There will be a new Buffy book coming out in November called, Portal Through Time, and it's by Alice Henderson.
A team of vampire assassins travels back in time to murder a series of Slayers, aiming to disrupt the Slayer lineage. In order to stop them, Buffy must pursue them through time. The endeavor quickly proves more challenging than she bargained for. During her search for the assassins, Buffy must navigate through a Roman invasion of a Druidic stronghold; escape across a Civil War Battlefield; confront rioters and Angelus in the French Revolution; and fend off strange, mythological creatures in ancient Sumeria.

I just wish that they would start adding characters that were actually from the seasons that they make the books from. I mean Season 2 had Spike and Dru, can't they add little bits about them. Then in Season 3 there was Faith, who should be in a lot more books that what she was in. I would also like to see Dawn added in earlier seasons as though she actually existed back then, sort of rewriting history.

I like that. I really like the Dawn idea. I agree Faith should be in more books. But remember she has her own book coming out. And Spike and Dru got their own book too.

Has anyone gotten Carnival of Souls yet? I saw it today and almost picked it up, but with the way that the books have been lately I just couldn't do it. Why can't they write good suspensful buffy novels like unseen, gatekeeper trilogy, and return to chaos?

Anyone have pics of the covers for these new books? I haven't seen a cover sence Queen of the Slayers. I really liked queen of the slayers ALOT untill the last 4 chapters! They were complete rubbish! Here you go Here is a selection of the latest covers. In order (From Left to Right): Carnival of Souls, Go Ask Malice: A Slayer's Diary, After Image and Blackout. However, I can't seem to find a cover for this particular book yet. And I totally agree with you on what you said about the Queen of Slayers, though. It was a brilliant, well written and enthralling novel until the final few chapters when the writer just decided to skip any sort of detail and churn out rubbish. It seemed all the events of the book were leading up to this big confrontation and climax, which just fizzled out at the end. Really dissatisfying. Although I guess I enjoyed it overall.

this story line sounds more like a computer game or something rather than a buffy storyline. Its way too over the top and extravagant, buffy traveling through time....make a good game but not to fit into the second season of buffy. No way. But i do like the front covers of these new books despite the fact that I stopped reading them ages ago due to the total lack of talent in the last few.

I know we have had book reviews in the past, but I know it would be helpful for me if we did reviews for any new novels that come out. I never know if any of them are going to be good and I don't really trust the Amazon.com reviews. It would be great to hear all of your opinions.
