the same type of material is like Anyanka's dress, should anyone have that). Anyway, by mating these two materials, they can have one main mold for the "hard" part of the figures, then make several (presumably much cheaper) "soft" addons to attach to these hard bodies (no pun 'tended) giving us true variants (i.e. the hair is different, the jacket design is different like on the Wes's and even Lorne to an extent) making me want every fig instead of -say like Xander Military or the Tara's - it's just a paint job! (and no, I didn't really say that, but I know others did - so my guess is even Eagle Eye critics will see the differences in "sculpt" and appreciate them, hopefully driving sales even higher (or I hope they've been doing very well - they make great products, creative, attractive, and well done!).
Anyway, thank you DST!!!! You really went all out with the latest, and they are incredible!!! The lines just keep getting better and better with every wave!!! Thank you - and I'll keep buying as long as you keep releasing items this great!!! I've bought more Buffy figures since DST took them over than I ever did when Moore had them - I am hoping for DST that this is true of most people, and thathe word is getting out (yes, shocking enough, the majority of Buffy fans STILL don't know there are Buffy action figures and collectibles!!!). t

Their hair is indeed a soft rubber. My OMWF Buffy's hair is ripped!
