Dear Hadley
I’ve been putting of writing this for awhile because I felt a little embarrassed writing it and it’s not so much a problem as everyone else has had.
But basically what I need is a girl’s view on a situation more than help it’s self. There’s this girl I like, her name is Becky and she’s two years younger than me, I’m 16 she’s 14. She has no clue I like her in the way I do. Her Brother is in my year at school (or Grade to you guys in America) and I’m friends with him, but if he found out I liked her would do one of two things: either get really angry or just laugh and take the piss. But that’s not really it, basically I like this girl and I want to ask her out but I don’t want to suddenly burst it out to her face as it would be such a shock and I think she would just say no because off that anyway.
Anyway that’s pretty much it I think.

Dear Dawn, My best advice is, become her friend first. Maybe have your friend bring his sister to the moves with a big group of girls and guys or just a social gathering of sorts. Maybe exchange emails or talk on the phone/text message for awhile. Becoming friends first and not surprising her is the best way, also, this well help her brother get used to the idea of his friend liking his sister. Having the group together will create a natural dynamic that will let you know if it's workable or not. If you have any other questions, or want any more ideas - just let me know here! I hope it goes well for you!
Sincerely, Hadley
